Hackers on toontown

My, "friend" just hacked my other friends account and removed all his sf's and friends but 7: Me, Himself, His friend, and a few other ones. He said bad and innapropriate things to his best secret friend. He gave him bad tasks. And "the victim's" account? All toons removed, other than he best, and all other places having noobs. And if you're a hacker, hack somewhere else. There are kids who would be very upset to see that their toon got deleted.

Hi McSqueaky, what do you mean when you say "hacked"? To take over someone's account and delete toons, I believe that someone would need 3 pieces of information: the account name, the account password, and the parent password. (Or maybe just the first two). Did they really "hack" these, or did your friend voluntarily share some/all of this information with the hacker? Just wondering.

Tom, I have noticed an incrasing number of toons going on each others accounts, I am sure this is how it happened.

There has been increasing numbers of this happening & most of the time it's usually:

ToonA asks ToonB if he can "play on his toon." ToonA says that he can trust him. ToonB gives ToonA his password & account name. ToonA goes onto the account & deletes all of his secret friends and/or all of his toons. ToonB tells everyone his account was "hacked".

While it's true, there is a possibility that accounts can be hacked by virus & the like, most hackers won't take the time to try to hack something as trivial as a game password. Most hackers are after credit card info, social security cards, money, etc.

speaking of hackers. Can some one tell me if this is a hacker. I was in Toontown central helping a new toon. when we happened upon 3 other toon in a battle. I jumped in to help I notice that one toon was at -1 laff so I quickly tried to toon her up before she dies but everytime I tried it didn't toon her up. also she just kept walking around the streets in toon town like that. Is that a hacker.

That's not a hacker, that's just a bug. First of all, you can't toon up anyone who's -1 laff points. They're just sad. So that's why that didn't work. Second, there is a bug that sad toons can walk around the streets.

Actually I once went sad in a building but somehow was able to stay in and finish the fight. The other toons with me were also able to toon me up and we ended up winning. It was very odd, but I was pretty happy since I needed the building! I aslo saw a toon who was -1 in the hq last night...I didn't get how she was able to do that but I assumed it was a bug.

About the sad walking around the street... if you Alt F4 out of the vp battle it teleports you to the courtyard and you can leave back in to Oak street. Pointless but kinda fun glitch to see.

Yep, they CAN get them back but it's usually a week or two before they get around to it. And some people have said they had to e-mail them a few times and THEN call them to get them "on the ball" about it. But that's the way to go if you get your toon deleted.

the only way an account is gonna be hacked is if someone hacks "your" computer and gets the info from there not many people realize that the toontown game is actually on the server and not on their computer all they have it the initializing software, this is also the reason nobody can create cheats because they don't have access to the code!

He never told him his name and code so we dont know what happened. The "hacker" as you may call him just drops the subject when we ask... He has no idea how to hack anyway so he probably just got the guys password saved on his computer by accident.




...Wait... did you say... no cheats...?
