Over-exaggeration

SO MANY PEOPLE are over-exaggerating about toontown. They think that the whole point of toontown is winning. They don't understand that that toontown is for FUN. It's just a game!

Oh, yes, it most certainly is the need to have fun. But sometimes people see winning as the one and only fun, so they get really up-tight with things. To me, winning is everything. Yep, guilty as charged.

But then again here's what I mean by "winning",

-Playing alongside some of the best friends in Toontown
-Beating back a VP alone, while the other 7 toons are in a Toon-Up ritual circle
-Helping out toons who are new, or just need help
-Saying funny stuff like "PWNED!" when my piano hits a Cog
-Just being plain out wacky

These are the reasons I like Toontown. Although I'm always alone fighting cogs in buildings and often hardly communicate with the factory team I'm with, it's always fun to just play with your friends.

Exactly

I'm with you on that one...when I was in a factory, there was a dog.(I forget her name!) She ALWAYS ran ahead because she thought she was the strongest and knew where to go. She was only 49 LP! Well anyway, she thought she was ALL THAT just because she knew where to go. She ran ahead to the foreman at the end. You know what it ended up in? Well lets just say that she ended up in the playground!

So I think that it is important for toons to stick together and never try to outbeat another toon. You may not feel the same way about this but atleast I know it's right!

Since i'm up to 106 laff and it's hard to get stronger, I mainly just hang out with friends. The only time i do VP, fac, etc. is with good friends.

To me, winning is nothing... I never like bragging about my laff... It makes others feel bad and that can not be considered winning, now can it? I used to just like to hang with friends and beat cogs... Now, cogs bore me to death...

I have been in the same occurence as peaches and cream, except with a 15 laffer. It was so annoying. I once clicked the wrong gag, and he yelled at me and left acting like i would die. All that was left was the easy-to-beat-alone center silo control room. When he saw me in DG, he started saying u stink phrases to me.

I try to help noobs with my help a toon tasks, but they never cooperate-lol
One took forever because he kept doing stupid things, but like I said-it's not about winning.
I sometimes play toontwon just for the laughs. Not as in laugh points, but the lol laughs. I like having parties, races, etc. I don't get mad when I don't win. It;s not nice for people to let you die..

This is my first post here - I wish everyone would read this and believe the "fun" aspect of the game. I got hooked because my son started to play (his babysitter played). My son is 52 LP rabbit - not bad for someone who will be 5 years old soon! He does most of his tasks on his own, with very little help from me and and his uncle, who also plays. Just 5 minutes ago he had a toon yelling "you stink" at him over and over and over again - he doesn't know why. He was in tears because he doesn't know what he did (he had just come out of the tunnel into the playground at DG). This is when I think i need to cancel our account - when it stops being fun and causes tears. My son can defeat a buildings and complete tasks with the best of them, but he can't understand why some people have to be so mean.

Sorry to vent in your thread. For anyone reading this, please remember that in most cases, you don't know who you are playing with - they may be 4 years old or 60 years old. But they are all playing to have some fun!

Thanks

So true Roxy.

I don't know WHY people do this. Its simply not fair, and it happens to me every now and then.. especially when I can't friend someone because my friends list is to the top...

I hope you don't cancel the account. Just because some nasty people on the game say terrible things..

Hope you enjoy Toontown after this Incident, anyway.

Thanks so much Super Stripey! Luckily, for the most part, I have wonderful experiences on TT. I've had my share of share of mean toons, or confusion with toons, but I'm older and wiser than my son, with a much thicker skin. My son, though, can't react as quickly when toons whisper to him (though I swear it's because of TT that he can read already). It's just hard to watch as he takes it so personally because he's so young.

It would be hard for me to give up the game! I have some great friends and I just maxxed my first gag tonight - I can't quit now! Hopefully these types of incidents will be few and far between!

Thanks! Cheers!

I also have a 4 year old who plays. He has his own toon at 58 laff and he also plays my daughter's high laff toon. He has been playing for a long time and is very good, but he can only read a few speedchat phrases, so he doesn't usually doesn't know what someone is saying when they whisper. He can do the factory with no problem at all and he has even vped before (i did the pie throwing for him tho) He has been in tears several times because people intentionally didn't tune him up because he doesn't speedchat. He never says a word so they think he is a snob or something. So if you see a blue rabbit named Emily...it's a 4 year old boy..not a snob! lol and please give him a break, cuz he might put drop on a lured cog..we are still working on that rule.
