Three cheers for nice toons like Googlegrooven!

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

I went sad for the first time in a long time last night. Rats, was I bummed. Googlegrooven finished the Factory, then hurried to DG. She found me, asked to be my friend, then said "Let's go to the Factory!" I went from sad to happy in a heartbeat. Wow! You rock! Thanks a million!

The story: My new toon Duke Dolphy Doggenhoffer (44) had a task for the Factory a bit sooner that was comfortable for me. Yikes! Wilbur along with Googlegrooven and ??? (please remind me! I forgot! ) escorted Dolphy. I've done the Factory lots as BvPickletoes (ND4), and I rarely get hit by the goons. Right off the bat, I get hit by the first one for -5. Yikes! Down to 39. (Wilbur is laughing at me now. ) At this point I was starting to panic, predicting my own doom. Got hit again. Entered the goon-infested room, was trying to be careful, but panicked and got hit twice. Sad. Very sad.

So she found me, we went back to the the Factory, and finished my task. You toons, going out of your way to help, make the game worth playing! Thanks again to good Toontown friends!

I am constantly amazed by my lack of ability to play my "new" toon, Duke Joby Doggenhoffer (92 laff). Joby is my 4th toon to bring up...but sometimes he plays like an only child who's got about 60 laff.

Joby often forgets that some 100 plus toons don't like to take orders from a bossy little 92 laffer. He just plays as if he's one of his big cousins, Deputy Monty or Nicky Nuttycorn and makes a few enemies along the way. Why, I heard him telling some toons the other day, "let's use sound" and Joby doesn't even CARRY sound. He wanted them to use sound though...so he could restock them and get rid of that card he's carrying.

However, Duke Joby has a lot of really good friends too, both Doggenhoffers and others like Little Wilbur....and everyone in the Cold Callers Guild. They are the best!!!

Hats off to all you great toons who make the game fun to play and our owies easier to get over.

Reading, over and over again, that things like this are commonplace when CCG members are involved....even as an observer after the fact....well, it makes a father's heart smile.

As my 5 year-old is playing her toon in the living room right now, I offer my personal thanks to all the CCG members out there who; through deliberate design or without conscious thought; make a positive difference in the lives of others.
