I was doing tasks in mml and training for tu, since my first chosen gag was sound, then lure. When ppl got hurt and said they needed a tu, my reply was "Sorry I can't." However, I felt bad because I couldn't return the favor when they were kind enuff to toon me.
I never expected anyone to toon me, since I couldn't toon them.

Anyway, during my brrrgh tasks, I had a friend who didn't have toon up and I knew this, but it didn't bother me.
Her and I go into a 4story bldg with 2 other toons. First couple floors, I don't get hit, they do, but I'm able to toon them, they all saying "thanks."
Last floor, a hard bldg... gags were missing, we were getting hit, I kept tooning and when I said "I need a toon up." All 3 of them said "Sorry, I can't."
This made me mad a) at myself for not checking if anyone else could help toon b) they survived due to my tooning them.

This taught me to be bitter towards toons who do not choose toon up. If I go into battle with someone, and we get hit by cogs, and I'm the only one who can toon... what guarantee's me, I'm gonna survive and complete my task, if they can't toon me?

I can understand, toon up not being your first chosen gag, your 2nd choice and even your 3rd... but if you choose on your 4th gag to not take toon up, this is where I have a problem.

It's all cool, you want to get the gags to fight the cogs, but where's the gag to help your fellow toon stay alive in battle?

PLEASE remember and don't diss me for how I am... but that bldg with those 3 toons that chose not to have tu... really made me against those without tu.

As everyone has a right to what gags they want, so do those that have a right on how they feel for a toon's choice in gags.

I have no problem if you don't have sound. I can work around that. I have no problem if you don't have lure, I can work around that too. But come on... no toon up? Toontown is all about helping your fellow toon defeat cogs AND survive.

I know I'm gonna get dissed in here because of how I feel, but remember... this is my right as it is your right to be "toon-up less."

Don't take my post as being hateful towards those who didn't choose toon up. It's not meant to be taken that way.

Toon-up is just another gag, I wish people weren't so mean about it. Some people have stories behind why they don't have it/want it. The toon without toon-up can be just as strong as a toon with toon-up. It isn't all about the gags, I just see how the person treats me, I don't care about the gags, if they are nice and funny I'll be their friend. I choose trap instead of lure, sometimes I wish I had lure, while other times I love trap. Who cares what the gags are?

I know how you feel. Sometimes people get mad at me for not having sound. I worked hard to get to 106 laffpoints, and now they say "OMG. You dont have sound. You loser."

People sometimes pick silly reasons to be mean or get angry about. Gags missing? No sound? Not choosing toon up?

No toon up? So what if you decided not to choose toon up. They give you that choice and you can make your toon however you want. Just be wise and take another person along who DOES have toon up. LOL. Easy to fix. Be smart, look at the gags of the person you're going with. If you go into a building with just one person who doesn't have toon up, it's your own fault for not checking. I've gone in w/ someone who doesn't have toon up. I don't blame him for not having it...it was my fault because I was stupid enough not to check first. If I had known, I would've waited for a 3rd person to come along who did.

Not choosing sound? Who cares. So you have to put a little more effort into the game. Nobody cared about not having sound until SBHQ came out. LOL. Now it's all-important. It's not. Just use skill and teamwork with what you have.

And gags miss all the time and can hit whether you're maxxed or level 1 gags. Sure, level 1 miss MORE, but not always. I had maxxed lure and one time, my lure missed 4 times in a row! Imagine that! It wasn't because of a lack of teamwork, it was just dumb luck.

A while back when I had started to get bored of Toontown, I started trying to find toons without toonup and take them along with me to help them get more experience. I don't have TT anymore, though, so, just a suggestion for anyone who's bored of TT and has high laff points. Taking them through will not only get them experience, but is actually pretty fun, too.

I dont think tu is just another gag its the one gag that you can use to help anyone. I see a toon battling on the street close to being sad I will jump in and toon them just to help them out.

I'm not mean to toonless players but sometimes because I dont want to do a building alone with them they seem to think I am. I just feel that its only fair that If I can toon them up they should be able to return the favor. You dont know the player alot of times, how do you know they wont do something stupid. With the best intentions I have had a hard time getting a toon out alive in a 3 story I could have easily done alone. Coming out with little left of my 106 pts. And one or two times going sad.

