Toon vs. Toon

What do you guys/girls think?

Would it be cool, if there was an area, could be like a special playground (ie the cog playground), or like an area in the trolly games where toons can go and play their gags against each other.

This can be a one on one, or upto a 4 on 4 area, where you will be in the regular fight format but instead of 4 toons and 4 cogs, you will have 4 toons vs. 4 toons, or any number of combinations.

All the rest of the rules apply as normal.

I think it would be a fun place to go to, and pit your skillz against another players skillz.

So what you all think?

I'd like it more if it were a real-time pie fight (a la final VP battle) instead of using your actual gags.

Maybe a FOOD FIGHT!!! Picnic tables worth of ammunition, and upper-levels for the sniper toons out there.

After so many hits, toons would no longer be able to gather ammo... and hits against them would no longer increase point totals (but you could still do it for "fun" and they can still return the favor). The toon at the end with the most "hits" scored would win, and bonus points given for the last toon standing.

This would have TONS of replay value for most toons who are already bored with what's currently offered. The key would be to not add anything customizable to it though, so it stays evenly playable by toons of all laffpoints.

EDIT: It would NEED to have an elevator lift to enter, so no new toons jump in during the battle... however, a new batch of toons could jump into a new session right behind them without waiting.

hehe There are a few toons that need a good sad break from me! Yes the PvP in the game would be fun!!

I had a related idea last night. I think it would be cool as you advance in Cog Suit levels, if you could use that Cog's special attack (Quake for Mover and Shaker, etc). Maybe in the Cog HQ area, there would be an area for toons in cog suits to face off against other toons, using the Cog attacks?

I like this idea as well. I like PVE, but it allways gets boring after a while. Players can allways beat AI, it just takes time. But PVP never really gets boring. Other people are just as adaptive and inventive as you. I have allways had a special spot in my heart for PVP.

actually, this idea was submitted ages ago. i cant really find the board where it was suggested though

but, it wouldnt really work :\
1- if you bring in a cake, that does 100 damage. if you have 110 health, you are near dead. would end too quickly

2- disney doesnt really promote the violence factor into this game. throwing pies and such at cogs are suppose to make them laugh and explode. since toons have a sense of humor, it wouldnt really affect them.
having toons hit each other with pies and such would be more of a "im better than that toon" type thing. and, knowing disney "everyone is equal"

Yeah that is true...The gag attacking other toons wouldnt work though the "Pie Throwing Competition" Would be great! Heh that would really want to make me continue playing. It would be so much fun to have a special Pie throwing zone...

I've thought about this as well. I was thinking about something along the lines of you taking your toon and his cog suit and perhaps taking over a bldg. I think the cog toons should have the same power and laff as the cog suit they have on. Normal toons can enter your bldg and battle as if it were a normal bldg. I think it should be near impossible to win against an equally matched toon but it would be something else to do with that Hollywood suit. Might be fun to get a group together and see how long you can hold out in a bldg.

this has been suggested over and over and im all for it but because its disney i doubt it will ever happen

We've been talking about PvP in Toontown since the beta days.

Perhaps, You could enter a Zone Where you get pies and can heal other toons like in the VP battle. Helpers could just go, and when a low laff toon goes in, Bam! Bam! Full Laff for the poor little hurt toon

EDIT: More thoughts, It could be good for practicing VP skills!

Well, the key to my version is that it makes it a level playing field. 15-Laffers can go head-to-head with 111-Laffers and have an equal chance at victory. It would be treated like a Trolley game, and there's little "true violence" in the suggestion of a food fight. I think Disney could easily implement this without imparting more than a sense of fair competition between toons with the only true reward being jellybeans. Anything like trophies or similar would change it too much... It would need to stay a lighthearted competition (think of it like the Tug-o-War when youhave toons on both sides of the rope, or Match Minnie, etc.).

I love the idea of PVP but I'm sure I would get blown away by some 9 year old, grew up playing nintendo, LPB.

I'm having these flashes of Toon Town Turniment. I can see it now, a firehose with a scope, a pie launcher, and BFSB 9000.

I would be happy if they just got more people to play the trolly games and added a few more of those.
