Cartoon Themes

I was reading the other forum about jingles and I wondered which cartoon themes do you remember? I was an eighties kid (ok 90's too) so ....

"My little pony, my little pony..."
"By the power of gray skull I HAVE THE POWERRRRR HE-MAN!"
"Transformers... more than meets the eye!"
"Meet George Jetson, his boy Elroy, daughter Judy, Jane his wife..."

Oh and I used to watch a show with two little magical koala bears in it... almost anime type stuff but I can't remember the name of it... one koala was pink and had a magic lipstick that she could draw a teleport tunnel with.. any clue?

I don't remember the music to any of these ones.. but when you mentioned some of the old cartoons, I just about got up to go to the video store to rent some movies of them! (but then i realized its midnight.. )

Anyone got memories of Jem, Rainbow Brite, or the oldschool Carebears? (not the new age yucky ones, but the ones made a loooooooong time ago?)

I think I used to have a rainbow brite costume.. i'll have to ask my mom if she remembers!

Oh Oh OH! Speaking of carebears.. does anyone have any idea where i can buy one of the old movies of them... I don't remember the exact name of it.. but its the one where they were baby carebears and TrueHeart and Nobleheart take care of them.. its the most adorable cartoon i've ever seen! Or how about the one where they get stuck in the crystals in a chandelier? I think one of them may be called "the Carebears: The Movie (and there might be a "The Movie pt. 2")"
I'm prolly just speaking to myself on this one.. but you have to admit, these cartoons ROCKED!

WAY too funny, I was in Toys R Us the other day shopping for the kids' Birthday and saw the Care Bears....was excited a little.....THEN I saw ALMOST all os the Strawberry Shortcake dolls (there isn't Blueberry Muffin ) they made me sooo excited I had to call my mom!!! Then I proceeded to pick up there boxes and take a sniff,,,,,,,,,,,,,MEMORIES!!!

And BTW I remember all the old "jingles" my kids think I am nuts. They are right of course:P I remember all music though, my friends call me the Rain "Man". It is very wierd but if any of my friends or family ever have questions about songs they always call me. I listen to everything from the Violent Femmes to Crosby Stills Nash & Young and just about everything in between....you name it! I hear a song once and it just sticks....weird. I even remember the old ones my dad listened to when I was LITTLE like, 16 tons, Big John, White Cliffs of Dover, Kalijha, ..........the list is endless. OK OK enough babbling :

Sorry!!!!

Cartoon Network. But I have to point out that I have not seen Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears or Rainbow Brite on Cartoon Network.

As a side note, I went to a college Halloween party. One of the freshmen was dressed as a Care Bear, I had to ask her if she even knew what a Care Bear was. And my roommate likes to give me the "Care Bear Stare" because I play games like Toontown.

Just thought i'd mention..

Because of the toon that started this thread, that same night it was started, I went to Amazon.com and bought the "Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation", for MYSELF!!, it came in the mail today and i immediately watched it.
I don't know why people use aging creams and take all sorts of silly medicines to make them look/feel younger.
Watch Cartoons! I feel like i'm 20 years old going on 5.
I think i'm gonna buy Jem now. (but would that put my age into the negatives?)

And to the toon who started this thread: "You Rock!"

(guess i should have checked who made the thread before i wrote all this )

You're not old at all...

Disney never uses the term old... when I worked there they used the term "Young at heart." To this day I still prefer that term. Good for you on buying the movie you always wanted ... cartoon or not... I go into stores all the time and look at the toys... granted I say I bought them for my daughter or son but I really bought them because I always wanted one when I was a kid... That's ok right? Hope you ate some popcorn for me

I've been having MAJOR 80's flashbacks at work. There are Care Bear & Strawberry Shortcake books everywhere! Takes me back to when I was too young for Care Bears but loved them anyway! hehehe

As for another thing... anyone remember these....

Well, they're making them again! The baseball one too... hurray!

Yes! I used to have one of those!

There was a pop song that had the tackle sound from that game. Name that song (I forget).

Edit: I found it. It was Supertramp's "Logical Song".
