I was under the impression that the high suits were only to hold back to allow the lower suits to board if it meant that the lower suits would not get to go on a run. In the early birds this happens because only 10-17 toons may be present but at night that is not the case. Packing the elevators means all suits and sizes not just the lower suit toons To quote the rules and guidlines: 2. Guild Rules and Guidelines The reason this Guild was created (thanks AJ), was to avoid the elevator shuffle. So, that is our most important rule. No getting off the elevator. There are only two situations where it is ok to get off the elevator or alt-F4 after the doors close: A) A TALL toon (experienced member) says "wait a minute". If a toon says this, they may want to try to get a better mix of toons on the elevator. We don't expect this to happen very often. B) If the team has 5 or less toons. If there are 6 toons, you are expected to stay on and try your luck. Anyone is welcome to join in our runs so long as they are willing to abide by our core set of beliefs: *No elevator shuffling (once you are on the elevator, stay on the elevator) *No refusing to go to the VP with Cold Callers *No refusing to go to the CFO with Short Changers *No refusing to go to the CJ with Bottom Feeders *Pack the elevators! *No <alt>-<F4>ing from the elevator unless there are less than 6 toons after the doors close All of the other rules are secondary to the first one listed. To view the list of Guild rules, go to our website Granted it is impossible to get an elevator to empty, but it is not unreasonable to think that higher toons would board when they see there are a high number of lower suit toons. but loads after start time should never be with a couple of big suits. I was under the assumption that the CCG was to give the lower suits a better chance to dance, but that kind of goes out the window when the last 2 loads are filled with HW's and there are 2 loads that go out right before that where there isn't even a Mingler on the elevator. You can't assume that low suits may be a 2nd, 3rd, or 14th toon there are lots of people that only have a small toon. My pre-teen son has done runs where he has run in after start time and the highest suit besides him is a telemarketer. He waits until run time then charges in and loads because he thinks everyone else is doing the same. Guidelines: *No refusing to load because of suit, laff, or gag levels. *Taking cogs out 1 at time using "Lure left/kill right" is the preferred strategy of the CCG. This protects all toons but especially low-laff toons. Please do NOT sound away the little cogs unless the entire team agrees to use sound. *The CCG does not approve of the use of angry, unfriendly speed chat such as "You Stink", "I think this is too risky for you," "Are you new here", etc. in an unfriendly way. It is counter productive to the spirt of teamwork. HOWEVER, sometimes CCG friends will use of these types of phrases on each other followed by a "hee hee". It is a special way of being friendly but should be kept to a minimum and always followed by happy faces or happy speed chat lest it be misunderstood. *Do NOT stand directly in front of the elevator as this blocks the view of those on the elevator. Toons get nervous when they cannot see the timer and do not know if their elevator has others on board. Applies to "Big" suits only. Suits start getting big around the 6th level. *The boss cog fight is NOT the place to "work" your gags. Use a gag only if you are certain you have enough backup for a kill. Throw and squirt are the attack gags relied on most. Often it is better to combine same kind gags for a kill rather than mix gags and risk one missing. *The boss cog fight is NOT the place to use glitches! They are often confusing for those new to the boss cog fights. Practice your glitching when you are just with friends...not on a regular CCG run. *Keep the Secret Friend chat to a minimum. For some players, SF chat from the opposite side makes it difficult to see what gags are being selected. *If you are on the loading platform it is assumed you are ready to load. If there are vacancies on the elevator, pack on. If you are not ready to load, stay on the floor or outside. Looks like the highlighted blue guideline is severely ignored. Lots of toons are on the platform standing there like statues. In my opinion the only ones I can see doing this are the ambassadors to keep an eye on things. When my friends and I do CCG we want to run together but we abandon each other and fill the elevators if it is short. If we really want to run together we go to a quiet district where we know we can can on together without any problems. Please dont quote winning %ages they are not really acurrate. It would be interesting to note how many loads started on time and how many reported their results. I like the CCG a lot but to say that all the big suits should hold back is bogus, I can see a handful (the ambassadors) keeping an eye on things but the rest should be willing to board with anybody. Balance the loads a little S.W.O.

Mmm, I think it's quite wise to hop off the elevator saying "wait a minute" If you see that other toons are walking to the platform and haven't made it yet. It's quite frustrating to me when I'm walking in late (I know my fault...) and I see an partially empty vator and I am like three steps away and it leaves. If just one person would hop off for a second I could get on and it would be fine. However, if there are people on the platform and small toons in the vator who feel much more comfortable with a full group, please pack on! I never just wait for someone else once it get's below about 7 seconds... I will always grab on, obviously somebody had the chance to and didn't take it, and I'm not going to let those small toons be dissapointed!
Of course, Melody Spacklequack also was a stand-alone toon until she was around abvout 80-90 laff, I don't remember exactly. So she had a full fun time trying the shuffle many times over. I pretty much gave up VP's and such until I discovered the CCG. And I was THRILLED to invite anybody on my friend list to CCG runs over and over again so they could have the good experience I did. So, I brought along quite a few "randoms" who didn't know the rules, and I'm sure this happens for aother CCG member as well. It's my honor to help those who have always had bad experiences in the VP, and finally invite them to a good one. That was how Sir Fumblesmirk discovered the CCG, because I invited him one day and told him about it. And although I quit TT shortly afterwards, it was my pleasure to see how he was held in such high esteem in the CCG when I returned. Hopefully the problems will slow when school is back in session everywhere, otherwise, try to make it to early day runs or late evening runs, that's when I go and I haven't seen any shuffling. My guess is it's the noon/afternoon runs that are problematic. Also, I will only throw my unmaxed piano on a cog that already had a piano on it, and say I haven't found it yet, to let others know. There really isn't a point to working gags at a boss fight, you can gain so much more points from buildings.... |

Another thing that would be helpful is for toons with experience, NO MATTER WHAT THE SUIT SIZE, to pack on the elevator. Just as small suits don't always indicate inexperience, big suits don't always indicate experience. I know lots of players on here have a bunch of toons, all with different suits, and I have so much trouble remembering who belongs to whom. The other day I saw a load of all small suits in CFO that had 6, and I jumped on, figuring that 1) probably some of the small suits had experienced players behind them, and 2) as a RB, I could help out the more inexperienced players. I am only a RB 24, so I really don't have that much experience-- I'm still learning along with the rest of you. There was only one other RB on board, and the run was a total disaster. I think these days people see my RB suit and figure I can carry the team-- which I obviously can't, I'm not nearly good enough to do that.
I know the majority of CCG runs do end in everyone dancing (excpet for maybe some of the all uber runs) but since ALL CCG runs are NOT reported, it is kind of hard to tell what the winning percentage really is. When I first joined CCG, most of the runs I was on were NOT reported-- that's why I started reporting, so that at least the ones I'm on will be reported. It is really hard sometimes to report the runs that go terribly wrong, especially if they went down hill due to poor teamwork or just poor gag choices. I want to keep everything positive. Sometimes I wonder if the disasterous runs are not reported because no one knows how to give them a positive spin.... I do most of my run reports after at least a few hours. Since I tend to run the last battles of the day, I usually make my reports the next morning. By then I've calmed down enough that I can usually find SOMETHING positive to say, even if it's only, "thanks for showing up." Well that's my 2 cents... See you all in the trenches!
