Back up district, this has been asked before

When do we actually switch? At the last vp on Sunday night there was so much shuffling going on we had to be full of non-ccg'ers. I saw at least two others besides myself say, "Let's go to Toontown Central" but didn't actually see anyone go and I didn't want to go alone.
The shuffle tonight was outrageous! I'm not even going to report our run because I'm sure at least half was non-ccg based on the amount of sf chat that was going on as well as the complete disregard for LLKR even with a 53 in our line up with skellies. If I wanted that kind of hassle I would vp with randoms.

Should we wait for an ambassador to say it so people will listen? Any suggestions? That was such a waste of time and energy not to mention the aggravation.

I totally agree that it was outrageous because I watched the shuffling going on and thought it was stupid. We should switch to a backup district because I'm so close to making Hollywood and I want to actually make it.

I took my chances during the mass chaos tonight with a friend.
At the count of 0 2 ppl jumped and left 6 of us.
During the cog round the other side went sad one after another.
The 3 of us remaining chose to leave after we defeated our cogs.
It was pretty bad tonight, but I heard alot of ppl went to the back up district.

Sadly, I saw 2 new sf's of mine causing alot of the shuffle.

When asked why they shuffled, their responses will unfortunately stick in my head for some time now.
I understand they are kids, but that type of behaviour I don't see myself tolerating, because not even my own daughter would get away with what they said.

Changing Districts

I was playing Shirley U Jest Last night. I saw all the shuffling in Crazy Grove and thought better of staying. When someone said "Lets go to toontown central," I did switch districts and so did 7 other people. We had enough people to load. There was horrible lag I think only 5 of us made it through the pie fight.

I think only 2 people went sad? I know Sir Glue Stick went first int he pie fight, then my husband, Fat Hucklephooey got sad. He couldn't get the jump off because lag was terrible for some reason. Aside from that you couldn't have asked for a better group of people during the cog fighting. You guys were great!

oh yeah, I was the one saying "Let's go to toontown central" hehehe

P.S. Woofdog, I saw your friend get left on the elevator alone! And I hope to be there when you make hollywood finally!

Last night was one of the worst I've seen in awhile, but unfortunately some of the people I saw shuffling were members. They were all new members, from what I could see, and 2 of them got on my elevator that finally closed with 8 of us (how did that happen?)! They continued their poor play and SF chat throughout the vp... I decided last night I would not report the run because there is no possible way I can report it and be unbiased. We had everything from elephant on 12s (with people on our side that didn't even have sound) to glitching in skel round to blocking the door of the vp in pie.

Any member can call for the backup district by saying, "Let's go to toontown central." It's not necessary to wait for an ambassador to say it.

As the members hear/see the phrase, it's helpful to repeat it so the toons standing can see the agreement of the members. That encourages every member to jump on the bandwagon and head straight over to the backup district. It's not necessary, but it helps.

We can all stand for what we believe in...no shuffling...and take positive action, switching or packing on to fill the elevators and leave the "randoms" who don't know the rules behind.

Serious shuffling is one of the reasons to use the backup district. We used to have problems with the run district being the "busy" one. We had to switch when our run district was crowded with randoms. This is rare with the new district color system rather than the numbers, but it still is valid to switch anytime the pit is collecting a large amount of randoms.

Please read the run schedule...and every single one of the guidelines...and you'll find it. http://www.toontowncentral.com/forum...26&postcount=1

We want all who attend our runs to see the guidelines...not just show up clueless and embarrass themselves, like I did when I first started. When I first saw the guidelines and realized the trouble I'd caused everyone, I wanted to crawl in a hole and cover myself up. So the districts and backups are hidden....hoping that only members and people who have read the guidelines can find us.

It was so much easier "back then" to call for the backup district. If the district was one of the 3 most populated districts, we quickly switched long before any members even made it inside to witness shuffle. I hate the new color coding and wish we could regain our population numbers. Unfortunately, with all the new faces in CCG, it's difficult at this time to determine who is a member and who is a random.

I like the idea of not posting the backup district on the forum threads (I've sometimes done this). As you stated, it causes people to read the guidelines to find it.
