Where is Dizzy when you need her?
Dizzy should be along any minute to answer any and all doodle questions you may have.
If you do not know, Dizzy is the CCG expert at doodles and doodling. You can trust anything she says in regards to doodles. After you buy your new doodle you will need to learn how to use it. Make sure you ask Dizzy. She is a Pro at calling doodles and will be more then happy to show you how.

Not Dizzy, but....
I have two standard doodles from Donald's Dock and they are excellent performers. I can solo buildings and count on them tooning me multiple times. I also have three from DDL that cost me a fortune and they perform just as well as the standards. I look for ones that are rarely bad traits (grumpy, sad, etc.) from DDL. It seems the more you call on them in battle the better they perform. That's been my experience. |

That depends on what you want the Doodle for...
Are you soloing a lot and need a good Doodle to help with toon up or are you just wanting a "pet" I use my Doodles for tu because I will solo occasionally and the best place for a "reliable" pet is DDL, one that doesn't get tired, hungry or grumpy (even sometimes) Look for one that says "rarely" or "never" They are more expensive though anywhere from 3500 to 5000 jellies They are also relatively rare. Personal experience, not confirmed to my knowledge Train Jump first, max it (10 points for laff) and do the rest as listed on the "Doodle Window" not on your speedchat list. I can get about 18 tricks from my doodle then he'll get sleepy (he will still perform sleepy on occasion). There is a reason DDL Doodles are more expensive. -CBF (Doodle noodle soup...) Doodles
I bought a doodle for my main toon in DDL that was not standard but had very good traits (or so I thught). My black cat toon bought one in DD which is a standard. The standard doodle performs as well if not better doing tricks than the DDL one except has to be scratched usually between each trick. The DDL doodle will do multiple tricks even when tired, but has a bit of a stubborn streek in him.
So given the choise I would buy a standard in DDL and have the best of all (maybe). |

Doodle Traits
Doodle Trait - What you want it to be
Playful always Affectionate always Excitable always Grumpy rarely Sad rarely Confused rarely Tired Rarely Forgets Rarely Restless rarely Lonely rarely Hungry rarely Bored rarely My doodles are as this Rarely Lonely Rarely Sad Rarely Bored Always Playful Rarely Forgets Rarely Restless Rarely Tired Rarely Lonely Always Affectionate Always Playful Rarely Grumpy Rarely Lonely Rarely Tired Rarely Confused Rarely Forgets Always Playful I think they all cost 4998 beans from Donald's Dreamland. They all have suffered the Phantom Doodle Bug. Of which Disney denies having. One doodle I had the Phantom Doodle four times on. I send in the bug reports and wait from one week to two months for them to fix it.

I've been shopping for a doodle for a month before when I found one with good characteristics last week. I wanted one with Always Playful and Always Affectionate which I found last week.
DDL has the best doodle for sale, but the most expensive. If you have a 5000 jb bank make sure you save up and be ready for a good one when it comes. I'm not sure, but is "RARELY RESTLESS" a good thing? Doesn't that mean it gets TIRED A LOT? Because if you're RESTLESS you always move and don't get sleepy. RARELY RESTLESS would make sense that you don't always move and get sleepy...someone feel free to correct me. I'm honestly confused and anxious to know the answer... ~CcE |

I just got a new one on Queen last week after finally throwing in the towel on her previous doodle. One of the traits on the new doodle is "always excited" or something like that. When she is tired, I just keep making her do tricks and she gets excited again. I haven't really done much with her yet, but I think she might be a keeper

