Well, I couldn't really find a place for this post, so I made one, or I tried to make one, won't know for sure until I post it and see what happens. New Year's day was sort of computer deprived for me, my grandkids were here and they pretty much take over my computer. But that is what Grandpa is for, and if he didn't want that, he wouldn't have so many fun things on his computer!! So when I did get a chance to log on, I picked flowers (thank heaven I got over that during the day!! Picked my last flower!!) or helped folks with merits or bux or just hung out. I also checked here for pm and stuff and found the marathon thread by Choo Choo. So, next time into ToonTown, checked my friends list and saw sorcerer was on line and was in Cashbot HQ. A quick question and answer and I teleported in to see about a run. There were a few toons around and suddenly sorcerer's treshold got tripped and she said 'come on we got enough'. Well Alvin is not one to ignore a request let alone a demand by the ladies so in we went. We were not overwhelmed by the number of toons there but who were we to question one of our Heroes? And there was Lady Violet Twinklepretzel herself who I have never had the pleasure of running with before..at least not that I remember. Runt Alvin followed the big suits up and into the elevator and waited..and waited..and there were only five of us...then another big suit stepped on, I think it was Master Wally, not sure. So we were six and Alvin fully expected another couple to board at the last minute...uh oh..nooo...the doors closed..panic..(pig panic)! Only six!!?? And they were happily making cog talk and stuff like it was not an emergency?? My fingers kept twitching toward Alt F4 but I resisted because I was the only one that seemed concerned (Alvin is much braver than I am). Then sorcerer said, "Just make it through the Cogs, we'll do the rest. ". Well, with those reassuring words we calmed down and went to work. First of all we remembered to start taking screen shots. But it was already too late for some information. I couldn't find anything out about this particular Lady_Trixie (got it now, she sent correct name with the _ that I had missed) who is a temporarily tiny purple cat. Sorry! I did the best I could given the panic and wet diaper. The cog round could have been a disaster of missed lures and gags, but we managed to take up the ToonTown challanges with grace and skill..well I hope so anyway...and finised the cogs off only slightly behind the others. Thanks Master Wally for jumping in to help. Lady Violet I hope this did not dissuade you from considering that uber/big toon run. So then on to the CFO. sorcerer was kind enough to ask if I wanted to crane..I declined gracioulsy I hope. I am not sure who was on crane but I know Alvin and I were trying to stomp goons. I don't know how the others viewed it, but I think we did darn good given only six of us and we seemed to have a nasty swarm or reds at the end. I heard someone lament that they couldn't reach any safes. Not sure how that was fixed. I am really sorry the craners at my end of the CFO had to leave their posts several times to bale Alvin and I out. I had my view set for real far back and am still trying to get used to it. But like I said, I think we did ok. Alvin took a hard hit just before the end and took advantage of that to leap on top of a knot of reds right at the door and we were amazed at the number of treasures that flew out. But we never had a chance to reap any of those rewards, the CFO gave up about then. We had real fun in that run, the old ticker was pounding real good with excitement..almost as good as a four mile walk on a hot day! sorcerer I am not sure how to report your disappearance..I know people log out to save merits and bucks, but when you are maxed I didn't think that was necessary. I know you didn't high tail it and run since the fight was already over. You were already logging back in when your dance billboard came up like you were still there. So thanks folks for taking me along and helping us grow in confidence. The whole battle only lasted 24 minutes and from the sound we got one of the few useful rewards..even if it was only a +20 TU! (mild taunt at Good Ol Murky Paddlefink).

I'm just thrilled to read about your first "short elevator" during the marathon! You will find that during marathons there are alot of elevators that go short - often as small as 4, but oh! what teamwork you'll find there!

WHAT AN AWESOME RUN!!!! Just TOO MUCH fun!! Thanks everyone for a great time! Thanks for letting me crane-- guess you all figured you could win even if I stunk, lol! Ricky, you are an awesome stomper-- every time the CFO targeted me, you charged him, and he didn't hit me ONE time! I even used my unite already, for a short load CJ. I', really starting to like short loads! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did-- thanks, CCG!!

Keep the run reports coming Alvin, they are such a joy to read . I'm glad you stayed for the short load, soon you'll think 8 is too many

I didn't take a single note or screen shot of the entire festivities. I think I totalled 11 or 12 CFOs. Elevators had between 4-8 toons (I think only 1 actually had the full 8 LOL, most were 4 or 5). Lots of different toons. Only 1 bean reward, but only one TU (an 80). At least 5 gag up sounds , 1 or 2 gag up alls, and a few misc other gag ups. Overall, a very productive day.
