Vp Run Aug 11 At 1:00 Est

I have been attending runs with the ccg since I was a cc lvl 1. Thanks to the ccg, I am now a HW50, and I love the ccg and the way it operates. Woohoo. Now to the sad story.

I don't remember the names of the toons that were with me and this battle hasn't been reported (maybe there wasn't an "official ccg" member on the elevator).

We were either the first or second elevator to load. We were two spots short and there was a HW50 directly in front of the door along with quite a few various levels. Never the less, we left with only 6 and lost another in the elevator. Now we were five. Everyone said we can do this and off we went. We had some low level laffers, but made it through the cog rounds just fine. Now comes the pie fight. If you can imagine, we fought the vp for over an hour. I used 4 unites (a 20, two 40's, and an 80) but it was a losing battle. When there were only three of us left, one toon said sorry, let's go to the playground and exited. I told the other toon to let's go to the playground but she wasn't ready to give up. When she went sad, I also exited.

I know that having a full elevator would not have meant a victory, and the point of this posting is not to examine what went wrong. That's not the issue. I am very disappointed that no one packed on with us. I know it's summer with the issues that brings, but surely there were some regular ccg members there that could have filled these spots. Maybe out of politeness everyone is waiting too long in order to give someone else a chance to load, but the elevator needs to be full.

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

Yeah Pearl you were there. I was the blue mouse who said sorry and left. And I really am sorry, I just didn't think we were getting anywhere and that we would be there for hours. Thanks Dee Dee Mizzenbounce for the unites and thanks to Wackymarble for staying with us on the elevator even though you are only 44 laff. I really wish people would just get on the elvator no matter what suit, you just jump on!!

Well on a positive note I did learn how to stun

Believe me, I wasn't pointing fingers at you. I was ready to go to the playground as well. Just stayed to let Pearl know we were leaving.

I was shocked that no one jumped on

You could have left me there I had nothing better to do so I decided I would just stun him.

You guys are great, I'd do a VP with you any time. And I was shocked too that nobody jumped on. There was actually one person standing right in front of the elevator when we left

I'm the one that left you all with only 5. My screen froze after I jumped on, along with the timer, then went black. I sat there a few mins waiting for it to come back then finally hit ctr, alt, del to end task. Sorry you all didn't make it. Don't know how much help I would have been but I wish I could have helped.

As far as the ones not getting on, my screen froze on the one toon standing in front of the elevator, just standing there, before going black. Not sure why they didnt load. Anyway, sorry I wasn't able to help.

Sorry to hear this happened. I've been advocating lately that the HWs line up on the sides on the platform, left and right, and that two of them immediately get on each elevator. Having two "tall guys" in the elevator seems to calm everyone down.

Anyway, that hasn't happened, and we still have lots of kids off from school, so we'll still get lots of shuffle.

What I was really writing for was this. There were five of you in the pie round. It sounds like you really gave it your very best shot. Now I want to help. I think that any two of you could have won, if you had really gotten good at close back and front stunning. Clearly you aren't the kind to give up, and I've been in enough shorthanded VPs, and solo'd once, to know that you can win if you have close stunning down to a science.

Please go with the CCG the next time there is a VP training run and practice back stunning, particularly. With one out front pounding him from a distance right in his face, and one in the back hitting every door that opens, you can almost guarantee a victory, even with only two. But someone has to be that really good back stunner (and be OK in the front too).

You all sound like you are very persistent - I just want you to get that win the next time.

Look for a training run soon!

Craig

As I said in my original post, I wasn't trying to determine what went wrong, but you are absolutely correct. None of us knew how to keep stunning him. There were long periods between stuns hence the hour long battle and subsequently the going sad.

I know how to hit the vp but stink at clogging up the gears. I will be watching for a training session.

Thanks

We'll look for you in the training runs! I'm sure you can get him over the side by hitting the open door from a distance - but I'll bet it takes a very long time, because that is really hard, particularly on the flat bottom plain, to get a pie in consistently.

Once you get close up pie throwing down, you'll never have a problem getting him over the edge again...
