Unable to check toon laffs in VP and CFO

I had posted this on the general discussion thread but figured maybe people have not seen it so I am making a new thread - hope that's ok. This is really bugging me and we need to be reporting it daily if not more often. This does NOT seem to be an update as someone in the below thread said - I read the release notes thoroughly and did not see anything like this. Disney is big on teamwork it seems - I think we need to push the teamwork angle in our complaints. This problem means LESS teamwork and more selfish toons - and certain death to many more of our players if it is left alone.

PS - I have sent three reports about this and have received NO answer - not even the usual canned drivel!!

I would like to point everyone to this thread: http://www.toontowncentral.com/foru...6070#post606070

Has anyone else noticed this? I sent a report to Disney, which I posted on that thread. To me this is of particular interest to the CCG as we run with so many lower laff toons. I could not survive as an uber in the pie fight without the help of others and it is far easier for them to check my laff than it is for me to ask for a toonup. I also make a point of checking the others on the run periodically to see if they need help - it is easier to throw a few pies every once in awhile than it is to bring someone back from a desperation point. Please, let's inundate them with complaints until this gets resolved!!

The link you posted doesn't work for me. You probably copy and pasted the shortned version of the link from your other post. I think you mean this link:

I reported this a few days ago and am also waiting for a reply. Maybe they're trying to decide if it's a feature or a bug. What with the 3 day weekend I'm figuring I'll have to wait until Tuesday to hear from them.

I got a reply :(

This is the post I just made on the test forum to ask them about this. The reply I received from Disney is pretty much identical to the three others I have received on this subject, and several friends have gotten the same thing. I thought nothing of it until I got the personal and detailed response about the lure bonus. Something is going on here and I hope we will not shut up till they tell us what it is.

******************************************
I have not done a VP or CFO on test in a long time so I need to ask you this question. Are you having the same problem on test as on open - where you can't check the laff of other toons during the pie fight or crane fight?

I and others have sent off several bug reports regarding this and have received either NO answer or an unrelated canned form letter
(here is only one, the others say the exact same thing using slightly different words:
> "Thank you for your feedback and your interest in
> making Toontown a
> better place.
>
> We are pleased to hear from our Guests and welcome
> your comments
> regarding our products and services.

> When release dates for features are known you'll be
> the first to know by
> frequently visiting our website
> http://play.toontown.com!
>
> We look forward to seeing you in Toontown again
> soon!")

Yet I sent off a bug report regarding the lure bonus and got a detailed, personal reply (you may not know the lure bonus was DESIGNED to be completely random!)

This is suspicious to me, why are they not answering my question? I finally asked flat out IS THIS A BUG OR NOT, and attached the nice lure bonus reply for reference, and STILL got the same old blah blah.

I finally decided they must have done this on purpose and are trying to see how many people are upset by it, then I wondered if so why are they not doing it on test, which led me to wonder if it is like this on test at all.

I would like to beg everyone again, if this concerns you at ALL, please file a bug report!! I for one am extremely upset about it as I run with the CCG and our goal is the survival of all team members. Thanks!

And several CCG members have gone sad since then. I don't know why, but this eats at me. I guess I am an activist now, lol

finally a response

They must have had their writers hard at work writing a form letter because I got the followng as a reply to two of my complaints. I still think we should keep complaining. Hopefully the squeaky wheel will get the grease in this case.

I got the same form letter saturday. In terns of form letters this one does at least seem to say their looking into the problem. The first form letter they sent me on this said some stuff about them wanting to let toons find out certain things for themseves. Duh, if I could check laff I wouldnt have complained that I couldnt. Anyways, I hope this means they'll fix it soon.

My Mood:
My recent reply from Toon town

I finally sent a bug report about this hoping that if enough of us complain they will fix the problem. It actually sounds as if they are going to fix this for us in my reply. Here's hoping......
