To the toons I discoed on in 6pm est VP

I am so sorry tt was running fine I had just had a restart of tt and my computer. Then I got in the VP and all I did was lag. I had nothing running in the background.. or so I thought. After I was discoed I looked at my tool bar and low and behold my computer was downloading stooooopid updates!!!

I hope everything went well. Again, I'm so sorry! Now I know a new thing to check when lag starts. OOOF!

There's a way to stop that. I'm assuming Windows XP with this:

Open up the Control Panel, go to the Security Center.
At the bottom, you'll see three things for Manage Updates for. Click Automatic Updates.
Select the option that says to Notify of updates, but don't download or install them.

Now your computer will only download updates when YOU tell it to, instead of automatically and lagging you .
