Please sign me up, too.

Princess Cuddles Sparkletoes, Big Wig 50.

I think I've been in 2 or 3 of the 9 cog battles. I don't really pay attention, just get to buisness and hope for success.

Variations on a theme

I want to comment on Crimson's ideas for having fun with the CJ. All of these variations on dealing with the bad boy sound fun and interesting (I've always wanted to try the no juror thing myself or the half cannon shooters half stunners scenerio).

But its my feeling that the current event is a training (or more practice for some) to give people a kind of typical scenerio for large suit loads. With any large suit load, even a max party with all friends, you would really have to spend alot of time coordinating some of the games variations Crimson is suggesting. It's like the game of throwing helmits on the CFO and stomping for awhile. It's not really typical to leave a helmit on him for 3 minutes.

Crimson's suggestions are not really typical games or scenerios most face when dealing with the CJ.. Even though the no juror scenerio would be fun, lets face it, if you load with large suits that are not all sfs it would be strange not to seat some jurors. LOL. Ok maybe Pix could have passed out some carrot juice before but someone would be able to aim a cannon in the group and they would.

Typically, if a bunch of large suits load, everyone is going to shoot for jurors willy nilly (no organization by birthdate or holding back) and then hopefully those with higher evidence take the scale.

Anyway, I think this run is great offering the following elements that more of less create typical scenerios people may face alone on random or with some friends with big suits:
1. All large suits
2. Place and Time
3. Materials to review if you desire
4. Buddy to watch laff if things get hairy
5. People loaded with Unites (thanks QVH!)

See you on Jan 12 and Crimson, if you organize a no juror BW party give me a pm.

Just a quick note, and this will also be in the pm sent to everyone with the district... there won't be any stinky elevators for this particular run. The CJ already takes a lot of time and 9/10 cogs will increase the difficulty and possibly the amount of time. Even taking 10 extra minutes on that last cog could cause an already lengthy training run to be too long. Plus, the stress of the increased difficulty could possibly be too much if we added stinky gag time. To be fair to your fellow teammates, including those that have never seen the 9/10 cogs, let's have a straight cog round, making sure to double toon at the end so nobody goes in low on laff.

I'm very excited because we now have a full 4 elevators! I would be ecstatic to have 5, but just as thrilled to have more toons sign up in the event of needing backup players! Always seems to happen... real life, missed a few notes, forgot, etc. The list will continue to grow for one more day! Woo hoo!

In looking over the list of victims ~ I mean toons ~ that have chosen to take part in this event, I have noted that there is an extremely high amount of BW50s. I had previously decided that at least one elevator would be comprised of only BW50s to insure that 10th cog. If you do not want to be considered for a (guaranteed) 10 cog elevator, please let me know by posting or pm so I can make sure to put you on an elevator with lower BW suits.

If it is possible to squeeze two 10 cog elevators and still insure experience on every load, I will do so.

This is not to change anything that is scheduled, I just wanted to post an opinion that I don't agree that the 9/10 cog cj's are longer than an average run. In fact, of all of the 9/10 cog cj's I've done, only 2 have lasted 15 min or more. My implication in that statement is that the bonus weight of the scalers plays a big role in finishing off the cj. IMO, if/when someone solos the cj, he/she will HAVE to have bonus weight, otherwise it is impossible. Even the documented '2 toon' cj required (at least) 4 big toons initially, so they could get the evidence bonus. Even in the recent 10 cogger where we stunners didn't get an 'All cogs stunned' bonus (sorry zig), we were still able to finish off the cj in about the time of an average cj run. (By far the most difficult 9/10 cog cj I've been in so far... again, sorry zig )

Perhaps not for this run, but next time I wouldn't get away from the fun of having a 'stinky' team... I doubt there would be much of a time difference, and I think the laughs generated can ease the stress of the 10 cog cj for some... (no getting around the fact that it can get hectic at times)

If there's room, I'd like to attend. I've been in several 9 cog battles and one 10 cog battle.

Lady Trixie Twinkletoes, BW50

Thanks!

I'm up for an all BW50. But if we decide to go "stinky", I can't in good conscience take the bear (no toonup). So if I get in a stinky group somehow, please change me to Loopy Crunchenzapper (also BW50). The bear is just too careful and would probably pass out from the stress.

NOBODY will be in a stinky run that doesn't want to.

The last CFO Training Run I was in, I was asked to be the load leader of the stinky team. We were only to have 7 toons, but we grabbed a backup and loaded with 8 RBs. In fact, all but one was an RB50. The elevator was not short of battle experience in any way. We played our stinky gags as well as some big gags and had a lot of fun. Next thing we knew, we heard a sad sound! Everything stopped for a moment while we tried to figure out what to do. It was on the other side so we didn't even know what happened. My side finished first so we quickly ran over. The toon that had gone sad had one sf in that cfo, so I whispered to her, "Which way?" She whispered back *shrugs*. I asked a few more times, "Which way?" never did she say, "Let's go back to the playground." so we stayed. I found out later that the toon that went sad was lagging. He saw someone put up bike horn so he put up fog. He never saw the person change to lure, he was already down in laff and every cog targeted him as the only sounder. It put a real damper on that training run, and I felt completely responsible as load leader.

Do you want Stinky?

So here's the deal. If at least 8 people post or pm prior to team selections telling me they WANT to be in the stinky group, and if the 8 people that ask still allow for enough experience in every elevator, then I will entertain this idea. But here's the catch: if anyone goes sad in the cog battle, everyone must alt out of the battle during the break (the time when the CJ is going over to his stand), reassemble in the playground, and start all over again.

If this sounds appealing to you to be able to play your level 1 gags, post or pm prior to 10pm Central Time tonight (Thursday). At 10pm Central, signups will be closed and teams will be formed. Unlike CFO and VP training runs, I have to carefully select teams based not only on experience but also suit level of the attending toon. I also try to put friends in together because of the need for Laff Comfort Partners. Because of all of this, it takes me a little bit longer to form the teams.

Everybody to this point is added.

JMO, I tend to be a little more business oriented/serious in the CJ to dispatch of the cogs. A little fun on the last cog sounds like fun though. Maybe we can all shoot our first juror straight up into the air? LOL I do have to agree with PRW, I have been in at least one other higher difficulty CJ with PRW where in fact I think it took less time than your average CCG CJ run.
