Why not have a PLAYER WIPE?

I was thinking about this before and thought I would maybe pose the question to the TTC groupies.

If disney was suddenly able to incorporate all the rest of the Cog HQs, the 2 or 3 new areas and the main COG Lair (rumoured), if they could do all that at once, how would you feel about having a player wipe if it meant you could go through a natural progression of the game?

[For those of you that aren't in the know, a player wipe is when your character gets reset to the beginning. You have to recomplete all your tasks, etc.]

Wouldn't it be neat to start the game over and have a story to work through as well as be able to only access things when your REALLY ready? To have a game to finish? What do you think?

You should get new tasks and everything at 100 laff, and be able to go to 120 with the HQ tasks and everything

NOOOO! I like my toons & worked for awhile to get them where they are for a reason. I'd be ultra (since it's a g-rated site) mad if they wiped my toons clean of gags & laffs. I'd cancel my subscription in a heartbeat if that was the case.

I would also cancel my subsciption if they deleted all of my toons. I have worked very hard for them.

Well how about this then, what if they dedicated say 3 districts (servers) to our old toons, and left 15 for new toons so that we have a story to run through. Think about it with an open mind, not "Ive been working on this for awhile and dont want to give it up."

Now now... thats not very nice. Im not saying we go and roleplay. Im saying that we have tasks that are kind of a story onto itself.

Roleplaying is different. Roleplaying is when we (all us players)create a story of our own. I mean the game has a set story.

You can always start a new toon. Just delete YOUR maxxed character and start over.

I have 2 toons. After I got to a point, I thought gee, I wish I had gotten toon up first. I was fun and I do play both alternating days.

I have spent a lot of time on both. I would be thoroughly heated if they were just wiped out. Especially my 83 toon. I spent almost 2 weeks, 4 hours a night getting the key to daisy gardens. I wouldn't want to do that again.

I am keeping an open mind. Already with Cog HQ it's starting to get boring for me to a certain extent. I've started a total of 4 toons, got 3 of them to 100 laffs & another midway through. Do I want to start over? No. If I wanted to start over, I'd create a new toon.

The idea of having a certain number of districts set aside for high laffers, I'd be game for. But honestly, if they ever did something like a clean wipe, I'd be gone!

My favorite toon to play is Bunny Summers. If I had to start over with her...well, I wouldn't.

I am beginning to think that you are just a troll. This suggestion has been made in forums for other games all the time. (Normally by a 14 year old trying to get a lot of angry posts). No company has every done something so STUPID on their production servers. No one could ever trust that company not to do another wipe sometime in the future.

There are games like Everquest and DAOC that have test server where they reserve the right to wipe toons and equipment. These servers have about 5% of the population that are on normal servers.

This could not and will not happen. I think you made this post just to see how many people you could get angry at Disney. Sounds like a troll to me.
