PreKey party for one of CCGs most well known toons
Have you ever wanted to be part of something big?
As many of you are aware, the CCG is home to the infamous Sad Lisa. I sure we've all killed her off once or twice. Well, believe it or not, the final merits have been earned and she is ready to attend her key run. When I heard she was thinking about just getting it over with by going to a regularly scheduled CCG run, I was sure there would be a stampede of toons trying to get on the elevator. I contacted OSHA to see if something could be done about unsafe stairs in the Sellbot HQ. They contacted the VP who told them if they had better graphics drivers, they would notice where the stairs ended and would not fall off. So, in order to maintain order and discipline in the regularly scheduled runs, Lisa has chosen her band of merry toons and will be escorted to the Sellbot HQ to earn that Sell key Tuesday January 9, 2007. Hey, that's today! That is correct! You heard it here first! Since we are not sure when she will actually win the VP, we figured it would be safer to have a pre party. And since she couldn't go to the CCG. We thought we would invite the CCG to be with her. So, here is your invitation to be part of something big. What: Pre Key Party for Sad Lisa Time: 8:30 PM EST District: Giggly Point Place: The Sell Pit of course Send off of the initial band of merry toons: 9:30 PM EST As part of the festivities we have a couple of planned events. I am looking for a few volunteer Cult.....er......Group leaders. If you would like to be a group leader, please send me a PM. If you are sure you are going to attend, please post a reply below. If you are not sure now, but find yourself with nothing to do, stop by, we'd love to see you there. |

(I can't VP since I am getting my key later, but I wouldn't miss sending Sad Lisa off for hers. Maybe the VP gods will smile on her and let her get her key on the first run. She certainly has earned it!)

Pre-Congratulations Congratulations!
I'll try to be there (if I don't have to pick up the kids from gymnastics!)...or if there are going to be *jellybeans* given out as party favors I might just send my own little uber in training (3 track, 25, Super Dad) instead. I've had lots of fun on runs with Sad Lisa - even kept her from being Sad a few times!
Either way, it is quite an accomplishment from a persistency standpoint...not sure I could do the uber thing with only two gag tracks. Congratulations! Craig (aka Candy Sparkleface)

I have helped Sad Lisa get merits a few times.
I did do more than a few VP runs with her. Not sure if I ever contributed to her sadness, but I probably did back when she was a 16 laffer and had zero chance against the Level 12s. I know she had problems getting help from random toons in the factories so I was always willing to run in with her, if I saw here there. I would even tell her to wait so I could lure on the silos, so then she could join without a risk of a missed lure. I admire her chutzpah of trying her challenge without SFs to drag her along.

Congratulations!!
Way to go, Sad Lisa!!! I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to the pre-party, but I'll certainly try--she's the inspiration behind my super uber-in-training, A. Mew Sing (who seems to have been put on the back burner until Fluffy gets her triple 50s...). Congratulations, again, and good luck--it's always a pleasure to see you in that pit!!

I would love to come & give Sad Lisa a big send off. Unfortunately, I cannot be much help in either participating in the run itself. Still trying to get my 5500 merits. Nor can I throw out any jellybeans, haven't gotten any jellybeans unites since last beanfest. ( I had been sick this past weekend, so everything has been kinda stalled on my side.) However, I can wish her the Best of Luck & I know she will not have a shortage of great toons who will help her get that Nice Shiny Key!

Congrats Sad Lisa, great accomplishment. Not many people know quite how hard it is at your laff. You'll be 21 laff, right? If so, I bet you are looking forward to being able to survive a hit from a lvl 12 Mr. Hollywood :-)
