I have spent a long time reading, re-reading and absorbing the events of the last couple of days. I have alternated frequently between deep sadness and raging anger at what I consider to be the death of the CCG clan as we once knew it.
I would dearly love to post my honest thoughts here... but they would be deleted anyway.... so I am being very careful how I phrase this post. I have today deleted my toon(s) from the CCG database. I cannot continue to remain a part of a group that is apparently 'owned and controlled' by this site in a manner that I deeply disapprove of. I was, am and always will be a 'CCGer' in my heart... I joined the CCG because their core beliefs and values mirrored my own... I will continue to occasionally attend runs as a 'random' and will continue to do as I always have.... pack on and do whatever it takes to encourage good teamwork, guide the inexperienced, teach the ignorant and enjoy the dance! My attendance at runs has been lately and will be occasional. My condolences to all the axed Bassies - this must have been a terrible shock for you all. The CCG spirit goes with me in whatever battle I fight, wherever I fight it...

Hmm...
I sincerely hope the mods and everyone realise I have no intention to cause friction of any kind.
It saddens me greatly to be reading of toons leaving. There is sadness enough within CCG right now, confusion too. As a CCG member I felt the need to post something, and YES, I AM a member of the CCG, just because I choose not to attend runs does not mean I left the CCG. I firmly believe in all that the CCG stands for. One of the reasons I joined the CCG was because they stood for fairness. Not just in encouraging and helping all little suits but in their general attitude to ALL on toontown. - not just on ccg runs, but getting merits, bux, notices and options and on boss runs with randoms in busy districts. There are many toons who carry the CCG with them always, and act accordingly. You do NOT have to be on a CCG run to carry the heart of the CCG. However, THE CCG is a unique and wonderul group of people. The majority of the CCG are the kind of toons anyone would be happy to run with. The minority are, like in life, a little rough and un CCG like. Yet the pot of life is spread throughout CCG - the CCG has a pulse - the pulse of the CCG is it members. So where is this going? Things are not always what they seem: Two travelling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guestroom. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem." The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die. "Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it. Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, another entity came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. "Things aren't always what they seem". We don't know why this is currently happening. Perhaps we don't need to know. One side of a story doesn't provide the facts. I know as little as anyone else but I do know I believe in the CCG - do you? Everyone who has posted in confusion about what is happening - i am totally with you! I dont think there is any need for any of this - whats the point? The CCG was fine as it was and yes there was a few hiccups with it but there is with everything right? nothings perfect?
I rarely attended the runs as i prefer randoms but when i go i do try and help the smaller suits to pack on and stay on and dance! Personally i think it should just let it go and let the CCG do whatever they want to do to the clan. I will not be attending ANY more runs. I do not mean to offend or anything i just been watching this thread lately and think its gone on too long. |

ok whats the point of all this?
good CCGers are leavin all cos TTC wont admit they made a mistake, why not just appolizise and give us our old bassies back and let CCG go bak 2 the way we were, CCG was fine b4 all this change now all of a sudden theirs CCGers leaveing and it hasnt made the CCG anybetter ( it has atchually made it a bit worse) because now we hav no bassies theres shufling, i dread to think wat it will be like in a few days, but i mean come on it aint that hard to admit u were rong and say sorry. really is it? sorry if this post may seem a bit rude but its just how i feel and no doubt other people do too. so come on lets just get the CCG back the way it was. The CCGers are leaving because of us being in the shape we're right now. The staff of TTC have taken over CCG temporarily, and on December 21st, when the new Ambassadors are annouced, the ambassadors will start doing things. If you went to a run and seen what would happen there, you would agree with what I am saying about the clan. TTC has also let some rules slide with the CCG. I thought this was very kind of them, but, people have let the rules slide a little too much, and they're keeping serious with this. But, as you read in the first sentence, it says that CCG was founded 4 and a half years ago by AJ the horse. Right now, the mods are basically trying to keep CCG alive, since it has gone out of control a little bit. |

I disagree, but that's about all I can say, because anything else will just be deleted. |

I do believe in the CCG. Very much. Which is why I still attend the runs, and I still report the runs. Do I agree with anything that has happened over the past few days? No. But I became a member of the CCG to help others, and that is what I am going out there to do.
Like many others, I have been thinking a lot the last few days about how these changes sweeping over us are going to affect the CCG. I just don't have that answer, I wish I did. Right now, I just have to wait and see, just like the rest of us. I love all the bassies we had, very much, and I can only go out there and do what I think they would want me to do, what they worked so hard to do. Maintain the spirit of CCG as much as I can. Every one of us has the choice to do what we feel is necessary to show our anger, resentment, hurt, and confusion. This is my choice. I don't know if its the right one, but its the path I have chosen for now, and I can only hope it carries me in the right direction. After some deep thoughts, i have come to my conclusion.
I have always supported CCG and loved it for these past 6 months or so. Lately i have been witnessing some, IMO uncalled for behavior coming from a group of people. I no longer feel welcome here, i have been getting more questions then answers, which mean nothing anymore. I have seen many important and good people trying to get something explained here in a human nature, but to only see it being deleted 2 seconds later. It's a shame that the truth needs to be hidden. The bassies always had the best interest of it's members in mind. For this reason i am leaving TTC, i believe it has nothing left to offer me but more disappointment. Away from this site, i can say what i want, do what i want, and talk to whoever i please without the fear that i held on to. I will continue to run with CCG, as i don't feel it should suffer because of another, however i will not be posting here any longer, don't except me to get the run reports anymore. I am deeply saddened by this, but it is the choice i wish to make. I hope to see some of you at the runs, don't be afraid to say hey. I wish all of you the best, and have a happy holiday - make wise new year resolutions. "Eppur si muove" ~Galileo Galilei Translated: And yet it moves (Nonetheless, it moves.) The quote itself has a long history, and means many, many things. I was told this over and over again throughout my life - and have found different meanings. I hope that someone also takes this to heart and understands the meaning it has to CCG and it's members. |

I think as the players that made a diff in many of the el loads decide to go less with the ccg and post at other sites, it will be harder to win for all 8? But unless im missing something about the game you can control what people post but you can't really control how they load the el? I have always been ready to jump on a el if someone jumped off and really that is all we could ever do to make sure each toon got to go with a full load? I think a lot of the maxed and bigger suits not playing will make it harder to keep the jumping to a min? |

(And maybe I should loggon to TT and at least go and water my poor trees as I have not been on at all in the past couple of days, and that has never happened before). |

The qualities that distinguish CCG-type play are separate and distinct from TTC. You, as an individual, can demonstrate those qualities regardless of of whether you are card-carrying member or not, whether you are a member of TTC or not.
Its not where you congregate - its how you play! Craig |
