My favorite moment, was well when I did that 6-man VP (but Silly Salty went sad in that very first round ) and we won with just those 5 ppl! The first round I was with a lureless toon too...

Nostalgia

As I was closing the old Thursday Victories thread I was once again reminded of one of my most memorable CCG moments. How could I NOT remember it??! Every time I went to post in the Thursday thread I was faced with Princess Featherphooey's mournful words bemoaning not getting a VP fix before going off on vacation....and I FELT RESPONSIBLE!!! btw- I was playing Duke Joby Doggenhoffer.

Not only did Toon Dad not get his fix, but zman's wife (little blue dog) was a CC 1 on that run and she bailed out at the very end so she would not promote...or incur merits!!! It was bewildering and hilarious at the same time.

If you take the time to scan through the first few posts you can pick up on several things...such as that we were dealing with people not packing on the elevator. I think that has improved considerably. Also...just in case you haven't seen fashion queen, zman, he's there in all his glory in the second picture.

I've thought about nominating Toon Dad for our TT Hall of Fame. What a hoot he was to play with!!!

Oh, and for those who wonder why we didn't just go back in??? Back then, if you lost your suit to the VP you had to fix it. So...whether you won, lost or bailed at the end to preserve merits, you always had to make 2 - 4 trips through the factory to defeat the foreman before you could get back into the Sellbot lobby. And...we didn't have as many players with a stable of VP ready toons waiting to escort someone back through.

The Greatest Moment!

Hiya! Lefty's Greatest Moment...the replay for you begins with setting the scene...get in the mood...

The last hit of a truly fun battle of Skelecogs just before we were to face the VP...FOUR level 12 GIANT Skeles standing, glaring at us, red buttoned and in all their glory~

Our 4 toon team side agreed to Googles (which worked), one last TU which also worked...and then....a FULL POWER DROP BY PLW~~~ hahahaha!

Ohmy...ahhhh... ~ a defining and glorious moment in TT time~ Lovely! Brilliant! Those FOUR wonderful pianos crashing down~ BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! ahhh music to my ears...(and a fine sight for the Skeles to see also! haha)

(Just one more reason why Lefty luvs the CCG~they ALL luved it too! hahaha!)

This had to be my most memorable moment in the 2 years that I have played TT. Our first ever CCG Uber run before the VP was made easier! I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time! Here is my post from that battle and the link to the post is below that.

Just a Lil Peach 41 Laff
Wendy Storm 45 Laff

Wanted to let all of you know about the 50 Laff and below uber toon VP last night. Thought that this would be the best place to post about it since this was an organized VP with all CCG members! The highest toon that we had at this VP was 50 laff, not sure if this was the first all uber toon VP.
The cog round started off rough when we lost Odlaw to missed lure.
Sorry that we lost you Odlaw! You Rock!! Really would like play again and get the whole team through!
Would like to say that I was honored to play with such an awesome team of toons!! Great communication and teamwork the whole time!!
You guys all rock! We definitely proved that this isn't "Too Risky" for us Hope that we can do more of these in the near future since we have so many great uber toons who are a part of the CCG.

Favorite Moments - All Uber Runs

All time favorite moments:

#1 - I will have to agree with ratso on this one. All those level 10, 11 and 12 Skelecogs kept coming.
Thanks to ratso (Annie) and Dlite for making this one possible. And Holly Wood for great play.

#2 - This one was not supposed to end up so great but it did thanks to Monkey See.

We went in with four toons and made it through the first round smoothly. In the Skele round Holly and Dippy went sad, leaving Seattle Slew and Monkey See for most of that round. After some tense moments we made it through. Seattle Slew is an awesome distance stunner, and about half way through the pie fight I saw he was still at 50 laff. After seeing that I wanted to try for a perfect duo pie fight. We almost made it with no laff loss but on one stun, the VP hit me with gears just as I made the stun. Maybe next time.

#3 An Uber Run To Remember. Thanks again to Monkey See/Monkey Do and Violet bagel.

