If your custom name is rejected, what exactly happens then?

Do you have the option of chosing another or are you just stuck forever with "Blue Duck" for example?

You can keep trying. Some toons have reported having to submit their name several times to get it approved. I also tend to thing they limited the custom names. I tried to get the name Toonces for one of my toons and it was repeatedly rejected. Then I heard there was another toon with that name. So the next time I submitted it I changed the name to Toonces Twinklezap and it was aprroved.

Asking for the name 2x worked for me... but remember if there is something in your name that may be taken as unnacceptable will not be approved... even if your name does not mean that.

I suggest five* things:

1. Check out on the TT site about what is NOT allowed - there is a list. This list also exists if you search this site for all the other threads on "name rejected"
2. Realise that rules can be bent with inventive spelling - for example, one toon tried Ghandi and it was approved (Gandhi would be rejected)
3. NOTHING there is NO third thing*
4. Resubmit. Sir Arthur Streeb-Greebling took 3 tries. Eric the Half Bee took six.

You may re-submit but this may take a while, a toon waited i think 2 months until the toon name they wanted was finally approved. Make sure the name you submit is the name you want, you don't want to be stuck with a name you wont like in 2 weeks!

Here's a hint: I have a red mouse, and I wanted the name Cherry Cheezecake. I can only assume because of the word Cherry, that it was denied. I tried to reason with them, but they just told me to resubmit. I did, but this time, I used Cherrie Cheezecake. My advice is to try spelling the "offensive" word in a different way. They may pass through the filters. I now have a red mouse named Cherrie Cheezecake!!!