Did someone say DOODLE?
OK, here is my opinion for whatever it is worth. In my toon career, I have had 10 doodles. To date, three have been from Dreamland and the other 7 have been from MML. Dizzy started out with a MML doodle that always had a heart above its' head. I didn't care about the traits, it was cute, ok? It was a MML "Standard" doodle. It performed ... often enough ... for an untrained doodle. About that time, "Doodles in battle" had just been released. I figured it would be more important to have a "good" doodle from DDL. I traded in that precious little doodle with the heart above its' head and bought Titania, "Rarely confused." Rarely confused? Yea, maybe in DREAMLAND. Stupid picklemelon. I figured after maxing her tricks she would be better, but she isn't and now I won't get rid of her because she is maxed. I regretted trading in that adorable doodle with the heart for the dreaded beaneater. Titania is doing better these days, but still only working about 70% of the time. Only rolls over and jumps. Everything else is a ****shoot. She typically works best when one of Scout Mama's toons (from normal 70% to 87%) is around and if I could figure out how to gift a doodle, she would be Scout's in a New York Minute. Better yet, I should have Scout follow me around so my doodle always works. I once did an entire battle with only tooning up and calling a doodle. I used actual gags (toon up only) 5 times and every single turn besides that was my doodle. Scout was on my side. That doodle only failed about every 8th trick and trust me, she was VERY tired when we finished. Little Dizzy had a MML doodle with a heart above her head most of the time. Again, it was cute. Another MML "Standard" doodle. It also performed often enough for an untrained doodle. I found a doodle I liked better (cuteness factor again) so I traded the old one in on Sunshine, Little Dizzy's current doodle. Sunshine performs quite often, especially now that she is maxed. For awhile she was hungry almost all of the time, but that recently wore off after making sure I went for a month feeding her once or twice a day. She works probably 80% of the time and usually has a heart. Fully maxed but performs maybe 3 tricks regularly. Super Dizzy has only had 1 doodle... Sassy. She is the cutest little baldy doodle there is. No ears, no tail, and pink... looks like a naked molerat but performs at almost every calling. Went for the PINK factor on this one, another MML doodle but I believe this one was "Pretty Excitable." She works probably 80-90% of the time and usually has a heart. She is fully maxed but only performs about 3 tricks regularly. Missy has Tinkles, another cuteness factor MML Doodle (I think this one was "Often Affectionate") who performs most of the time... probably 80-90% of the time and almost always has a heart. She is maxed in only 3 tricks but performs all 3 of those tricks most of the time. Mousewife is fun, and really needed a doodle named Orangeade, so obviously needed an orange doodle. Another MML doodle (either standard or often affectionate) which probably works 80-90% of the time and usually has a heart. Fully maxed but usually performs 2 tricks regularly. McZilla had a DDL doodle (not sure of characteristics but it was useless) when I got him and I quickly sold that worthless rat and bought Minuet, a DDL, "Rarely Tired, Rarely Confused." Perhaps she would have been less confused had I spoken PIG LATIN. Stupid as could be and hungry all the time so I traded her in recently on Sweetie Pie, another DDL "Rarely Tired Rarely Confused." This one seems to be a little better, but still not that great. Never a heart and rarely works in battle, but isn't trained yet. Just bought another MML doodle yesterday... Pretty Excitable. 3 minutes after buying the thing, I hadn't even visited her at my estate, called her into battle and she jumped and played dead immediately. My general opinion is that MML doodles are happier, hence all the hearts. Happy doodles are working doodles, ifyaknowhatimean. My DDL doodles just seem to be bumps on the log for the most part. Oh, they work, often enough I suppose, but I prefer the MML doodles. No matter what doodle you choose, I have some tips to keep it happy. Every single day you log on, the very first thing you do before you ever get your merits or go into battle is to go home and feed and scratch your doodle. You should feed your doodle a minimum of once a day, twice if you can. If you call it into battle, go home and scratch it again. If you call it into battle often, give it another bean. If you go home and get beans say, "Good girl/boy!" even if you haven't called it yet. If you fish or garden at your estate, make sure you scratch your doodle before you leave. If you plan to call your doodle into battle, go home and give it another scratch. I don't think you can scratch it too much, but you CAN feed it too much. I realized when I was feeding Sunshine 10 or more times a day, that is when she seemed to always be hungry. It was like if she didn't get her 10th bean, she would starve to death! When I cut her back to maximum 3 beans a day, she stopped being so darn hungry. If your doodle gets lonely often, make another toon just to buy a doodle. Just buy a TTC special for that one... the main thing is that your good doodle is happy, and if a friend will make her/him happy, that's what you need to do. If your doodle is often tired, you need to scratch it more often. If it requires more than 3 scratches a day from normal play (not like my marathon doodle cfo), time to get another doodle. If your doodle is often bored, scratch it also. Make sure you call it into battle once a day to alleviate the boredom. If your doodle is often mad under normal play, there really isn't much hope. You can try finding it a friend but mad is not often from lonliness. Mad is either a state of being or you've mistreated your doodle (haven't scratched or fed it in awhile). Last, but not least, make sure your doodle knows you love her. Don't just count on the Toontown "Good girl!" that comes from your toon when you call it into battle. Tell it "Good girl!" and "Nice doodle." as soon as you call it and every time you scratch or feed it. I also give her a "Love ya!" when she performs. Never ever ever yell at your doodle, even if she doesn't perform. Wait until after she leaves to say anything negative. Don't even tell a friend, "No" when your doodle is around so they don't think you are talking to them. Happy thoughts and praises produce happy doodles. I only have a couple tips on training. Train jump first. It tires the doodles least and is easiest for them to perform. Maxed jump will give 10 laff. After you max jump, spend about an hour working all of the other tricks and mark down which tricks your doodle performs the most. When you've figured that out, train that trick next, and so on. Typically a doodle has 2 or 3 tricks that it will perform more than the others, and I only use these tricks when calling into battle. Most of my doodles love to Play Dead and will almost never Beg or Speak. Sunshine loves to Backflip and Titania loves to Rollover. So there it is. Dizzy's guide to doodling. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. There is zero science to my doodling, but my doodles love me and often perform so I must be doing something right. |
