Hello out there!

A while before Christmas I decided to take a hiatus from ToonTown for a number of reasons. Well, I got the "Back Stage" update email and read what's up and coming, so I decided to log in and see how horrible the download was.

To my surprise, a huge number of people had NOT deleted me from their friends lists, for which I am extremely grateful. I had expected maybe one or two people to still have me listed. Have they dramaticly changed the number of people allowed on friends lists?

I popped into Toon HQ and was delighted to discover that I can now get tasks! Since lack of taskage was the main reason I left, things are shaping up well for me to rejoin the ToonTown family.

If you would be so kind, can some kind person clue me in on any major changes to the game? And possibly give me instructions on how to access the test center? We all know that's where the real action is. (Please disregard the last request; I signed up for the waiting list.)

Only the Real Hardcore Toons hang on the Test server. For a while this afternoon, I was the only one on. 10-12 is usually the most that you'll see on Test at one time.
By comparison, at the same time, there were over 1,100 users logged in on LE.

If that doesn't turn you off, here is an excerpt from the Test server invite:
Quote:
To be able to access the server, you must first sign up for our
waiting list. Periodically, as we need more people on the server, we
will pull names off the waiting list and send an acceptance email with
instructions on how to access the server. To get on the waiting list
for the test server, please sign up with your current Toontown
subscription username and password that you use to play the game using
the web page below.
http://play.toontown.com/signUpForTest.php
If you are interested in participating on this test server, you must
be a paid Toontown subscriber. Playing on the test server is free of
charge to subscribers, is by invitation only, and access may be
revoked at any time. You will still have full access to the normal
Toontown servers under your current account name while participating
in the test. The test version will be installed into a different
directory and will not interfere with the official version. Your
account settings and Toons will not be shared between the test and
official servers.

Thanks, Kid

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I read all the updates. What I was asking if something had changed that hadn't made it onto the official update pages.

If you call 3 - 20 toons split between 2 servers action then you have it right.

Huh

I'm surprised. For most games that I've been involved in, the test centers were usually the most interesting places to be. (Do you think I have enough qualifiers in that sentence?)

Are they low in population because of constant character wipes or extreme bugginess? Or are there truly only about 30 test subjects?

My Mood:
Recently I was referring to Test server(s) as LE2 because there was nothing to test.

Now we have some emotes and invasions by high-powered cogs (manually triggered ... ie during business hours). My "business hours down here are not USA business hours so I have no idea what an invasion looks like yet.

Yes, the number of toons on Test has risen a but lately, often reaching double figures for brief periods. This I guess is in anticipation of the opening of Cog HQ. Then we will have something to test that will hold the interest. But when that is I have no idea.
