A little, tiny, great, big rant!

Experience in fishing tonight:

Two cats were chatting up a storm. Lots of meow meow meows flying... kind of annoying but nothing to get upset about. Enter the 110 laff lime green bunny. He decides that he doesn't like it and starts a barrage of what must have been nonsense chat because it was coming so fast. Soon little eeps filled the air. He then started with the stinky phrases and growls at one of the cats. He repeatedly stated that this was too risky for her even though she too was 110. He also said "curiousity kills the cat" and "sounds good to me" as a statement together. He was just plain being mean.

Now, my little rant, just because you can't understand other people's secret chat does not give you the right to be mean. We all pay for this game, we pay for the right to secret chat. No one denies you your right to secret chat and you shant deny anyone else theres. Being rude to other toons because they are secret chatting is immature. Grow up!

I hate when that happens to me also, especially when I enter an elevator with 1 or 2 of my friends and another toon jumps in at the last second. We didn't invite the person to join us, they have no right to be angry at our converstion.

I also tend to avoid crowded districts, so there is rarely a crowd at the elevators.

i don't secret chat very much....and it is sort of annoying when someone else does it when you are around.....
if you are just fishing, then obviosly he was just out to be rude (watch his account to see that i bet he has a 16laffer who loves annoying toons at the factory)
if you are in a building, then it is more than rude, it can be dangerous too, as it is not clear to everyone what is going on....also you can be having so much fun yakking and joking, you may not pay attention to the battle....

it's just that secret chat is SO much easier than choosing speedchat...it can be hard to remember that maybe not everyone heard you...
i do not blame or resent anyone for using secret chart in a building, and i try to remember that secret chat is better....but when i am secret chatting i also try to remember to restate stuff that is going on with speedchat, so hopefully the other toon will understand that they are not excluded from anything that is Important and hope they do not mind.

so secret chat away, it's one of the things that makes TT so much fun!!
just restate anything pertaining to battle also using speedchat so you are sure to include all the toons on stuff that is Important to the battle. if you are not in the factory or in a building, i think you can do whatever you want whenever you want with secretchat.
he was just out to ruin someone's day, and he happened upon you.

Hey,

I don't mind Secret. What do I care what you are talking about. Some people are just paranoid.

Actually, he was a 110 laffer as I stated in the original post.

See, thing is, I pay for Toontown. My $9.95 a month gives me the right to secret chat with my friends who also pay for Toontown. No one has the right to try to stifle my speech. And to be just plain annoying and rude because I'm talking to a friend is just wrong. Does this person run up and scream in people's faces when they're trying to chat? I think not. That would be considered rude. Being behind a computer screen and playing a character does not give you the right to be mean and rude. There are still people behind those other characters.

I agree with you regarding building chatting... when I'm in a building with a secret friend and non-secret toons, I always make sure to include the non-secrets by speedchatting too. It's just the polite thing to do, you know? Typing an annoying string of nonsense so that your little toon voice is constantly filling the air is not polite.

My point is that if i'm going into a building with my sf then we want to be able to talk to each other. If an uninvited toon joins us, I will play and speed chat as necessary, but don't expect me to stop talking to my friends.

I just turn the volume down on my puter when I get into a group of secret chatters.
