SOS shopping run: Feedback

Here is the thread to put your feedback for the shopping run so that next week's run can be better. One suggestion that I've already had was that we take away the any lure rule and just go with LOM for lure and that we add Melody Wavers to the list of searched for cards. Any other suggestions?

OK, I'll post in here.

I personally don't need a 3 star lure card on fewlish bunny.
I really prefer no 3 star cards except for Melody Wavers because she restocks sound and we all know how much alot of us like having a restock sound, even in unites.

I have no clue what star Nancy Gas is... and again... the only lure card I'm interested in is LOM.
I have no clue who Daffy Don is either, but if it's a 4 star toon-up... I still don't know if I'd keep it... I might.
All the other cards listed are perfect.

I had an absolute blast today with all of you. It was truly alot of fun, even tho we had 5 duds before getting Stinky Ned and then we get Moe Zart.

I'll continue to do this whenever this event is being held as long as I can get my weekend real life stuff done.

I will also continue to use fewlish bunny for this because I'd like to pile up some cards on her.

Thank you so much King Leroy!!! It was alot of fun doing this.

With all that effort, staying for Stinky Ned was a letdown. I would have opted to go on.

The TP out method is so smooth. It solves so many issues. Why X out and relog into the site? Probably takes a negligible difference in time.

If the choices were better fine tuned and the TP method maintained, I would try this again.

Thanks for setting it up. Overall it was a lot of fun, ESPECIALLY during the moot cog rounds. How come we dont get small cogs coming out when we have ubers? Sheesh!

Ditto what they said. Watching us all throw our neds on baby cogs for Moe made the other 3 VPs seem rather pointless. I did it too, mind you, because I really don't want 3 spots taken up with lure, especially lure that doesn't last long. Now my monkey friend, Fleabag McZilla is lureless and she was in heaven tonight. hehe...

I agree with the TP out being the better way, even if it does take a little longer. I crashed to desktop on the run before last, reloaded then I was laggy for the last VP. And that was just one reloading of the game, imagine if we did that with all 7 runs?

So you guys agree that the TP out method is better than the alt-out method? If everyone agrees with me, I see no need to test the f4 method. This was a fun run, and it will motivate me to get my sellbot key sooner so that I can go and stay for the ones agreed on. On another note, I have re-composed the list of SOS toons that we stay for. Please tell me what you think.

LOM
Professor Pete
Barnacle Bessie
Franz Neckvein
Clerk Clara
Flippy
Daffy Don
Moe Zart
Melody Wavers
Does anyone want to stay for a restock sound? I know that these come in handy in the CJ, and they are about as rare a reward from the CFO as an invasion from the CJ. Anybody share my beliefs?

I like the whole idea of tp'g out... since alt f4g takes alot longer. I also like the idea of looking for Melody Wavers, and even tho it's a 3star restock... it's still sound, and if other ppl have a preference of cards that they like... they should let us all know so we can add them in.
I like having some Cog Miss and Toons Hit cards because they do come in handy when we have ubers in the VP, but fewlish has 4 Cogs Miss cards so she doesn't need any.

I had a blast, and I'm glad I got those lures. Any lure has come in handy sooo many times.

The revised list is fine, I look forward to the next run!

Yes TP out was brilliant. Alt-F4 kills my Windows session since the game hogs memory and doesnt give it back.

Restock sound only if it is a full restock beginning with Fog. Restocks of essential gags are vital. But that's me.

Just the ones on the list would be fine.

my list was originally composed mostly as a list for soloing, except for Clerk Clara. I have no objection to changes if people want to shop for other useful cards. I had listed the other two lures because they are good for solo, and the last time I used a Nancy Gas it held for four rounds, the same as LOM.
I didn't have an open slot for Stinky Ned on either toon, so I was a little dissapointed also.

If anyone is still interested in the alt F4 method i would like to know. I have tried both and prefer that method. I would estimate it takes about half the time. It takes a little longer than restocking gags which is just a portion of the time it takes when we stay. Of course slower PC's would have a problem with this, and I don't want to exclude anyone. If anyone else wants to try that way we could go with a group in different district so there's no confusion.

I will just quote what I posted under previous "sos shoping" theread (instead of inserting the link) since it's on-topic here:

Lure is quite a tricky gag, it has a strong tendency to miss at moments when you need it the most. Like for example, when everyone low on laff points, especially facing high lvl cogs, when there are several low laffers on ur side, during solos etc - any star lure card is a 99% guarantee of a hit (I saw it miss though when for example used together with red magnet)
In those critical situations - lure card is THE ONLY "remedy". Sound gag/card can be replaced by any other attacking gag - lure can't, lure doesn't have a substitute...
So not only for soloing but in any extream situations when lure gag misses (once, twice, + ... times) - lure SOS card, even a 3 star one, like Nancy Gas and Stinky Ned - are a BLESS!, and saves the whole team from dying. I uderstand the importance of restock sound card as well, so due to above mentioned I propose:

Add a restock sound card - Melody Wavers (like it was decided) + to keep 3 star lure cards in the list like it was initially

Another reason for it is that you have a chance to gain ANY restock unite phraze at CFO battle, but there is no "lure cogs" unite phraze - that is also why I esteem lure cards so high. 3 star lure card does substitute you LOM like doc quackenheimer mentioned, and u have 3 times more chances to get it if u keep Nancy and Ned on the list- which means u have 3 chanc'es more to get at least ONE lure card during SOS shoping

Like many others I really great fun yesterday and appreciated our TP sos shop method, Alt F4 doesn't crash any of my 2 lappys (they are very fine mashines ) Just that I find ALtF4 method irritating: log out/download page/login, log out/download page/login, log out/download page/login, ... ooof!
whiles this TP method allows you to still play and have fun, even when sos was not satisfying.

Though of course if there will b more volonteers for Alt F4 methond, we can again create 2 seperate groups for that

Well, that was fun. I did like the TP out method, although eventually I think TT got mad at me for running. The last few times when I TP'd out after the cogs, tt shut down on me anyway LOL. But at least I came back full health with only a few gags short.

I was also having some difficulties getting in the doors last night. I got to the first run just 2 minutes late, but the doors wouldn't open. I tried going home and back, walking out to the street and back, etc. I got pulled in by cogs 4 times trying to get through the doors! By the time I got in, it was almost 10 minutes later and you guys were all coming back for the 2nd try LOL.

As for the cards, I wouldn't have minded staying for the Toons Hit/Cogs Miss cards. I like having a supply of those for battles with ubers. So overall, I'm not sure if I'll do another shopping run marathon. It was fun, but I think I like going just to help out more and it's going to be quite awhile before I'm up to attempting solo anyway.

Any feedback on the time of the run? I chose last week's time as something that would owrk for me, but I would like feedback on possibly having the run at another time.
