It was alot of fun doing that vp. I read about your request this morning and thought I'd show up to see if anyone else was there. I'm glad there was enough for a group to go. I'm not sure all of them knew this was for the cold caller guild since I had to give instructions several times about using lure and going for the same cog and the like. But we all surived the cog round and did a pretty good job pushing the VP over the cliff. Congrats on your win!!!

The missing toon is Master Domino (toon belonging to my son). He doesn't get to go to too many runs due to the time difference (we're in the UK) so he was really pleased to get to this one (even dragged himself away from watching the cricket!)
So glad we all got through - especially as you were on the side of 3 for the cog round. I was looking at your battle on Master Domino's screen for part of the time but you didn't need much help! We normally meet up in the pit which is why I got you to follow me out of the lobby - no one would have known you were in there Congratulations on CC2! Noisy Banjo Electrohopper |

Master Domino and Big Bubbles
It was a lot of fun. It is a lot more fun surviving than going "sad."
Please thank Master Domino for me. You're the toon that led me out of the factory back to the pit? Awesome! I figured you called some of your friends as folks starting arriving. I was hoping to wind up on the side with the Mr Hollywoods in the first round and when I wound up on the side with only 3 toons, and one about my laff point level (60+) I was worried that I'd fail yet again. But we made it! And we survived the whole thing. Now my son is behind my shoulder pushing me to get off this forum so he can go back to Toontown and try to get a level 3 disguise! Thanks again guys. You really are wonderful. |

Just wanted to comment about your post below..
Quite a few CCG members alread have HW50s and are now working on their 3rd or 4th toons and a lot of them are hiding in the smaller suits/laff that you see in the lobby. There are also quite a few uber toons that run with this group that are small in laff/suit but carry quite a bang when it comes to gags. I guess the way I have always looked at it when it comes down to it is that the suit big or small falls off when you get to the VP and from then on it comes down to how well you work as a team. I have seen quite a few HWs send lower laff toons (including myself) packing to the PG with poor gag choices.. So being sided with Hws really doesn't make your chance of winning any better. Anyway welcome to the group! Hope to see you on future runs. Quote:

But to survive you need both powerful gags (and I'm not quite there yet) and high laff points so you can take "hits" if you get them. Since I joined the CCG I took a vow to not elevator shuffle on CCG runs and I won't. |

High laff, eg. 70+, are only needed if everything goes terribly wrong, like lure keeps missing or toons don't work together. Otherwise you can win the VP even without taking one hit. My 50 laff, non maxxed toon never went sad in VP and even he is not afraid to go in with lower laff toons. Thats why nobody needs to be afraid going in with low laff toons. It's true, there is no guarantee that only CCG members are on the run and I believe in most runs there is one toon who does not follow the strategy, but still, other CCG members can make up for it. Read through the victory reports. They are entertaining and give you a little bit of insight why some runs where not successful and how to avoid it. I keep learning from them. But most of all: Have fun

Check out this thread:CCG : Uber Toon's Discussion No high laffers needed to win here There are a lot of posts there but if you look in the 40ish range of posts, you will see a couple of runs reported. Regular wins with ALL toons below 50 laff. You can win a VP with 15 laffs, as we have shown. The lower the laff the more luck that is needed for lures. But high laff is NOT a necessity for a win, just cooperation.Hope to see you soon, KBB
