Hacker alert!!

I found out that there is a hacker who's hacking mutiple ppl. Earlier I made a thread named "Super mean toon!!" and a few days after I made that thread, I saw a bigger toon using the EXACT same attitude, but the problem is, I've seen that toon before, actually I've done tons of bullions with him, he was usually much nicer then that, so I know that there is someone hacking!! This might be the same person who hacked Tiger's friend (I just saw that thread and came to this conclusion) so be on the lookout!

I'm getting scared now. I don't want someone hacking me or my friends... ;_;

Disney needs to find out who this person is and ban him/her or something. But I don't know if they can find who's doing it. O_O

Don't be scared, there are many ways to combat them, you've seen my thread about that right? You can follow the advice on that, and tell your sf's about it so they're aware and they'll understand if you act a little "crazy" because of the hacker. Oh and one more thing, there are what, millions of ppl who play TT? I doubt they're going to just happen to hack you...

How can you be sure it isnt just someone else playing the toon?

I found spyware on my computer once... I managed to delete before the hacker could find anything. It's so sad everyone's getting hacked so often.

Well I doubt those players have a friend who'd see their toon online and go on it (if they used that behavior, unlikely they had permission) then used every single mean trick in the book... and that 2nd toon that I believe was hacked is usually nice and when I saw him he was picking on this one toon and I whispered confused to him, I know that toon knows about me, and they tped and used every mean trick in the book... so I'm sure it was a hacker

Spyware is only used by marketers. They only give you pop-ups, display advertisements and take your email address and sell it. [don't ask why, long story]

NOW A KEYLOGGER! A keylogger is something you get, generally by downloading a program, you can download a program and a keylogger could be installing on your PC.

Keyloggers and Spyware are under 5KB so they are barely undetectable and they don't use much of your CPU or RAM so you wont know the difference. A Keylogger is a program that you don't know is there, same as Spyware and viruses. It sends every key you press to a server, this can be used to steal credit card info and username and passwords. Most Anti Spyware programs don't detect it. Spybot Search & Destroy will pick up a few Keyloggers but not all. Some anti virus programs may pick up keyloggers as well, but most don't because it isn't really Spyware or a virus.

Im still being hacked. He probobly Xed my two best sfs Tiger and Dottie Dizzenpop. He is deleting my furniture. He does it because he wants a higt laff 99+. If he doesnt get a 99+ he will keep hacking. He is a 53 laffer. He has friends to help him. Thats the fun of ToonTown, building your own toon. He has gone to far! Its time i would like to say this Toons of the world Getting Hackers. And here is a tip if you get hacked, if you have more than 2 toons with a doodle with one of those toons go to secrets get a code write it down go to your strongest toon or other toon wich ever one you use type the code in if it works with your strongest toon you are now connected with one of your weaker toon with your stronger toon. So if a hacker comes and takes your toon you can still follow him.

Choosing a password - When you choose a password, don't go for something really obvious like password, 12345, letmein, toontown or pokemon. Using a combination of letters and numbers makes it a lot harder for people to guess. You can change your password at any time by clicking on 'Member Services' in the blue side bar. When you choose a new password be sure to write it down somewhere safe in case you forget it.

Keep your password secret - Never tell anybody your password, no matter who they say they are.

Don't share accounts - No matter how trust worthy a person may seem when you chat to them online, never give them your password. There is no need to share an account with anybody, if you do it is at your own risk and you must understand that they can easily change the password and steal your account.

If your toon was deleted then email Disney saying that your toon got deleted and they will restore it within 2 Bussiness Days.

someone either found your ridiculously easy password
or you gave it to someone.

yes his toon name is King Knuckles i will now report him.....wait!no!he will just keep hacking duke still so ill give him 99+ then i delete him!im only his sf to check on him i will delete him when he stops hacking my sfs wait....how he become my sf in the 1st place oh wait i get it when he come online hed never wish hed mess with my sfs!

Actually, they say up to 30 days. Just FYI.

My OP on this thread is a warning for the hacker... if they're hacking you then how do you know all that info about them? Didn't you use my tips on the "Ways to Combat Hackers" thread? I know you saw it, you replied to it...

Thank you for your recent report. We are sorry you have been troubled by
player behavior in Toontown. We will do our best to investigate this
incident and record it for possible further action.

In the meantime, you should make sure the offensive Toon is not on your
Friends List. To remove them:
-Open your Friends List by clicking on the icon in the upper right hand
corner in the game.
-You can select Toon names on your "Online Friends" list or your "All
Friends" list. You can switch between these two lists by clicking on the
small blue arrows at the bottom of the panel.
-Once you have found the name of the Toon you would like to delete from
your Friends List, simply click on his or her name.
-From the menu that pops up, select "Friends."
-You will then see a small blue button labeled "Stop being friends."
Click this button and then click "Yes" on the confirmation screen.

Toons that are not on your Friends List can be avoided by switching
Districts. To switch Districts:
- Go to the "District" page in your Shticker Book
- Click on another District name

Toons not on your Friends List will not know which District you went to,
so you will be difficult, if not impossible, to follow.

We've taken many measures to eliminate opportunities for grief play in
Disney's Toontown Online. Thank you for your help in this effort.
