lure strategy

I read the lure strategy for the VP battle. The idea may have been discussed already, but in first part of the VP battle has anyone tried leaving the low level cogs completely untouched and only attacking the first level 12 and his replacements as they come out. In the first battle you frequently get 3 level ones and always a 12. If those level ones were never touched you would only have to attack one cog though the entire battle. Lured or unlured they could never do significant damage. Variations of this could be used if less than three level one's are present at the start of the first battle. Has this been tried? This strategy doesn't apply to the skelecog battle, and is less relevant when you are with high laff toons.

I've heard this mentioned, but I'm not sure anyone has used it in any of our runs. Seems like it would be a good tactic when you have 2, 3, or 4 midlaffers on one side in the first round. Of course convincing all 4 toons to do this could be problematic...it is very tempting to just blow away those level ones with sound.

that is how i play vp leave the small alone...but lately people keep taking out the low level cogs ...it really doesnt add that much time to battle if you leave the small ones there and less time spent healing group.

I think it would be best to convince all 8 toon to apply this strategy. I've been on the opposite side when this strategy was employed, and it was the hardest and longest round one I've ever experienced. I also would like to try it sometime with a group!