An Uber Run to Remember!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Violet B. reports
on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 9:00 pm Central

3/8 danced for Daffy Don
in the Uber Run

+ * Violet Bagelburger 25
+ Holly Wood 50 in skelecog round
+ * Angel 48 in pie throwing round
+ Miss Micestro in skelecog round
* Seattle Slew
Lab Rat 28 in skelecog round
* Monkey Do 47 (alt F4'd at end for merits)
Juana Firehydrant 35? in skelecog round

I wasn't expecting to survive this unexpectedly eventful run, so did not take the most careful notes. Please feel free to add your comments, corrections, etc. as needed.

We assembled for the run in Nutty Hills, but switched to Sillyham because there were a few too many non-uber toons in the lobby. There were nine of us in the lobby; Monkey See graciously stepped back and let the rest of us on for an exciting ride.

One of our party was uber-level in laff, but not in gags or experience. This appeared to be her first VP attempt. This made it a bit rocky in places and used up a lot of lure and toonup. But with good teamwork, good luck, and a timely use of Professor Pete to restock our gags, my side made it through both the cogs and skelecogs in one piece, ready to do battle.

Unfortunately, the other side wasn't quite so lucky. Lab Rat, Juana Firehydrant, Holly Wood, and MIss Micestro all went sad in the skelecog round. Don't know what happened--maybe one of them will share their story with us.

This left me, Seattle Slew, Monkey Do, and Angel to battle the VP in the final round. The odds were against us low laffers, but.......three of us made it through! (Monkey Do elected to disco at the end to save merits.) Seattle Slew and Monkey Do, you guys are incredible. What a great job of stunning and attacking! Thanks so much for making this victory possible.

As some of you know, I am challenged with visual and coordination problems in real life that make Toontown interesting at times. Throwing pies at the VP is not exactly my specialty, to put it mildly. Maybe it was the adrenalin that got me going last night, but I actually managed to stun the VP a couple times there at the end, and got in some good hits too. Even my 10 year old son (who is usually highly critical of my performance<g>) thought I did OK last night. Wow!

Poor Angel went sad about halfway through the pie throwing---sorry we couldn't get you through, Angel, and better luck next time. You might have better luck with a regular CCG run (rather than an uber run). Remember to ask for toonups in the pie-throwing, since at the moment we can't see your laff level while battling the VP directly.

Thanks to everyone for making this run possible. And for those of you who didn't make it....we will get him next time. You guys are great! You are awesome! Let's play again!

Violet B.
As you can see the Uber Toon VP's have left me and I am sure some other great ubers some very memorable moments on TT. If not for this great group and the CCG, I probably would be put out to pasture by now.

Thanks to Dlite and Pinkersmirk for all the work putting the Uber Toons together for all Uber runs.

I just found this picture in my files from last May. I had decided to keep Grease Monkey at 25 to be a helper toon but wanted to have good gags to freak people out with, lol. I was not aware at the time of 25 laff ubers so that was not my intention. I worked his gags in the factory with no plans to take him to VP, but when I realized he had his suit, decided to go get a pic of him in it for laughs. When I got to the pit, a toon whispered to me, "nice gag!" It was Marshmallard. When I clicked on her of course I saw 25 laffs and maxed gags - I had never seen such a thing before! I went in to the lobby to take my pic and was surprised that she followed me in. Imagine my surprise to see that she was a Mingler! You can see what she was telling me as I got my pic.

Well I did some research to find out who this toon was. I had some CCG friends but was not a member, in fact right after this my CCG friends insisted on planning a VP debut for Grease Monkey and taught me the "plan". I decided the "plan" rocked, I loved the idea of helping other toons, and I immediately joined the CCG and have been here ever since

Oh, and that chance meeting with Marsh made me decide to make GMZ an uber himself.

A couple shots from that first VP

The rabbit was Nicky Nuttycorn. You are in good hands when you are with her, and the CCG in general. I didn't realize it was a promo for you... congratulations!
