Question CCG Participation Questions

This past weekend my husband and I (he plays Mister Beppo Frinklegoober, and I play Granny Ziggy Beaniebrains) discovered the CCG and the scheduled runs you all have. What a pleasant surprise.

First and foremost, I want to thank CCG folks who have coordinated this effort. Being able to load on that elevator without the worry of elevator hopping has increased our desire to once again play TT with a fervor like we used to have when we first started playing. And now I feel encouraged to be able to take my children (who also play TT of course) on a VP run now that we have actually found reliable people who won't drop them simply because they are 'little toons'.

With that in mind, I personally would like to give something back to CCG, but have a few questions for you folks.

First. I see the way you guys report CCG runs, but am curious, now that I have my toon listed as a 'member' on CCG, would I be allowed to add in reports? I should mention Granny is only a lvl 3 ND now. Do you have to be a certain level to 'report' runs?

Second. I want to ensure we (my family) are following proper ettiquette, both before and after a run. I have noticed that after runs (VP wise) that everyone pretty much disappears to different districts. Are their social gatherings elsewhere? or are merit runs done almost immediately afterwards on a different server? After doing a VP victory, I sure would love to help those toons who have done a successful VP run also get their merits afterwards, but have not seen anything about it here.

Quote:
Pictures and battle run-downs can be posted in the day specific thread. We rely on our members to report all CCG runs. A CCG run is one at our designated location, at or near our designated run time, with at least one CCG member in it.
And Finally. How the devil do you all remember all the info that goes into doing reports? Are you writing it down? are you taking screenshots? And are you interested in having another toon help do reports (such as myself)?

Welcome to you and yours!

Many people use screenshots to get all the names and suit details.

I write down by hand and omit the ranks, which is okay too. It's iffy. Someone might disconnect or go sad before you have them written down.

When you enter in the victories form on the CCG website, you copy the results to paste into a report.

I'm sure someone with a more tried and true technique will follow up

Check out the thread Factory Workers Union. They are working on run times for merits.

On the days when a cfo follows the vp most people disappear to the cfo directly after, that's why there isn't a social gathering.
As for running merits, there isn't anything organized to do that.
You can be any suit size to post a run, just keep it positive.

Welcome!

Anyone who attends our runs is more than welcome to report the run, please do feel free to begin at any time! The database on the website asks for all of the required information. Use it as a guide. Sometimes you may not be able to capture everyones suit or laffpoints, these are not critical, and shouldn't hold you back from reporting. Others can add them later, for example, they know someone had a promotion that was missed. We just love to hear about our runs, promotions etc.

Nutty River (invasion district) is where you will find most toons waiting for an elevator to get merits, bucks, JNS...Once you become familiar with some of the faces in the CCG, give them a wave, and hop on board. There are no scheduled times to obtain merits, bucks, JNS.

See you at the runs!

Thumbs up Sweet!

Thanks for the Quick responses.

Personally, I have no problem at the moment getting merits. Even had a golden moment so to speak when I helped two smaller toons get sellbot parts on one merit run I did last night.

However I was thinking of my kids honestly, and perhaps other smaller toons who are just starting out. Merit runs would be a tad more difficult for them, I think.

The Factory Workers Union sounds prime for just this purpose. Perhaps I can also help coordinate merit runs since I am still working on cashbot parts myself.

Thanks again! You guys here at CCG are awesome.

To Report Runs:

First you need to be a registered member on the CCG Member Database. To enter victories, just click on Victories then click on Report a Boss Run.

To get the suits, you can do this in 3 ways. Many people take a screenshot of both elevator views (front while loading and back while the doors are closed). Then you just need to view your screenshot to see the suits. The way I usually get suit levels is by writing down brief info and suits... for instance, on this victory report:
Quote:
Little Dizzy Twinklemuffin Reports that on:

Aug. 22, 2006 0500 CST
8/8 Danced for Daffy Don

+*Little Dizzy Twinklemuffin 112 HW40
+Prof. Wally Poppencorn 115 HW30
+*Serendipity Dawg 34 HW
+*Not T. Monkey 109 HW30
*Captain Cuckoo Crinklebrains 106 TF
Bunny Incognito 47 MS
Joan of Arf 76 CC
Little Kippy Fuzzymonkey 94 CC

+ Together in Cog Round
* Together in Skele Round
I probably would have written down this info as we were loading:
Quote:
LD 40
Prof. 30
Ser 8
Not 30
Cap TF
Bun MS
Joan CC
Little CC
Then I would fill in the rest of the names and laffs as we were battling or during the break.

The last way to get suit levels is to make sure you already have names and laff written down. Then take a look at the merits needed while everyone is dancing. You can find a list of merits needed here. Then as you view the merits, let's say someone's merits show 60/80 merits, you know that person was a Name Dropper 3. If they need 800/160, you know that person was a Glad Hander 8 and they just promoted to Mover Shaker 5. Any time the first number is higher than the 2nd number, it is a promotion.

Thing is, many people report runs and don't list the suit levels. That's ok too. It's best to have as much information as you can, but not imperative to have it all.

Report away!

For me, I take front & back screenies of the elevator. Once were lined up, I write down names & laffs of the toons I'm sided with. I also write down any names I can see from the other side (That's why I'm not chatting LOL). At the break, I fill in the rest of the names/laffs. Jot down merits needed during the dance in case I can't see the screenie. Then wait to see if someone else will post so I don't have to .

Mostly, the party is before the battle. Afterwards, toons may go to Nutty River to work merits, switch toons to help on a revenge run, go to the next boss battle, or go about whatever other business they may have.

Welcome...mighty big WELCOME! I personally am thrilled when I see new people willing to report runs. It's sad to see 2 or 3 reports when I'm aware that we had 5 or 6 elevators for a run. I love reading what happened on each run.

If it didn't go so great, it is ok to report the facts, because we all learn from mistakes. I prefer to learn from your mistakes rather than making them myself, thankyou kindly.

Social gathering is pre-run more than post-run time. We like to arrive 10 min. early to socialize before we go in. We often don't have much time for more than, "Did you win?" questions around the playground gag shop after a run because it takes a lil' time to restock gags, (got beans?) refill laff, run to the next playground for the next boss battle that is coming right away.

This is exactly what I do for my reports. In the VP during the skele round, I simply write an "s" next to the toons on my side.

The idea of using merit values to determine suit is cool. I take screen shots of front/back of elevator, but that isn't always good because some toons are talking and/or blocking a tag.

After I finish cog round, I click on all the toon tags and take screenies for laff. I, of course, delete all pictures within a day or so as they really accumulate. Taking a screenie of your side of battle during gag selection helps u get who was playing when/where in cogs/skels.

There are lots of ways, so you'll find what suits you best pretty quickly.

Cool Tankie Tankie!

Many thank yous for the suggestions! I tend to use a tiny program for screen shot captures, and tonight I am going to attempt to see how it interacts with TT.

And now I understand why all those toons are so quiet on the elevator! *blush* Live and learn I always say!

I feel really silly now. I had no idea there was a form. I've been typing the whole thing in manually. Hee hee.

Victory Reports

Hi I'm brand new at this reporting thing too - as well as new to ccg! (you guys are great!) Is there a way to move victory report from ccg site to the forums (that days thread)? Or do you have to just re-type it all?
