Hello!
Just went on a CCG VP Run and it reminded me of something... it's not bad to ask for help!! :-) We were in the pie fight and a 60ish (?) laffer got down to the low 20's but was still in gear throwing range. Never asked for help, never said anything about laff points. Luckily I remembered this time to keep an eye on folks since we had some good pie throwers. I just wonder how low would they have gone before saying anything if at all? There's been times before when I've been in VP (mostly randoms tho) that toons have gone sad without saying anything. If only they'd given a shout they may have ended up dancing! I'm just putting this in here because I'm sure if you're on a CCG run and you ask for help YOU WILL GET IT :-D I think we all want EVERYONE to dance and we'll all work together to make sure that happens! |

On the other side of the coin, if you go to toon someone up and they run away saying, "No, thank you" then please leave them alone. There are those of us, however few, that will get distracted with pies thrown and this distraction will cause us to lose more laff than we gain. Especially when you see someone that is obviously an experienced stunner, please ask if they would like some help rather than pie-ing without asking. An experienced stunner will know to get away from gears when they are below their laff comfort, but someone hovering over them at the door could cause them to lose more laff. I know it's difficult to understand, but please have faith in your teammates enough to leave them alone, no matter their suit, if they ask you to.
Several months ago, we did an informal poll about what people's laff comfort levels were in the pie round. It was interesting to see that high laff toons with no ubers were somewhere in the 60s for comfort level and those of us that have ubers are comfortable down to at least 11 laff (able to survive at least one missed jump). Personally, I have no laff comfort level. I've danced on an uber at 4 laff back when the vp spun gears out the backside too (remember that, old timers?) and during a Thug Thursday run where the point was to get as low as possible without going sad, I danced that dance at exactly 1 laff. I'd rather lose all of my level 7s than have someone toon me up. The higher the challenge, the sweeter the reward. |

Princess Snappy - Not sure if I was that laffer but it could have been me!
Normally I watch my laugh meter and try to say something whenever I get lower than 30 and I try to watch others as well.....Unfortunately last I had our cats trying to get inside due to a torrential downpour while they were wet, muddy, and kinda angry and my fiance was playing my toon while I tried to get everything under control before they tracked mud all over the carpet....he probably did not realize he was low and since I told him to just try to throw pies and listen for the VP jumping, that is all he did....i did not get to see us dance either cause I ended up cleaning the kitchen from dinner at kitties.... so if it was me, thanks for the toon-ups....... ![]() good run otherwise! ![]() PS - I did see your victory post in response to mine...glad to hear all danced with us! Guess I just missed a few who were behind the VP!!

I am one of those stubborn toons who has never asked for a toon up. I have a fairly good comfort level. Of course, I understand that going sad isn't beneficial for the team but I am usually confident that with everyone focused we can get through it. Whether it is continuing to hit the VP and driving him down the ramp or in the CJ stunning those cogs for the +10 bonuses. Now because of my low laff comfort level, I do watch others laffs but might not run over to toon them as quickly as they would like. So if you are in battle with me, do not hesitate to ask for a toon up. Then I can get an idea of what your comfort level is. There are many ways to convey that you need a toon up.....sad face, asking to use a toon up, help.....etc. Whenever, I see that, I will try my best to help you.

And I totally agree with what was said above that if someone says no thank you to respect that. I know on some angles it can really mess with your screen getting the pie toon-up, but I never really thought about the challenge of going low. Good point. :-) |

Kitties are well.....a bit cranky now since they would rather be outside but the mud is off them.....they did not like the bath though...... Thanks again!

I am unsure when we lost our other uber (I don't hear sad sounds from the back). It is actually not usual for the VP to jump as much as he did in this particular VP, and I'm only glad we didn't lose more toons because of it. The screenshot below is a display of excellent teamwork... tooning someone up when they have reached their comfort level and leaving someone alone that requests it. I love to dance below 10 laff... it even made it worth dancing for Sofie Squirt! |
