Solo the Factory

I was successful at doing this today after my 3rd attempt. (Not all today..as amatter of fact made it the first time today)

The first time I got sad in the center silo with 1 level 7 left. The 2nd time lure was missing about every other time so I bailed on first silo. But today came through with flying colors and 40 laff to spare!!

Took side entrance (one less battle). Lure missed 0 times and I used 1 SOS "Cog's Miss" in center silo when they were about to come unlured. Has anyone else had success? I was very excited!!

Yeah! I solo lost of times...(play at weird hours, no one on) Most of the time I make it through easily. The trick is to go through the front and then go to the lava room way. That way you can get all the gags once you use em all... The one thing I have had trouble with though is sucesfully soloing the whole factory ( only made it once or twice )

I will never want to solo a factory. To me it's too hard. I just can't see the way that anyone can without sos cards or some other way of help.

Well Dudley should probably post this since PJ and Trix said he showed them how, but I'll attempt it and he can correct me where I go wrong.

Must have 3 (at least) toons with maxxed sound. Do the rooms in this order: (Front Entrance)

Lobby
Gear Room
Boiler Room
Pipe Room
Duct Room
Oil Room
Warehouse
Silos

The strategy is basically this:

Three aoogah's for groups of cogs with 6 as the highest.
Three Elephant's for groups of cogs with 7 as the highest.
No heals until the silos.
In warehouse after defeating cogs, don't stomp the goons just run through them. (fun fun )
On silo's Two Fogs..one heals. One toon gets switch other 2 get next group lined up. Center silo 3 fogs.

Of course sound missing can throw a kink in this but can still make good time even when it does. Hope I got it right. I'm sure there are variations but this is what we used and it worked great and really helped wipe out those 5500 merits a lot faster.

I've done it about 3 times now. I go in the side elevator, to the duct room, skip the skelecogs in the pipe room, then to the warehouse. Then up to the W and E silos. back down to the gear room, then the front, then the boiler room. Back to the pipe room, the oil room then the foreman. getting gags all along the way. at the fromt and lava room. I don't like to go to the paint mixer. I hate goons. You can avoid the goons if you go back up by going through the stompers again after the oil room. and through the warehouse. you get 644 merits this way. Don't know if there is another way to get more. Going the fromt entrance you only get 581.

I have never used any sos cards either. It is frustrating to do it because lure misses a lot, so you get hit a lot. Expecially on the silos. 2 times I came out with 5 laff, and 18 laff. If you have at least 45 laff when you get to the foreman, you have a pretty good chance of making it though.

I made it going the short way one day just because I was board! I was actually shocked I made it.no S.O.S were used and I walked out with 17 laff even with some missed lures. I've heard people say they did the long way and I imagine it's possable if you have luck on your side!

Well after I saw Brer Rabbit's full solo run, I've been trying the short solo run. But I haven't made it yet You guys make it sound easy! I seem to have bad luck at the Warehouse, getting hit for 11 or 12 a couple of times. My lure or sound tends to miss there.

Also I can't work out the best way to use my 6 big gags (cakes and storms) on the 10 silo cogs. Any tips?
