Wink Please be kind to everyone, including discoers!

When a toon discos but their ghost remains in the boss battle it is always nice to toon them up!!!!!!!!!! If it happened to you how would you feel upon reentering tt to find your toon had gone sad and lost all it's 7th level gags. Remember a disco can't be helped in most cases, the least we can do it protect the poor soul who did.

Please correct me if I'm wrong

The fastest way to get a ghost toon out of there is for the person who has discoed to log back onto Toontown with a toon from that account. Even if the person does not intend to continue playing, it would be extremely helpful to log back onto TT. When you disco and then log back in people will see the message "So and So has logged out" and then "So and So has logging into Toontown" one right after the other.

If this only my experience please correct.

As far as I know yes but my experience is limited to when I am able to see me disco on my husbands screen. I always try to log back in as soon as I can. When the ghost is there I know the wait for the other toons is horrible. But you have to remember sometimes when toons have discos they are unable to log back in. Power outages, system problems, heck rl issues.

I just thought I'd post this because I had never thought about it till I read a run report where we had a discoer. I had been playing with the CCG for months at that time and had not given any though to the discoed toons till that point. Well and logging back in after discoing and being in sbhq with 32 laff. Hee Hee But, really it did remind me of what I had read by a seasoned player, toon the discoed toon...

Same experience for me, logging back in is the quickest way. And I am very grateful to those who kept me laffing while gone when I discoed at the CFO about a week ago.

Definitely keep them tooned-up, who knows if they disconnected or are simply lagging like crazy. They may end up saving YOU at a future time.

CCG is about helping EVERYONE no matter what, so lets keep at it!

On that same note....when i see someone standing around on the streets or in a HQ who looks as if they're stuck or discoed, I try to push them off to the side out of the cogs way. I've been in many battles with toons who were stuck and kept having the cogs walk into them! Poor defenseless things

Toons that have discoed can't be pushed. If you can push them, they are either lagging or stepped away from their screen. This is how I can always tell if a toon has discoed or just stepped away... I try to push them. If I can't push them, I know they are not coming back. Most often, when a toon is up at the cogs in an HQ, they left their toon in the pit or on the stairs and someone realized they hadn't moved in a long time so they chose to push them into the cogs. I always try to push them back into the pit if I have the time.

Often they were on the sidewalk afk when some mean-spirited toon pushed them into the street. Usually, you can't push a disco'd toon. I also rescue these poor toons when I see them.

Great point about the disco'd toons. Sometimes when the lag gets bad, it can take several minutes to restart. If I disco on the top floor of a building or at the super somewhere (not at cogs in a boss battle), I will intentionally wait a few minutes in hope that I'll get the credit. Not every toon we play with reads this (or any) forum. Keep 'em tooned .

Owoooo!!

When my Incognito was a wee little toon working her low laff through Minnie's Melodyland, I engaged a cog on the street. There was a toon jumping on the sidewalk. Another toon was there jumping also, apparently to keep him company and make sure no one pushed him into the street. The second toon jumping was apparently watching their screen, because when I engaged the cog, it pulled the monkey named Banjo off the sidewalk, the other toon immediately quit jumping and jumped into the battle. After waiting for the seconds to tick away several times, I realized that the owner was not at the screen as the other one had been. After the cogs were knocked out, his toon began jumping again, this time in the middle of the street. I tried my best to push him back on the sidewalk, but alas!! a cog hit him, so I jumped in there and kept him alive while taking down cogs. After about 30 minutes of defeating cogs, tooning him up, and trying to push him back on the sidewalk, I finally managed to get him back there without a cog hitting us first. He continued to jump his little monkey heart out, & I continued on my way. About an hour later, I ran into this same monkey in the gag shop. Apparently his friend told him about what I did and after several "Thanks!" and "You Rocks" he asked my wee little toon to be on his list. He was a 100+ laffer. I accepted his friendship. For weeks after everytime I logged on and he was on he would ask if I needed any help and was quick to offer it to me. Now even though I am in my 80s on laff, he still whispers "Hi" to me and is always willing to help me with my tasks.
So the morale of my story is to help when you know that the person is not there. Keep them tooned, help to push them to a safe zone, but please DO NOT push them into battles. Your kindess will be repaid!!!!

Incognito - My brave little mouse
Southern Belle - My shy little uber-rabbit in training
Moon Shadow - My timid little black cat

I had a funny experience in DD a long time ago. It was on Z.Z. I was pretty far past DD, but was there for some reason...buildings or something I guess. Anyhoo, I had to make a list for hubby, so I was sitting at the computer desk, but had my toon standing on the sidewalk. So I was there to see a toon come up and try to push my toon onto the street. I let him work his little heart out getting my toon pushed all the way out. And I was LOL the whole time. Hubby plays World of Warcraft, so he's telling me "You should spit on him or something" <--you can "spit" on WoW <g> I finally moved my toon back up onto the sidewalk after he had gotten me in the street, before a cog could get to me.

The toon then said "Let's go take over a cog building!" So I did.<--against the advice of my hubby and my son, who both thought I should bombard him with stinky phrases. He "You rock"ed and "You are awesome"d me the whole time. LOL I hope I at least made him think twice before trying to push any other unattended toons into the street.

Yes please people, don't discriminate against discoers. Some of my closest TT friends are discoers. Man, let me tell you there was a cute little red mouse that I was working gags with the other night & he was really busting some moves. Disco'ing like a man possessed & the outfit he was wearing!!! I think he even had platform shoes on (don't tell Miss Flip Flipperfoot).

Man what happened to the days when you could go AFK at your own risk.
Now I have to watch out for all these Florence Nightingale types trying to save my toon.

OK, OK. I'll bring my toon into the CCG VP, go down stairs watch some idol TV, cook dinner, fold some laundry, read a book to my kids, then come back in an hour or two all gagged up, with a promo and SOS.

Ugh....

BlackL (wishin EKB would bring his presence into this thread)
Which toon do you want to leave? I'll see what I can do . . .

I'll be out of town Thurs- Mon and by the time I get back on Tues I expect

Thankies!
