5500 merits. Ugh.

I finally hit the first 5500 merits mark. I'm so discouraged. I was wondering if I could start a little merit run? I'm willing to sf too, so anyone needing 5500 merits and willing to spend a day in the factory, please leave a post here.

5500 merits really doesnt take as long as it used to, with invasions and the doubling of merits in a fac with the LBHQ update. It takes about two hours to do a 5500 in a fac now, with everybody sounding and with yourself in Nutty River for a constant stream of invasions. It used to take a whole day.(Boy, am i glad those days are over).

True, but half of the runs you do have dingdongs in them, so you can't sound your way through, kill all the cogs... ect... Its nice to have a crew of MOSTLY sane people, too sane and it's not fun anymore, lol.

I've had very good luck recently with pick up groups in the Nutty River factory. I think the reason is that Nutty River is attracting advanced players who need lots of merits.

On the other hand, I also picked up a griefer who tried to steal the factory from the rest of us the other night. So it goes.

A whole day? At 188 merits a factory, I can't imagine doing that in a day. At least more than once. 30 full factories, or more short runs. My usual goal was around 1100 in a day, finish up in a week.

One of the things that drove me away from ToonTown for a while was the drudgery of the endless factories. The game stopped being fun for me, and I couldn't think of a reason to play a game that wasn't fun.

hold up really 5500 doesnt tak all day only taks 3 hrs if u kno wut ur doing just mak sure ur with at least 1 person that has fog also along with ur self
and there not 188 merits
go 2 busy districts just w8 a sec if u cant get in at first theres an invasion
palooza w8 4 the invasions if there arent any in progress
with an invasion u get 776 merits

Do you have one of those ISPs that charges you for each character that you type?

So far all I get per run is about 400 which means it takes around 13 runs to get to 5500. But ur saying that if you go in when a cog invasion is happening you get around 700?? I can't beleive i haven't realized that!

Actually, before Cash came out, the Factory gave around 550 or more.
Only AFTER Cash came out, did they lower the merits to what you put.

Yeah, but I'm still a newbie, I didn't play before cash came out. And I think I screwed up, it believe it was 194 merits for a full run before law HQ came out.

well congrats on hitting the 5500 merits spot, thats pretty tough, gl wtih getting all your merits, a good district to visit is nutty rivers, i bet u already know that, but just in case, well gl again!

Yes, it was... and boy back then when they lowered it.. you shoulda seen all us angry ppl.
Just the thought of spending days upon days upon days to get 5500 merits was unreal.

I suggest that anyone on 5500 get it done while the gettin' is GOOD! It ain't gonna get any better than it is now.
