That was an awesome training run. I learned a lot about where the gear shower's placement is, and how to avoid it. Thanks to everyone that organized this.
You guys are great! |

Great training run!
7 or 8 Danced for Madame Chuckle Princess Raven / Teacher Mr. Stinky / Teacher Lady Gigglesnout / Healer Miss Petunia Flippernoodle / Healer Dawn Ov Anudue / Healer Princess Lily Twinkletoes / Student Beaker / Student Super Grama / Student - disco'd in skele round Thank you Dawn Ov Avundue for stepping in...still waiting to hear what happened to Scottsman. This run lasted forever, and our two students go in tons of practice. They stunned and stunned. Teachers were great and comments heard from them: that Beaker and Princess Lily Twinkletoes knew what to do they just needed practice! ![]() That's what this is all about...a chance to perfect your skills while someone watches your back. Great job everyone! ![]() Thank you Murky for planning this...you did great!

I really am disappointed because I really went in tonight feeling that I would do better. Spent lots of time reading techniques and watching the video. And then -- As I said, I really am disappointed and frustrated. Seems I spend more time reconnecting than I do playing. Suggestion: I like the idea of the white squares. I am a very small duck and all I could see was black and brown disguises. |

. When you have a lil 17laffer 2 track uber you tend not to worry about your own laff. I enjoyed this run and would be happy to board the elevator with each of you anytime. Thanks for the fun and laughs. Again if anyone feels they would like to learn to stun, this is the way to go. Couldn't ask for a better group of people to teach you the ropes. Or smack you with a few pies. ~Melissa~ (Dawn Ov Anudae) |

I had a great time - I have one comment...I was standing back on the hill, watching Cultured Pearl chuck them inthe front, and realized that my laff points were going steadily up.
Now, I was standing there alone down about 20 laffs......I literally turned around twice to try to figure out how my points kept going up...at first I thought it was some kind of an unexpected glitch.....then I realized it was Jedthrow (I think) throwing looonnnnnggg distance at me...and hitting me really low, so with the angle of the hill, all I saw was the +1s over my head - no pie hitting me....it was pretty funny...I said "I think this place is haunted."...normally we are so busy driving him over the edge that no one would have the inclination to try to pie you from across the room....lol...great throwing! I want to thank you all for making this a great run. With my history of utter and complete sadness during vp runs, I really needed this practice. I got a little confused as to when someone was talking to me and not just someone near me. So I apologize to teachers if they thought I wasn't paying attention....I'm use to friends yelling 'Doc' when they want me LOL I learned to be at an angle to the door instead of right in front. To watch the blue pie bar and get it just right so your throw will go where you want it to. I think that if someone starts throwing pies at you, just start throwing them back at them! At the near end when I was still in back, I was partly inside the VP near the edge! STrange way to move out into the 'air' with nothing under me in order to get around to the others. The teachers and healers were amazing...thanks so much for helping me. Doc |

Had a maaaaahvelous time!
My deepest thanks to all those great toons on my team. Our teachers did a superb job and I no sooner saw red text than the healers were right there to push that laff back up. By the way, Dawn, how did you get down to 38 laff? We were carrying on when suddenly Mr. Stinky shouts "Dawn needs TU!" We all converged but, of course, that miniscule mouse is far harder to hit with a pie than the monstrous VP. I tried a few times but realized I'd never be able to hit you ![]() I was really bummed when Super Grama disco'd. To get that hyped up, to get almost all the way through the skelecog round, and then *poof*. A couple of the big suits freaked because they were afraid one of the trainees went sad on a training run (wouldn't that look good ). We missed you ![]() Overall, we balanced that VP on the middle platform for a good 20-25 minutes while Princess Lily and I threw pie after pie after pie. I'd guess I took at least 20 attempts from each of the four corners. Boy that front right corner is a pain! I'm surprised no one has filed a discrimination lawsuit against the Toontown programmers for not offering a left-handed toon! Where's my DDL-ToonTask to become an ambidextrous toon for 30 days, huh? ![]() I'm so glad I was able to make it and I learned tons! Thanks everyone! |

Thanks to everyone that was on my team! We had awesome teachers and healers! Thanks to Frostimom for being there for us and many thanks to Murky for organizing yet another great training run! I was able to get lots of practice in tonight. I know I still need to work on avoiding the gears, otherwise I feel much better about close stunning.

Awesome!
This was an awesome opportunity, thanks to everyone for all of your help!
The thread with instructions/tips was great. Applying the stratagies in a real time safe environment was incredibly beneficial. Everytime I bumped a tread and lost 1 laff, I would get hit with 3 pies to toon me...too funny, but as a result, I was able to relax a bit and concentrate on my placement and the blue line. I was concentrating a little too much perhaps and kept forgetting to dodge the gears. Then when I focused on that, "Rusty" would back up and ding me again..."thwap, thwap, thwap" and I was tooned! It's magical! Can you guys come with me on every VP run? I really appreciate all of you taking time out to help us hone our skills. Let's play again! Regards, K. Jon Kit ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Kudos to all who signed up to come and learn, come and heal, come and teach. You all have the heart of excellence and caring and teamwork that drew me into the CCG.
This was the first time I've gone as a healer and I had so much fun pieing toon after toon after toon around the room. I couldn't quite keep up, but our instructors were watching laff while they were giving tips and often were pieing as well. Thanks so much! Awesome teamwork! I learned that healer is a wonderful position to be in to watch everything that is going on. I highly recommend it. One thing that might not have been posted recently and was evidenced in the training runs I've been on. When we all go out of range of gears and have a tune up pie splat party, the VP gets real excited and wants to come to. He goes into a hopping mode, and trys to chase us up the ramp. He does that in VPs, which can have deadly consequences. The way to stop him, was exactly what Dawggie did in our run, leave the tune up party and go right close and land a pie in his gizzard and he quiets right down. Those who were learning to close stun can use that in any VP that has a hopping tinman; get close, gum up his innerds with cream pies, and save the whole team from going sad. I saw that in our excitement to practice, we often don't take a good long look from several angles at the teacher. I saw some really great demonstrations from our teachers, but I think it was often missed by the students because they were very busy concentrating on their own blue bars and movements, aiming, etc. I recommend reading the writen material, and trying it a little, then get back and just watch as the teachers demonstrate. It will all come together much faster. Another thing that Dawggie suggested that was a great tip: stand way off to the side for a couple minutes and observe exactly where the gear spray goes. From the healers view, out of the way, it's very clear where a toon is standing results in no damage or a lot of damage. The training run is a great time to relax and back off to different vantage points and just watch what is really going on, where the gears are going, and where they are NOT going. Feedback to myself: Next time, post the run in all the time zones. I heard how much fun it was to be on the team with M. T. Head and she was playing this training run at 2 am. My not posting the time zones caused a toon to miss the run. I'd be happy to be as helpful as possible to get all the folks who want to participate a chance to be there.
