Unhappy Died 4 times with CFO in CCG.....

I LOVE and I do mean LOVE the CCG, but I every time I go for CFO I go sad. I could care less but I am now losing all my maxxed gags that I work so hard for. It is always in the magnet room.

I am sad to say, but I might have to leave this group because it seems no one ever helps me when I get in there. I am a cog killer and then when I see an opening I operate crane but yet NO ONE EVER HELPS ME despite me HELPING EVERYONE ELSE.

Please tell me there is future in me actually winning a CFO or I am at a loss and like my toon I will forever be sad...

I didn't see your toon name in your profile. I know if we knew who you were, many members would do their best to load with you and be very helpful.

One very important thing about the CCG is that we do not promise a win. If you've come to our runs with that expectation, I'm sure you'll be disappointed. We are different because our members promise not to jump off the elevator when low suits or low laff are on board. Quite the contrary, we pack on!

You didn't mention the runs or times, but I can suggest that you arrive early on the porch and seek a little help. We do like to help. I also suggest that you never, ever enter the door early; not even one minute early. The most dedicated members follow all of the rules found here: Run Times I would guess that you'd have a better experience with the real members, however we still don't promise a win.

I recommend getting some practice in the mint (or factory warehouse), in the room with goons. Work on jumping them without taking any damage, by jumping from behind them. In the CFO, you can get the goons from behind and you'll be safe and they will toss out treasures to restore your laff, for the few times that the goon did a surprise swivel and caught you in his light. The best place to help yourself survive, is goon stomping...making your own treasures. Stay in one quadrant and protect one craner, and sucess will become easier. These are just some tips that came to mind.

Might I make two suggestions?

1) Watch for the next CFO training run...and go with your best foot forward. The training runs offer you a chance to learn either stomping or craning in a protected environment.

2) Read through the threads about the CFO battle. The CCG has guidelines and if the other toons are following them and you are not they may NOT think you are helping them. Also, when the red goons come out you always want your best craners on the cranes!

Good luck and keep trying...CFO is not my favorite boss battle...hey I went sad tonight in an awful one...and several of those CCG members offered a revenge run...so 5 of us got to go back in and DEFEAT that mean old CFO..I am working my way up the ladder! CCG is an awesome group...you just need to get to know them. And read up on the guidelines so you can be a true team player!

And Miss Flip Flipperfoot got to go sad on this revenge run but she didn't even care that she went sad. She was just there to help. She got revenge later.

I reccomend training runs to any toons that are willing to take advice. I just can't say it enough. Happy Holidays Everyone!

PS: Frosti, you will love the CFO after you get your key soon. Trust me! I think your quest in bux is getting the better of you. We can do this! Love ya!

I suggest, get into the door exactly ontime. I always gets a good group when I do that so try it out

In addition, I'd like you to learn how to operate the crane, most people don't know how and it will be very helpful for you. Craning seems to be difficult but whe you got it, you'll have a lot more fun in CFO.

ps: CFO is my most favorite boss battle for now

I don't know how long I've been with the CCG, but I can tell you... no matter how many times I've gone sad, I keep coming back.

They do their best in keeping the elevator shuffle down.
They have awesome people who offer revenge runs for those who didn't make it.
They are one of the best groups of people I have encountered in Toontown.

I have a 25laff toon and thru his entire Mingler suit, all I did was go sad.
It took forever to get him his Hollywood suit.

Granted it's a 25laff toon and I take the chance in going sad more than my other toons, but there is a light at the tunnel.

I would suggest going in on time and letting at least an elevator load or 2 to go before you board.

I have 5 toons, but only 4 are capable of CFO'g and I would be more than happy to board the elevator with you and do my best to help keep you alive to the victory dance.

Don't give up on us... because losing someone is always a sad moment for us.

If you take the crane, be sure not to throw a safe unless he is stunned (has stars around his head). If you do, then you will be putting a helmet on which will protect him from damage. It is always good to start by just throwing goons at first.

Hang in There!

