Talking Parents & Pups Runs

I have been in contact with several parents who think it might be fun to have a weekly parents/children VP run. This would be an opportunity for our children to experience VP with adults who know that they are playing with children. The idea is one parent per child, but if you can not accompany your child, you can find a surrogate-CCG member. Perhaps a weekday, after school?

This idea is still in the development phase, but I would like to know how many interested parties are out there and would like to do a trial run. If enough people are interested, we can split the groups up by time zones to better accommodate.

I have 2 daughters, ages 10 & 12, who both have their suits and are sick of only being able to do the factory (my rules.) They desperately want to VP! We have 3 computers, and 2 accounts, but I would only be able to accompany one at a time.

If after a few trial runs we find this to be successful, I would be interested in setting this up on a more permanent basis....with some help of course!

What a great idea, Poppy. Count me in!!!

Both of my daughters have toons, but only my youngest, age 7, really gets into it. I believe her toon is a Name Dropper now, but all of her VP's have been with Dad. I have to tell you, VP'ing with her is the best. She gets so excited when he goes over the edge.

Have to talk to my spouse and test our older PC in both the CFO and VP (it was lagging in the pie fight badly not long ago) but we might be interested. I have a child who has VPed toons w/ the CCG and no one knew the difference (muhaha).

Super Idea ( and I'd say that even if we weren't related in RL). My 10 year old is chomping at the bit to do the VP. He's only a 27 Laff right now and I don't think he has any suit parts..but he DOES have the 'stinking' CCG style down pat!

Until my son is ready I'd be glad to sign up as a surrogate parent.

We would be interested. My daughter (she's 7) has now shown an interested to vp (and cfo ), before that it was only shopping and doodle training for her. It would only depend on the time, in order for us to be able to make it. She's still working strategy, and successfully did her first vp last night (with mom watching). Of course, that was with 3 other SF who looked out for her and with our maxxed toon with plenty of unites at her disposal just in case.

WooHOO!

I have 2 daughters (7 and 10) that play occasionally. The older one used to VP and CFO her toon on the test server while the younger one is into trolley games, doodle training and redocorating the estates.

The younger one freaked me out just last week as she asked if she could take her toon to VP and CFO.... YIKES!!

But this sounds like a great idea! Depending on what time, I'd love to VP with my kids!

surrogate parent

I have two kids, one can VP now and has but the other will need help.

We only have one account so I would have to be a surrogate one run then pass it off to the boys. I would help the youngest in his strategy.

the youngest does not have a suit. Obviously, he needs one. I am making him do his toon tasks to learn the game.

I do let the youngest play Banjo also, so he might use that if the merits and bucks are there. But since I am at the point where it takes a lot of merits and bucks, Banjo is usually not ready anymore.

I'd be glad to sign up as a surrogate parent if one more is needed.

You mentioned wanting this to be a "weekly" event. Originally the weekend afternoon and the early Tuesday runs were set up with kids in mind. Certain notable toons used to show up just to play with the "kiddies"... (many of you probably remember Brer Rabbit???).

If you want to maintain a level of control, you may want to set this up much in the manner the training runs are structured...setting first a day and time, then taking the names of the participants. Finally announcing the teams and pm'ing the districts with some general guidelines such to wait inside, and how long to wait for no-shows and of course a back-up.

It certainly sounds like fun!!!

A Rock 'n Rollin' Idea!

A supertoontastic idea, Poppy! Love it!...errr ummm could we sort of have it be a Grandparent 'n Parent 'n Pups VP run? (But of course, Im sure!) Yep, that's us: three generations of toons~

Count Lefty in!!~ I can certainly bring a munchkin! ~ Ditto, to all those that believe playing TT with your tiny family toons is the funnest toonfun in all the Land!~~

Peaches Googleton (8 last week) has been playing TT since she was 5~ bellyflops at the idea of advancing her VP suit with this Pups Run!

I'd love that! Sadly, though, my family has only one account, meaning my dad (the only one of my parents that plays) and I couldn't do it together... =(

Tentative yes

I'd be interested though at this time only one of the kids has a sellbot suit. Right now she is doing Tuesday and weekend runs but she is slow accrueing merits.
