The Adventure of a Random VP

Though not a sanctioned CCG VP nor really a CCG VP at all I really wanted to share this story.

I was in River thinking about how I have to work tonight and won't be able to hit any of the CCG runs seeing as sleep is important when working over night shift. I thought to myself, "Hey, I haven't tried a random run in a long, long time! Maybe it's better!"

I slipped on my trusty HW suit and crashed the gates of the VP.

WOW! Nothing changed! Shuffle, shuffle, do the two step elevator dance!

I told everyone that we could do this and to stay. On again, off again. Finally some big suit blocked the elevator door and away we went, me crossing my finger the whole time we were in the void. Rats! Three of us only. One poor soul went his way and me and a lovely 55 laffer went the other with me hollaring "We can do this!" all the way to the foot of the VP.

Now is where the CCG factor comes into play. The toon on the other side opts out and here we are, two lowly toons battling for our smiles.
I thought about us leaving but I heard the voices of hundreds of CCGers chanting, "Its better to try and go sad then to run and be sad for sure" so I told the wee one, "Let's work together" and with an ok from her, off we went to battle.

To make a long story short, she used an SOS card, I used every level 7 gag I had, she called her doodle (Yikes! She didn't have toon up!)

We made it to intermission with me having ONE laff left so I turned to her and saidly said, "Sorry! Let's go back to the playground!"

Momma didn't raise no fool. hehe We may not have won the fight but she and I won the battle and we proved to each other that we don't need a bunch of stinky toons to overcome great odds. If she had only had toon up I think we might have stood a chance for one awesome VP victory!

Without knowing about the CCG and the principles they stand for, I probably would have jumped the train with the others and missed a really awesome battle with a wonderful toon. Thanks guys, for teaching me a better way!

ps: I successfully completed a random run right after that and won my HW22 suit. YAY!

The only problem with this is that you would have been split at the skeles, TU or lack thereof wouldn't have made a difference.

Still, you both got some awesome survival skill practice in. Congrats on surviving through the cogs .

Thats awesome. 55 laff?
Yes, once you enter cog battle, alt+f4ing will mean sad, but if you're in the elevator then you escape unharmed (?) but I wouldn't bet the other toons knew that

So true... sometimes our losses are our greatest triumphs.