Hey Miss Flip Flipperfoot thanks for helping with the revenge run and going sad too. You are a true team player!!

Little Petalsnooker - don't give up. When I started CFO boss battles I went sad more than I won. It gets better, trust me!!!! As Frostimom said, going to the training runs really helps! Also, I sought some advice from "the experts" on the IRC Chat - it really helped. Thanks BrrrlGrl.

I used to hate the CFO but now I love it!

I have finally turned the numbers around and I have danced at more CFOs than I have gone sad -- but only by a bit. I just went sad at one CCG run earlier this week -- we all tried hard, and still lost.

The suggestions and recommendations are right on target. The CFO is a challenge for many of us. I stink at cranes and am not much better at goons. At least with the CCG there are many members willing to throw unites to keep us going. I never had that with a random run. There is no stinking with the CCG, and I have found the others toons supportive. So, even when I don't win, I feel good about the experience and try to learn from my mistakes.

I hope to see you on a run soon.

p.s. I usually throw my level 7s during CFO runs, as I am expecting to lose them anyway. lol

You can do it

Looks like everyone else has given some excellent advice already. Take heed to it... dont board the elevators too early..... I usually wait until the very last elevator.... I highly dont recommend that though for you... LOL But if you wait until theres about 12 people or so left in the lobby, you should have no problem at all fighting the CFO. As for jumping on the crane.... If you havent been succesful fighting the CFO yet, then you may want to stomp goons for a bit and let someone else (maybe slightly more experienced) operate the crane. The CFO is definitly my favorite boss battle, because it gives the best rewards.
I NEED MORE JELLYBEANS!!!!

Hi-

I would have to say that if everyone simply stayed in their quadrant and protected their craners, I have never seen a CFO go bad.

I've personally only gone sad 3 or 4 times ever in CFOs, and then only because people start running around willy nilly. If there aren't any goons in your area, stay put. Trust your fellow CCGers to stomp in their area.

Many, many times I've run in 3-4-5-6 toon CFOs, and have never once gone sad in one of those, as many friends will attest. It is because the stompers stayed in their zones and protected the craners, which then allows them to do their job. It is a totally symbiotic relationship - without great stompers, no matter how good your craner is, s/he is in jeopardy.

When the red hats come out, DON'T PANIC. Assess the situation, and stomp in your area. You'll win a much higher % of the time.

If you need help on laffs, get to a quiet area and yell...I've probably spent more unites in CFOs than any other boss battle, but I don't mind if people are "zoning" and need a boost.

My two cents!

Craig

It's quite funny watching some toons run around aimlessly but alot of us know when to stay nearby and also when we're having fun by saying, "I need to keep moving", "I'm bored", "I need practice disabling goons" while standing in front of the door waiting on goons, etc.

Don't give up on the CCG. Please! Once again, I recommend a training run. Murky will post one soon I hope. Love ya Murky! I'm not going to volunteer for the stinky team this time. I stunk last time and spent several days in the naughty corner.

Watch out for those last couple of elevator loads sometimes though. We're letting everyone else go that needs promotions and sometimes busy taunting each other, looking for a short load. But we will happily board any elevator if we see people not loading it up and wait till later to go on a short load. (That's when our mini-marathons then take place, late night after the last CCG scheduled CFO run for the day.)

Who's taunting who? Short load? Whats that? Is that where we load with stinky mice with short legs???

On a serious note though - sometimes the loads with us "Stinkers" is the best time to relax and enjoy the CFO battles. Once again I say, don't let the suits and laff fool ya cuz some of us are on our second, third, fourth, etc toon in the CFO and we will do everything within our powers to ensure that all toons dance and have a good time!

Please don't bother me! ROFL. Love ya Jill. I'm going to go look for a big head task next in support of the Holidays. I've seen lots of big headed toons around lately and I encourage that big blue dog friend of yours to do the same. You are truly an awesome person and player no matter what toon you are on. Soundless, a dropper? I love them all, and I enjoy playing with you whichever way you've chosen to make your toon go. Thanks for the fun and the fun taunts encouraging to challenge me more.
