We had some SF chatting going on in the very start of cogs but when asked to use the speedchat that were very agreeable and stopped. Good players in cogs and several bonuses in the pan portion of battle. Seemed like everything went very fast. Great job everyone, thanks! -------------------------------------------------------------------- Featherbrained as I can be, I forgot to take screenshots of the CEO I was in following the last CJ. I was just too nervous about being in another CEO to remember. We were the last load and only totalled 7 but when I saw the players there I knew it would be OK. I didn't get everyone's names but certainly Familiar/Beltane were there and of course we won, phew! As a sidenote, I AM new here everyone and I'll still be nervous next time too, lol! Very nice run though, everyone tolerated my flub ups with grace and humor. |

That's funny. If skill doesn't impress you, you're gonna love CEO. No need to be nervous in CEO, it's a good battle to watch your favorite t.v. show to, or grab a book-heck some folks even troll the forums while in there! A couple of things to make it as brainless as possible: One fog through the kitchen, tu around 60 laff. Save your gags for the dining room cogs. Feed as many cogs as you can three times so they explode. There is no point in feeding new cogs with less than 100 seconds left on the timer. Start at the tables closest to the conveyors, you most likely won't feed them all anymore, so don't worry about that. Jump off the table when the CEO says "Fore!". They say he makes a sound either before or after saying "Fore!" so you can listen for that if you play with game sound. Just hitting Esc when I see it gives me plenty of time to jump off the table. Take snacks before you get too low. Grab a table or tee, a good book and a beverage of your choice. It should be over in about 15 minutes. For the record tonight's combo was Familiar/Noisy. Beltane will most likely not grow too much in either Boss or Law, in case we begin training runs again and I need a little suited toon. That and, after two toons maxed and a third pretty close, I'm in no hurry to start again. |

First of all we let Prof. Dusty Cheezyslam (my son) run the VP and max his throw to boot (reported earlier in thread). Then WFF and I headed off for the CFO on a wing and a prayer to try and get a toon up unite to take into our first CEO later on. Sadly I disconnected while waiting outside the doors and while WFF valiantly waited for me and I urged the computer to fire up more quickly we didn't make the load. So we hung around in the playground and saw the victorious crew emerge in little more than 15 minutes Woo Hoo. On to Lawbot HQ for the early bird CJ where we saw some familiar faces. Again there weren't really two loads and with a lot of small suits I felt we needed 8. Apologies to those left behind, I hope that you found some more to make up a load. Apologies for missing information. I didn't manage all the screen shots I normally take - due to nerves for first CEO Anyway the cog round was straightforward and scalers and stunners just seemed to "know" who should do what. the 4/4 split gave us good stun bonuses but I have to say that it does seem to take an age to lower the pan!! I think CJ is my least favourite boss battle ATM. We seated 8 on the jury (first time I, personally have managed to seat any - am finally getting hang of cannon and timing!!) and had 34 pieces of evidence. No extra gavels - but not surprising since we were a very small suit biased load. Congratulations to Black Magic on the suit promo. Also congratulations to Belle of the Ball. Our first CJ run was on the same day you had that disaster (other load). We were chuffed to see you back and already a bloodsucker - Well done to you!! From the CJ WFF and I headed to Bossbot HQ... With any boss battle you expect to make a few mistakes the first time. What worried us was how costly those mistakes might be in laff terms. We were sparated in the waiter round. our side used the 1 fog strategy to good effect. the others handled things slightly differently but still with not too many problems. It does seem to go on forever and I was worried about not having enough gags left for the next battle despite our efficiency here. I thought i had taken enough screen shots to be able to count the tables later, but can't seem to find them lol! I think we had 8 tables of 5 BCs and managed to clear all but 11. However if that's wrong please correct me! Getting rid of the remaining BC was a breeze in the end with many lvl7 gags coming out on both sides - thank you everyone. Then onto the seltzer round. Oh Boy! actually aiming and firing was no problem but I had had two hits before realising that the CEO can run over your table without it actually looking as though he is coming straight at you. I also failed to hit escape quickly enough at least twice. Down in laff I headed for snacks. A quick look at others' laff showed that we were with pros, though. I did try golfing but in this group the preferred strategy seemed to be just seltzer and get him gone nice and quick! When I hit 40 laff I was ready to use my insurance policy (TU80) I checked others laff and called one toon (chirpy?) who was low but he declined to come. WFF joined me and i used the unite. After that I got better at dodging and employed my son to hold the mouse over the leave table button and do that job for me, leaving me to concentrate on hitting the CEO. We managed to demote him in less than 20 minutes since no snacks were removed. Great job everybody and thanks for getting us through our first CEO - That was fun. One question What are peoples thoughts about unites and restocks? I used an SOS restock lure at start of 2nd round. It didn't get any thanks which made me wonder if it was the wrong thing - sorry if it was. I would have restocked sound, but couldn't! Also someone threw a restock trap on the other side in first round. It filled WFF with loads of rakes (she doesn't have TNT) and meant that she wouldn't be able to take any more useful restock - TNT is the only really useful trap in this battle and since you can only carry 2 it seems a less than useful restock?? NB this is in no way intended as criticism of that toon - I'd just like to garner the wisdom of others to improve my strategy for future runs! Anyway I'd like to finish on a positive note. We had a wonderful afternoon with the CCG. Lots of fun, familiar, friendly faces, great teamwork - everything that makes being part of CCG enjoyable and TT fun Thanks to everyone! PS forgot to say we got 2 pink slips I would jump at the chance to get some training in how to stun in CJ Last edited by Melody; 06-21-2008 at 01:15 AM. Reason: dp |

