The most annoying thing in CJ

I was in a CJ yesterday with the CCG, we were at the scale round and I was hitting the cogs, I needed more evidence so I went to the bear, I got hit by one of the gavels and I lost 2-, then I got right up and the OTHER gavel hit me, 20- then I got up and the other gavel hit me and it was keep going on! I was trapped! That - is the most annoying thing in the CJ.

Yea that is definatly annoying, although it doesn't really happen to me anymore. I guess you just have to be more careful.

The best thing you can learn to do is keep your sense of direction at all times. When you get up after being hit by a gavel you will be facing the CJ and be knocked backwards a little bit from where you were standing. This is great to remember when you are at the scale.

DON'T PANIC!!! Easy to say but...yes is the worst thing you can do. Stay calm and just try and gather your direction as quickly as possible.

Also, trying to remember your surroundings helps greatly. That way when you get smooshed by a gavel you can already have your finger on the direction you want to turn and move, so that once you come to so you can be out of the way.

Also, the same thing applies when you get hit by flying evidence.

With a little practice you should see that this works rather well especially on the 9-10 cog lawyer runs with a lot of gavels. Good Luck to you.

That happened to my mom. She was down to 7 Laff, I had to use a TOWU phrase to save her.

I too have had my issues with gavels. The help provided above is very helpful once you are hit. Now when I get hit, it is only once. One other thing I do to prevent getting hit with the gavel is wait to run past the gavel until it is going down in direction opposite than my path. This provides me sufficient time to get to the evidence (providing no evidence hits me) without getting struck by a gavel. I finally have made it through some CJ's without any gavel hits, but it still happens. Like said earlier, it takes practice, more for some of us than others.
