Holly-day Weekend fac/mint/DA district?

As many are aware, this coming Memorial Day weekend will see toonwide Mr Hollywood invasions running for hours at a time.

I see this as a great opportunity for CCG's members to go to a district other than Nutty River for the big bucks/merits/JNs and enjoy a less grievious time pursuing these between runs.

What do you think?

This is great news. I need lots of merits, bux and notices.

What districts and what times or is it all districts? Is it the whole weekend or just certain days?

If it's anything like the Skelecog one that ran over Easter weekend, it's all districts and runs for hours.

Yep, that's how it is. There will be some breaks in the invasions but they will last for hours instead of minutes.

Since invasions are available in River, and often in Summit and other districts, I plan to spend the Holly invasion special weekend on test where they are incredibly rare and unavailable. It's such a long haul to achieve 8900 bux and 5500 merits on test where players available to help are infrequent and invasions are a chancy once a day for 17 min. occurance.

I support your idea of a CCG district, and I'd like to recommend Giggly Grove or Giggly Point.

A wonderful suggestion! Should they free my toon from Toontown Central playground, I will work some on test and some on open as well, my Piggy has been resting and needs to shake a leg!

I was on test last nite and it was fun LOL. Lots of big toons "STUCK" in Toontown Central to help my baby munkey. It went quickly and of course everyone was friendly. My big toon is also "STUCK" in TTC so she took her turn helping the little guys too.

Back to topic: I would love a CCG District for the long weekend.

I think last year an invasions started around 9 or 10am EDT Saturday and went through to 2pm, then it started up again about 4ish EDT for hours, etc. They may do the same thing, having it on a prescripted timer.

btw this also proliferated level 5 bldgs in the Docks, MML, etc. Good places for 300 bucks/merits/JNs cap and 200 gag pts cap in a relatively short amount of time.

I remember this because I was working on dumb dog and he got several gag upgrades that weekend

Anyway, if we can agree to a working district...

Actually a good idea might be to work in the district for that run (boingy harbor factory, boingyboro DA, giggly grove mints...)

Merits, yes. I don't think you're going to get any bucks or JNs in bldgs during an HW invasion . Blonde moment?

If I'm in town, I'll be hanging on test some getting those 5500 merits. Maybe try to push Ricky up a few suits in Law. Then of course there's gag work needed on the 15 laffer, but I think that one will wait for a little CC invasion - not much skill earned on a green toon

Memorial Day Weekend - Sell - Mr Hollywoods in honor of all the movies coming out to capitalize on the summer blockbusters.

Halloween - Law - Bloodsuckers, because they are like Vampires and you can create a Black Cat.

Easter - Skelecog but I am not sure if this is an annual tradition

4th of July - We get fireworks, but I cannot remember if we get invasions

Labor Day - Unknown

Thanksgiving - Unknown, I either go to a football game or spend it with the family mostly

Christmas Day - Unknown, definitely family time

New Years Day - They have contests

Valentines Day - Unknown

St Patricks Day - Unknown, but I wish they made all the ponds green

I will try to be on test to get those easy bucks, merits, and notices

Nope only those three times feature invasions, Memorial Day Weekend being the longest.

Last year we had the spin doctor skelecog invasions too. Maybe it was originally intended to promote the upcoming Lawbot HQ and they turned it into an annual tradition. It's the second Sunday in April.

Great idea! I'll even bring out Baby (dog really needs to work her gags)... So separate districts for everything? Why?

I'll be there on any one of my bigger suited toons. They all need something at this point, and I have been working gags and tasks on my piggy for the past couple weeks, so they've been neglected. Thanks for suggesting this, 'cause I'm sure it has created an incentive for many people to work their merits/bux/JNs, since River can be so frustrating.

You still get double bucks in mint and notes in DA. Bldgs don't help but the hqs sure do.
