Why all these debates?

We are all here to have fun! It's just a game. Some like challenges, some like teamwork and some like to help others while someone (a smaller toon) wants to work their gags. Lets all get along. Please! It's the holidays, get used to everyone wanting to do their own thing.

I wish I could say something non G rated atm. Quit whining everyone! It's just a silly game.

Well, I agree with you to a certain extent.. I think everyone should have get along, however, I think there are some hearty debates going on that should be stated. We are here to have fun, but I think it's a good thing that we have a "Rant" forum to let off some steam, and to create some debates. Debates don't have to be a bad thing, there are also nice, clean debates where everyone gets along and just states their opinion. We all have the right to our own opinion, and that's why we have these debates. Not to argue, just to state our opinion.

What??!!! Are you kidding? This is serious business! My livelihood depends on this game as does my mood. Look out of things don't go EXACTLY as I want them to! I wear sack cloth and ashes for two days when my toon goes green. I dream about toon town and it is all I think about! :-)

I totally agree, however, the thing that makes debates on a forum hard to stay "nice and clean" is rather simple. It all comes down to the typer and how what they are writing is precieved by others. I see a lot of times where words and context turns a simple opinion into a you vs them us vs you battle. The fact that we are all behind a screen it is hard to sense/feel the emotions of the writer and one simple word can always turn a clean debate to dirty one in seconds. As the OP stated it's a time where everyone should get along unfortuantely this isn't the case lately.

OFF Topic: Today I was asked a very simple question by my little brother but I found it so hard to give a good answer.(I'll try to leave any religous factors out due to rules) He asked what is a perfect world? I told him such a thing will never exist to what perfect means by defination. (in a nicer way though not so blunt) I said we may already be living in perfect world, A world where you have good/bad is as perfect as it will ever get. We live in a world where too many factors that we humans play driven by free will devoids such concept of a perfect world. In a nut shell, I ended by saying to him where there is someone doing wrong there lies someone doing the exact opposite. Nonetheless, if you see where I'm coming from there is always a balance or so I would hope is the case. If we can balance the bad things with good in this world then there lies a perfect world. With all that said he turned around and said I don't know what I'm talking about. LOL I replied with a simple thank you.

Debates are all good (I don't like the flaming ones) but my point is this... It's the Holidays everyone which means there are a lot more kids playing than usual. Have fun! I love your posts, they're so thoughtful with what you think about others.

Just one kind toon like that can make Toontown a much more enjoyable place. You can lend a helping hand and do so much! Help a toon get off of LOM, max squirt, or even get to 100! You don't know how much that person playing on that other toon is jumping for joy because they finally got through their first VP. Why not give a gift of helping a newer toon for the holidays? Helping anyone does not hurt, it only makes someone glad to have a friend who cares in Toontown.
