Elevator Hopping

The elevator hopping tonight at the CJ prevented the last load from going at all. One toon was so mad she left over it, and I frankly didn't trust that this toon would stay on after hopping on three occasions. One toon didn't have a suit on and didn't seam to be able to load and I certainly didn't want to go on a short elevator with the toon who kept hopping. So, I left.

Sorry to the toon who kept saying lets work together, but there is no way I could go on a short elevator with such an unreliable toon.

All I can say is I wish I had a screenshot. If any of you there know this toon, please let her know the rules.

I don't like the elevator hoppers. They make it so frustrating and so difficult... It can get to you sometimes.

FYI - and this isn't the toon you were talking about I think...on the load I was on (with Obsidian), a mid-level suit hopped off. However, I'm almost certain it was because we were close to the last load, and there was a toon (Boo Boo something...) who had posted here earlier asking for advice/guidance in his first CJ. Well, he was standing there, and didn't manage to get on. So, someone on our elevator hopped off and let him on.

It isn't within the guidelines, but I'm pretty sure that is why there was a jumper on our elevator. At least I hope that was the motivation.

I bet it was her. She did it to the second to the last load and then two more times to the last load. She wasn't getting off of your load to let someone else on, she was just an elevator hopper. She did it two more times after that and prevented us from going at all.

Oh my...well, so much for my altruism theory....which at least worked out for the new guy...sorry your run didn't work out.

And, against my better judgement I'm going to state this...

I know many of you think its ok to jump off to let another toon go, but I don't think it is. I think it is totally unacceptable and against the rules. Someone jumped a month ago and so I packed, only to find out I had jumped in front of the person who was supposed to be given the spot. It made me feel horrible and I blamed the person that had hopped. I was really mad about it.

In some instances, maybe if everyone there are friends and knows what is going on then fine, but at CCG runs when the whole group is going I just don't think its ok. I will never do it. I'm sorry if you think I'm mean for staying put, but I just can't hop off.

Usually I keep my mouth shut and don't share any opinions that are controversial, but this time I'm choosing not to.

Once I was ready to go fight the VP. There were 8 people (including me) in the elevator so I was ready to go. When at the last second six people hopped off, and I was left with one other person who logged out right before we started. I was so mad.

It actually used to be the rule to give lower suits priority in loading so most of the players you see jump off to give up a spot have been around since that was the rule.

I was not aware of that. I thought elevator hopping was always against the rules. I just know it made me feel really, really bad one time and I decided after that to never jump.

I have tried to hop and give lower suits my spot it has more times than not ended in problems. The toon you are giving up for doesnt get on, or it starts shuffle. I will hop only if I know that the toons know why and if I am pretty convinced the toon will get on the elevator. I like the speed chat "You First" for these rare occations.
