Not that I'm complaining, mind you....

But I had a bizarre experience this afternoon on Toontown, and I was wondering if any other CCGers had seen anything like this before.

I was in Nutty River, doing an Office D run with a SF and a couple very nice toons. All was going well, except that I was having some major technical difficulties on my end due to a rather sticky cordless keyboard. I could not maneuver my toon safely through the stompers and moving searchlights in Office D because of the keyboard, and before I knew it....I was sad and back in the playground.

As I stood there, sad in the playground, I talked to my SF about what had happened and apologized for bailing on her and the others so unexpectedly. As I was standing there talking, I suddenly saw myself getting tooned up---within seconds, I got a +1, and +5, and a +10, sending me suddenly up to +16 laff without DOING anything. (And no, I was not standing inside a snowflake or getting a TOW from someone. And I certainly had not stood in the playground long enough to get so much passive toonup.)

That would have been strange enough, but then I went to the gag shop to replace all my gags from going sad, and........they were all there! Even the level 7's were there! The only gags I had "lost" were the ones I had used before going sad.

It was sort of the reverse of the "sad bug" that has plagued Toontown for so long. Sort of a "happy bug", I guess. But I've never seen anything like this before, and I've been playing this game almost since the beginning.

Anyone seen this before???? (Sorry, I was too surprised to take screenshots.)

That's very interesting.

Maybe its a chance on happening factor thrown in by disney. I don't know how to explain why I would think that but...it makes the game more...idk...environmental? like...idk how to explain...but making hte game more realistic in a cartoon world...or more dual....o idk im gonna shut up now!

Awesome bug!

I actually had the opposite of the sad bug happen in a VP once.

In regard to level 7s, you don't lose them going sad in the DA, Mint or Factory to goon lights, lava or stompers.

On the other hand, I have experienced a bug once where I was sad in DG for two and a half hours without being able to TU, or leave the playground. I had tried everything, but eventually got it resolved with the helpful folks at Live Chat.

I had the tu thing happen to me... in the DA lobby. I was down a few laff, then BAM, +1 +5 then +8 (Which was how much I was down after the first +1 and +5)

These numbers look exactly like the bonus from the puzzles in the DA office.

When your teammates solved the first puzzle you'd get +5. When the second puzzle is solved, you get +10. If you aren't down a full ten, you will receive as much as you need, but not more than 10 laff. The +1 is the playground bonus.

Apparently, your ghost was still in that DA, probably standing motionless and unpushable by the other toons.

It looks like the difficulties that they had on Wednesday have not been fully fixed. How sad to not get to stay in a DA office and finish it.

I hope you sent Disney a "report a bug" note so they will realize that it's bothering us and needs to be fixed, top priority.

Mine has that done that before as well. I was doing a CCG run in the Sellbot factory. Well my computer just wigged out. My keyboard literally just stopped working. My mouse, same thing. I couldn't do anything at all! I thought it was just my computer.

I am pretty sure that it is the cogs that take your gags when you go sad. So if you go sad any other way (goons, stompers, train in cbhq) the gags are safe.

Great explanation, Murky. I think you are absolutely right--I was a ghost, and didn't even know it! That would also explain some comments my SF made at the time---she didn't realize I had left at first.

Aah, the wonders of Toontown....

Thanks for posting this, I am learning something new here all the time! I had no idea that going sad any other way than besides the cogs would allow you to keep your gags. That is great!

You shoulda been in the fac when two friends were helping my Raven work tu. They were gooning themselves and went sad. I had never laughed so hard. Unfortunately, I had only packed TU and no other gags. Fortunately, they both went sad on seperate runs, so one was still able to kill the cogs at the silos!
