It's not how many laff it gives, it's what sound the toon makes.

Ok, a toon up can miss just like any other gag (they used to have it where it'd always work). You have to get at least +2 points for the toon up gag to give you credit, from what I understand. Now there are varying points you get for each level of toon up gag. The higher the gag, the more it'll heal you.

Gag Healing
Feather: 8-10 +Laff One Toon 2
Megaphone: 15-18 +Laff multiple toons
Lipstick: 25-30 +Laff One Toon
Bamboo Cane: 40-45 +Laff divided among Toons
Pixie Dust: 60-70 +Laff One Toon
Juggling Balls: 90-120 +Laff divided among Toons

Tip for choosing gags

When you choose the gag to use, the gags that you will get experience points for will be in dark blue, the ones you won't get points for is a little darker in color. So if you are working with a level 2 cog you might be able to use leve 1 or level 2 gags to get points. But if you choose the darkened gag, you won't.

If you are soloing a building, and you have one higher level cog. You can use your higher gags on lower toons and get experience points as long as you work on those first before you go after the higher level cog.

Ok that makes sense but what about...

Ok, the points you receive make sense;but what about the laf points that seem to magically decrease?

Has anyone been in a battle, given or received a toon up and then after the round seen the laf pt of the toons which were full decrease as if by magic without any attack by the cogs? What is up with that?

"Did you see that?"

Just curious....

Yeah, I noticed

I don't know if that is a bug or not. I have noticed the magically dissappearing laff points. I also have noticed how some toons will get a +1 laff boist as if from no where. And I also noticed how the toon ups are missing really bad now.

I have noticed the +1 laff bost too Dutch. Maybe the decuction of laf pts has something to do with the strength of the attacks used against cogs vs the gags used? I have notice in VP fight that the juggling tune up used by one toon will have the deduction in laf points while the use of the dancing tune up by one or two toons will not.

Anyone have any insight here?

As you used to be able to say with Speedchat, "That's a bug"!

Toon(s) mysteriously losing lots of laff happens occasionally after a toon has used the "Juggling" toon-up gag. I keep expecting this one to be fixed, but it still pops up now and again.

The "+1" while you're in a building is kind of strange, too. It happens after someone toons you up, but that toonup leaves you one point short of being at full laff. Usually you will get the "+1" in the next 30 seconds or so and be at full laff.

Happy Tooning - and report those bugs to Disney when they happen so we can get them fixed!

I've always thought of the +1 phenomenon as the toon-up gave
an additional 1/2 laff in the last round and the game corrects it by
rounding it up at the start of the next round.

That's a good theory! I myself figured it was some kind of client/server resynch due to latency lag or something...

Missed Toon Up

If you actually toon up another toon for 1 point. Then why do you get no credit? If the toon is at full laff, then there is no +1, just a small laugh. If you actually toon them +1, then you should get toon up points!

And I too noticed, about 3-4 weeks ago, that toon up started to "miss" more often, or atleast not do the maximum. Was a very unpleasant surprise in a 5 story building!

IF the toon only gets +1 and he was lacking only 1 point then you again have to look for the "ha ha ha" or the "hmmm" as fat bebop listed above.

If you are using a level two toon up, you will always get at least +2 if the toon can take it. Further floor multipliers apply as well. If you use a level 1 gag on the second floor it will be a +2... I think...for a miss. So really you have to look at what the toons say when you toon them!
