It's OK, speaking in the view of the kitty.
Many people don't have the training it takes to sometimes play with ubers. They are usually smart toons, so it does take some skill. Most of the time they play like normal toons, just with only 2-3 gag tracks assuming this was a VP uber. I try to help out the best I can with luring and toonups. Most of the time though, they can fend for themselves. But, if something goes wrong, they do need a helping hand. Good luck in future runs. ![]()

Don't feel bad
Mistakes happen, gags miss, and then ubers go sad. It is part of the thrill and an understood part of being an uber. I have green'd my share of ubers. Keep playing and you get better.
Some toons (who will remain nameless) minipup consider it a point of pride to off an uber. ![]() See ya in the boss battles |

I happen to know the kitty in question, and Steve is a great guy who would never hold it against you. Whether people are used to playing with ubers or not, things happen. It quite honestly has as much to do with luck as it does with training or skill, so do not take it personally. In fact, except for certain guidelines which are traditional in the CCG VP runs, I don't think there is much "training" to be had. And when you've got as few laff as Kitty sports you're just a whisker away from the pg at any time. And ubers, from what my uber friends have said, do not want to be coddled, they want to play. He got on the elevator and took his shot--what more could a little cat ask for?

I do not think he would have wanted to be coddled, but I did want to do my best to get him to the pie round. As I stated, had I thrown a pie with him instead of squirting with my son (because he used up all HIS pie), he would have at least lasted another round.
Our lure was hitting every time and I was riding high on that and just figured my squirt wouldn't miss. That cog really wanted to send Kitty back to the playground, and he did with one swipe. I do look forward to playing with him again, though. You ubers amaze me. You're a genius! ![]() |
