What a great group!

You guys are GREAT!

I will write this one in the Thursday boss fights thread, but wanted to personally thank:

Faux Paw
Wally Chops Picklehead
Mouse
and
Runt

Of course, I was running late (how many posts have I started that way...) for the CFO this afternoon...

When I got there, these four were there....Now, I'm usually all over a 4 or 5 person CFO, but I was on Obsidian (only maxxed on throw and lure)....never mind...off we went with a hail of "No Problem" and "We can do this".....

I was paired with Wally (I think he knew it was me, Craig), and we knocked'em down until we had 3 1s/2s, and then proceeded to lure left, kill left (the correct strategy for a two toon side). Finished with minimal effort.

Proceeded to crane round....just as my phone rang...a one o'clock conference call starting late (except I thought it was supposed to be at one o'clock CENTRAL time, not Eastern...).

Well, if there had been 8 of us, I might have tp'd out (or stomped), but with only five....and knowing that we needed at least 3 good craners...so I hopped on a crane, and think I did OK - playing without sound, so couldn't hear when we had stunned him... (you guys tell me how I did) - I even managed to throw a couple of live ones.....we won in fairly short order...thank you so much for doing all the heavy lifting on that one....

What a great group - taking a way below maxxed on a 5 person, and then winning with ease...the CCG is GREAT!

Craig

Thanks Craig!! That run was so much fun. Actually about half way into the crane round my screen totally froze. I was hoping I would be able to come back at some point-but it was not to be. I logged into our other acct on the other computer to see if my toon was still even online and it wasnt. So you guys were short the third craner unless someone else jumped on. Sorry!! Im not sure if I was still there in ghost but I didnt get credit for it. It was a very enjoyable run with awesome toons.

By the way Craig-the green duck in the CJ was me. After I got on the other acct. I realized I wouldnt have time to log back in as Faux so I took my sons toon in. That was a really fun CJ too!

LOL - Ya mean there were only 4 of us in the crane round?! - I would have been ill if I'd had time to realize that....lol....don't take this the wrong way - but I was so busy trying to manage the phone call and crane, and watch for stars, that I had no idea what anyone else was doing. someone was doing a pretty good job of keeping the headlights off me, and that was all I was aware of....

so discoing didn't hurt at all!

Excellent runs, both of them!

Yeah, it works . . . but it's awfully slow and boring. When I'm on a 2 toon side, I prefer to sound and take a few hits, then lure and TU as needed. As long as there are only 1 or 2 cogs over level 10, the damage isn't even that bad. Sometimes we'll sound again, finishing off the damaged cogs from the first sound and damaging a few more. I only like to switch to lure when faced with a full row of big cogs and someone needs TU . . . or we run out of sound . . . or one of the two is soundless.

Yep - that strategy (sounding) works, when you can occasionally take out a few - but my poor black cat only had an ele...so the best we could hope for was to take out a 7....meaning many times we would be taking hits from four 10/11/12...which is OK...unless lure misses after you get hit the first time. With only two toons, you are both likely to get hit at least 6 times over two rounds. And even with 100 laffs, that can spell p-l-a-y-g-r-o-u-n-d.......
