Greenapplepie reports that on:
Jul. 28, 2008 9:45pm CST CFO 6/7 Danced for TOW Gag-Up Squirt + Greenapplepie PP5 + Floppy Timberleaf RB11 + Dr. Fangs Crunchenburger SC4 + Granny Boo Boo Twinkleburger BC4 Sonic RB50 McZaner RB11 Kailin MB10 + Together in Cog Round (I missed the laff levels… again) I thought we packed 8, but it seems we were only 7 when the doors closed… The cog round was smooth and uneventful. As for the crane round well, I myself have no idea what was up with this one… seemed to go fine at first but at some point the goons started to swarm… whoah! I’m kind of new to this but it seemed like all the ones I stomped would wake up over and over again - until there were almost too many to manage! A TU unite was thrown and probably saved a few from going green (though I was nowhere near, that was awesome!). Unfortunately someone went sad just seconds later and just seconds before the CFO hit the train tracks. I assume it was Granny Boo Boo Twinkleburger because I didn’t see her dance (correct me if I’m wrong). Anyways, down to 18 laff, I certainly enjoyed dancing with you all at the end! Phew! |

Poodleberry Reports that on:
Jul. 28, 2008 1500 CST 8/8 Danced for Doctor Drift +Skinny Skippy 112 HW18 +*Princess Sandy 59 TM3 +*Poodleberry 118 HW50 *Weird Freckles Feathertoes 106 MNG10 +Monkie N. Middle 27 MS8 *Corky Giggletoes 95 TM5 Miss Cuckoo Fumbleflinger 88 GH8 <<<< SUIT PROMO! YAY! Princess Fluffy Sparklepoof HW14 <<<< LAFF BOOST! GO YOU! GO YOU! + Together in Cog Round * Together in Skele Round Having read one of the fastest bedtime stories in history (I am UK so this run was at 9pm for me ) we barely managed to hit the pit in time for this run but we made it! After a quick Hi/How are ya to Izza and Alvin we scurried in to the lobby and wondered who we would be lucky enough to get in the elevator with. Angus was there with me, Alvin too and maybe his grandson and Izza was with a friend.Well we didn't manage to get on with Angus so we charged the next elevator and slipped in with Weird Freckles Feathertoes who was Izza's young friend, leaving Alvin and Izza on the platform to take their chances elsewhere. Pood was delighted to see Monkie on her side during the cogs and as we knew Monkie was a sound uber we quite happily fogged and ele'd our way through most of them. For the skele round Monkie and Skinny got replaced with WFF and Corky and we revised our strategy to LLKR, finishing off the last 4 with Pood's wedding cake. (She has become quite blase with her wedding cakes since she has 2 fruiting level 7 trees at her estate! )The pie round was quite straightforward although Pood's attempts to front stun made her spend more time on her 'bottom' than she would have liked! Eventually abandoning this practice until a more appropriate time, we scooted round the back to stun far more comfortably from the right tread as her favourite left tread was already taken. Apart from the old bag of bolts getting a little jumpy in the middle, the progress down the slopes was good and the battle won with little difficulty. Excellent teamwork from everybody!

Yes in my first screenshot I only had 7 on the elevator after the door closed, but in my second I had an arrow with Cupida's name, standing off in grey space or something. :dunno: It is not unusual lately for that to happen. We had that happen in our CJ also, and everyone panicked, and then was confused.

Grandson's third VP
Alvin Twinklestink Reports that on:
Jul. 28, 2008 1500 CST 6/6 Danced for Sticky Lou Candice Waitim Busy 111 HW37 *nanavicky 112 HW27 +*Alvin Twinklestink 121 HW50 Fat Corny Electronerd 58 CC3 +Queen Cranky Pedalflapper 108 MNG11 (PROMO!!!) A new Hollywood stalks ToonTown +*Beltane 114 HW50 + Together in Cog Round * Together in Skele Round Monday afternoon found me busy doing maintenance on my computer. The poor thing had not been updated in quite a while and I think it, like its operator, is also becoming a bit senile. I hate messing with the computer since afterwards it is always a bit cranky for a few days. I was rescued from this chore by a phone call from my grandson asking if I could help him with his ToonTown tasks. Of course I could! So I logged on. Grandson was in the trolley games since he did not have enough jelly beans to buy gags as usual. As I waited I got a message from Poodleberry asking if I was coming to the CCG VP run. When grandson (Fat Corny Electronerd) finally showed up, I sort of jokingly asked him if he wanted to VP. Well, just like that he threw down a hole and was gone. I caught up with him just outside the doors into headquarters. This old brain was in full overload trying to tell my friends what was going on and trying to give Corny some last minute instructions. His response was, “Let’s go!” So we made our way up to the loading platform surrounded by friends. When the time seemed right we charged the doors as soon as they opened. I don’t know what everyone else saw, but what I saw was Alvin walking continuously and going nowhere. He was right in the middle of the doorway but it was like there was a glass wall and he walked with feet sliding in spite of anything I could do. I was no longer in control. Corny was on the elevator and it was full. And then he jumped off, “Oh great” I thought now Alvin will take his place. But no, Alvin just kept uselessly walking forward against the glass wall. Another big suit, a black cat as I recall, packed on. Still Alvin walked. Finally he stopped and I was in control again and I moved him back. When the doors opened again Alvin and Corny made it aboard with four others. Several toons still on the platform seemed to have no interest and left. You guys missed a good run! For the cogs, Alvin was sided with Beltane and Queen Cranky. I shouted over to Corny to “follow their lead” and tried to hurry us in case we were needed over there. Susan had Familiar already in another VP so I had to be patient although I think Susan can run two faster than I can run one. I heard Corny stinking the cogs and later I heard his big sound, a bugle. Would you believe they finished first and Corny ran over to help us? For the skelecogs nanavicky traded places with Queen Cranky. On the other side I heard either Corny or Candice barking at the skelecogs. That was encouraging…at least they were having fun! Near the end I went for the kill with big sound on a full but partly damaged set. Fortunately nanavicky recognized that it was probably the last of them and called me off so we could lure and heal. Thanks! So we did and then finished them. Alvin ran over to join the fray on the other side and we happily found them all in good health with just two skelecogs left. For the pie fling I told Corny his most important job was to jump when the VP jumped. Pie throwing was secondary. With only six of us I did not want to have two tied up splatting. And he did very well. He never missed a jump. With this team we had excellent stunning of course and Alvin was in his glory driving the old bucket of bolts backward with right-in-your-face lobs from close up. Corny got in more than a few hits and thinks he might also have landed a lob stun once. I always like to think that myself! I watched with envy as he jumped over gear attacks. I look forward to his participation in a CCG training run. After the battle he complained about the card. Then I explained to him how valuable it would be in a tough battle when his team couldn’t afford a miss and he was down to his baby gags. The entire battle lasted just under 20 minutes. The cog round took 4 ½, the skelecogs took 9 ¾, and the pie fight took a tad over 4 ½ minutes. During that time the VP managed only two jumps while our stunners landed 14 stuns..no contest! Thank you all for helping me and my grandson with this, his third VP run. I promise to hammer home the no shuffling rule! It was a pleasure running with all of you again! |