If I find myself with a toon without tu I will toon as needed once I'm in a building I try my best to get everyone out alive even If I die in the process.
I know a few who will not tu toonless players. I'm just wondering how that makes you feel knowing you went sad because a player who could didn't toon you up. Does this make you mad?

I don't see it that way, as the ONE gag you can use to help anyone. It makes little difference to me, IMO, whether a toon comes and helps me by killing off a cog, which in turn can do no damage to me or if they just toon me up. Some people don't use toon up sparingly anyway. If you're down, say, only three laff points, some toons will toon you up. I tell my sf's NOT to toon me up unless I get lower than half my laff points. Otherwise, I think it's wasteful. I get a little nervous if I'm lower than half my laff points, but either way, I'll tough it out. Some people withhold toon ups all together so what good is a toon up gag if you're not going to use it at all?

With a toon that has no toon up, if I'm waiting outside a building if they say "let's go!" it's easy to convey that you want someone w/ toon up to accompany you by saying"Let's use toon up!" and if they reply "Sorry, I can't", say "No problem" "let's find other toons!", "One more?" and then . That doesn't sound mean to me. And if I get into a building and I find I'm in with someone w/o toon up, I will fight more than I will toon the other toon, but I won't let the toon go sad. If they ask for a toon up, I will say "No problem." "Wait a minute"

Does it make me mad knowing that person who couldn't toon me up made me sad? No. Not so long as they played hard, tried to help and we fought hard. If they are totally there not helping at all, I just work like they aren't there. If they, for example, try to use sound on my lures, I will not use lure then. I'll fight offensively, using throw, sound, squirt and just forget about the luring all together. I mean, why waste a lure gag over and over? LOL. Does it make me mad knowing that a person COULD toon me up and didn't? Very. But I figure turnabout is fair play and this is what I have laff points for. If they don't toon me, I don't toon them. Simple as that. But I won't withhold toon up because they chose to create their toon a different way.

Yes Bunny summers you are right but you are a gracious player not everyone is as nice as you. I try to be nice and I think I'm mostly a good toon lol but i'm no saint.
I do all the phrases but not all players care. I dont play my big toons much anymore I'm not much into the factory or mint I get tired of the elevator shuffle. So I was on my helper noob and a 35 wanted me to help with a 3 story I have lvl 5 gags including tu this toon had no tu. I said I think you should choose tu lets find other toons .......... Of course I stink now and I shouldnt be mean and I wasnt nice anymore lol. But i'm trying to max out I dont want to waste my time going sad in building and getting no credit. And I really dislike trolly but cant fish this toon. Its not that I refuse all the time its all depends on my mood and the time I have to play. But with my low toons I really prefer better odds. Beside I know that a toon having tu doesnt mean he will use it.
I have gone sad because a team mate was more concerned with building other gags than with keeping me alive. One of my stupid hang ups is that I will never ever ask to be tooned up even at 1 pt. I hate to be told I need a toonup. Especially if I have been tooning up to that point.

I wasn't telling People they have to pick tu I'm just explaining how I feel when I'm looking to help with a battle. Everyone is different I cant wait to get my tu after finishing ttc because it kills me not being able to toon up especially at those low lvls. You dont always have the gags to kill before they kill the toon down laugh sometimes its the tu that buys them more time and sometimes it fails and they go sad anyway. I just feel better if i'm in battle with someone who can toon me. Oh btw doodles tu as far as I can see considering mine hates me and wants me to go sad [guess I should have fed the poor thing) doesnt give many pts. What is the max they can give anyway?

I feel as do many other toons do that toon-up should be ur first gag. i think that the only gag u should'nt have is either drop or trap u can choose which ever on that one when it comes to me.

I will not help toons go into high lvl buildings or HQ if they do not have toon-up. in my dads case he will try to kill u off if he goes in with a person without toon-up

Well, toon-up is what keeps you alive and keeps going and if someone doesn't have toon-up you don't last as long. Basically it is totally neccasary to have toon-up because without it it makes the game so much harder and obviously you make less friends because they think that you're mean for not caring about other toons (which is what they think because you don't have toon-up to heal them so they think you don't care) and only caring about yourself.
