Rest In Peace -- Joshua and Monk E. Boy (Read please)

I believe I have told you guys about my mom's credit card running out on my account... Well... Time for some bad news.

I got my account back and... All my toons were gone. I couldnt call because they were off for memorial day weekend. I called today and had to go through the live support chat thing, what they said to do to recover them. Well... They cant recover Joshua and Monk, the only two I wanted back. Now I am so sad. I remember... My first run with the CCG... I was still a cold caller on Joshua. You guys helped me get him to a level 26 Hollywood... A level 9 Robber Baron... And a level 5 Ambulance Chaser. I love you guys so much for the help you did with Joshua and it was fun. And you got me to have Monk E. Boy go through the VP when he was a 40-50 laffer. That made me a lot happy... But now, they are gone forever.

I have made a new toon, not in the spot on Joshua or Monk E. Boy for the hope of having them back, but since I cant I will most likely make them after I get my new toon to Donalds Dock or Daisy's Garden. So if you could help me out, my new toon is Snorkie, a Cyan Pig. I will appreciate it and send me a code if you will help me out.

Awww...thats sad, seriously. I would hate to lose fangs and midnight! I hope snorkie works out for you! Sounds like a fun little guy! I hope to VP with him when hes ready!

I am going to miss doing runs with all of you guys! I seriously cant believe this happened to me... But it did. I am not going to do runs until I have Monk E. and Joshua built back up... With (the new)Joshua having max Lure before his first run.

So let me understand this, they couldn't charge the card anymore for whatever reason (insufficient funds, canceled card, whatever) and shortly after (if not before) they deleted all your toons? Isn't that a little bit extreme?

I would think they will work in sorting it out with you. If you can't pay now, that maybe you will pay again next month? I have never heard of disney deleting accounts so promptly because the renewal came up and you weren't able to pay.

Thought they keep your toons for at least a few months after you close your account.

I would be really really upset if they did that.

Not always so. I have had more than one friend that recovered a toon that was from an account that had been canceled more than 30 days (even up to a year!). I have also had friends that have recovered deleted toons from active accounts up to a year. In fact, I currently have at least one friend on my list (still!) that is from an account that was canceled from January of 2006. I have been waiting to see how long that toon will remain on my friends list, knowing for a fact that my friend canceled the account so long ago. You might see what you can do... something doesn't seem right.

I've also known of quite a few people who reactivated old accounts, over a year old in some cases, and found all their toons there.

Dizz - I too have a couple of names on some of my toons that I just can't bring myself to remove. I know they cancelled over a year ago and yet still they sit there on my list. Guess I'm hoping that one day they will suddenly decided to play again.

I just checked and that friend is still on my friends list. I know for a fact he canceled in January of 2006 because I used to log onto his account at times (with his permission). In January last year, I finally got the error message that I had to provide a credit card number to reinstate the account.

Are you saying they could recover your other 4 toons, just not Joshua and Monk? Because each account with it's toons sits in a database I don't see how only two would be deleted unless someone went in and deleted them before the account was terminated. I think the best thing you can do is have one of your parents call customer support and talk to them. Best luck getting your toons back.

No :/ They cant recover any of my toons.
They told me on the phone 'After 30 days your toons were automatically deleted'.
Then they told me talk to the live support thing.
So I did and they couldnt recover my toons.

Even if toons are deleted, they arent removed from the friend list. Even when they couldnt recover Joshua and Monk E. Boy, they remained on my friends' lists for some reason. (I talk to them on Neopets and they told me there.)

My mom got the wrong account up though XD;;
I didnt want to give her a hassle, SO I just got Joshua back.
My 111 Laffer will be seen at runs again soon!