Thanks for reporting Blue Skyz... just a note or two of my own to add... ![]() The cog round on my side went smoothly using a combination of sound and drop although we slightly underkilled on the last level 12 - very good teamwork shown. The skeles were a little different - after 2-3 lure/sound misses and incurring too much damage on the 3 medium laffers on our side Pood and I decided to throw out our presentation.... only to have it wedding caked! My bad I suppose for not considering the inexperience on my side, but can I just explain a simple strategy to those that don't know in the hope that some will remember and learn by it in the future...When somebody throws out a presentation, it will normally hold for about 15 rounds so you do not have to worry about the cogs it has lured... they are gonna stay put for quite a while... if you leave 'em alone! The team strategy should then switch from LLKR (Lure Left Kill Right) which is the preferred and excellent strategy of the CCG, to one of LLKL (Lure Left Kill Left), 1 lure and 3 gags (or 4 gags) to the new incoming cog on the left... i.e. you ALL pick off the new incoming cog until no more comes out the door and then you can finish off the lured cogs in whichever way you choose... (now is a good time for a Wedding Cake )I do not mean to sound critical, don't get me wrong, and maybe it wasn't the best idea of mine to do that in a CCG VP with the team we had got but this strategy is so very effective, especially if you have ubers on your team or are experiencing a lot of gag misses like we were, its worth remembering ![]() As for the pie fight, we were making good and steady progress down the ramps... Blue Skyz reported that I froze for a while and then disappeared... it looked slightly different from my end (lol)! You guys all froze, the VP was stunned and his head and the stars were still animated, and I could still run around for probably a good minute. I knew I was going to disco but I had a little fun before I left... I threw a few pies at the VP who took them on the chin with what I thought was admirable team spirit and then ran around splatting all you guys before I finally got the 'server disconnected' message... did you all feel a little damp when you got back to the Playground? ROFL

Cog rounds were smooth and friendly, we had 4 Raiders per table so only the one cog to kill in round 2. I did see several unites thrown during the seltzer battle, but from what I saw most of the unites were thrown by toons that didn't really need them near toons that did . I had some weird thing happen where it was like my toon was on auto-run - I jumped off the table when he came over and next thing I knew my toon was running into the CEO over and over and over and I couldn't stop it. I thought I was going to have to unite where I stood, but it finally stopped when I was down to under 40 laff, phew. At that point, Syn Cerity (at full laff) called a bunch of us over for a unite. I also saw Miss Fangs (I think it was her) run near a struggling toon while she was still in good shape to unite. Great teamwork and we all danced.

![]() Next time, use a level 7 gag or an SOS card like a Clara, Bessie or even a Franz if you really want to be helpful. I'll never forget the time I gagged-up squirt in a DA office and we ended up using squirt guns to kill 11's over and over. It was so painful. Gag up sound or gag up all are best for a CEO, gag up lure just fills everyone up with lure and ya can't lure em to death, unfortunately. Your heart was in the right place though!

Thanks again to all the toons who helped out in that run, although there were some near-sad experiences, the cog rounds went quite smoothly. And the pie round was also a big success! Lots of good stunners, so there weren't any problems. Well, I hope to see you all around soon, and "I owe you one!" Keep smiling, Smile E. Face

I arrived a little late (just bought a wii and was playing tennis). I saw the elevator was full and maybe 8 toons waiting. As I came up to get on, someone jumped off and I was on a load with lots of big suits. Yes! I don't think the toon should have jumped off but thank you anyway. Now for my stock optoins for suit promo to head hunter
