Question Does more expensive mean better?

When it comes to a doodle, are the ones that cost more the better doodles? In DDL they range from 3000 or so to almost five thousand...

I always look at their traits. Just because a doodle costs more, doesn't mean it will perform better for you in the long run. When I purchase a doodle for the first time on a little toon, I usually go to Donald's Dock and pick out a doodle with Standard traits. After that I will wait until I get my 5000 bean bank and pick one from Dondal's Dreamland. The traits I look for are, rarely tired/confused/bored/grumpy/hungry etc. and Always happy/affectionate/ etc. The traits are what makes the doodle. If you pick a doodle from Dreamland that is sometimes confused s/he may not do a trick in the middle of a battle when it is needed the most.

Well to make a LONG story short.......

Look at the doodle's traits. The better the traits, the better the doodle.

Yeah, but one of my sfs got a DD or TTC doodle and she is really carefully training each trick and she doesn't some people go to her house, because it might confuse the doodle. She's gotten really far.

Yes, it does. On my account I have 1 TTC doodle & 1 DDL doodle. I tell the TTC one to jump, just once, it gets tired right after it does the trick. I tell the DDL one to jump, it's able to do it twice before getting tired. It doesn't seem like much of a difference, but after both get tired... I scratch the TTC doodle, it remains tired, I scratch the DDL doodle, it grows a giant heart above it's head, ready to perform it's next trick right away. Not only that, but in terms of performance, the DDL doodle usually only takes 1-3 commands before performing its trick, while the TTC doodle takes appx. 2-4 commands before performing it's trick. (Btw this is just my personal analysis on my 2 doodles.)

Yep, they sound pretty good. I think that's pretty similar to what my DDL doodle Sal. has. Rarely tired = should be able to do a few tricks before the tired symbol appears, Rarely lonely = should'nt need other doodles around/ perfectly fine w/ out another doodle, Always affectionate = when doodle is tired, commonly, if you scratch it, it'll grow a heart above its head, & Often playful = often ready to perform the tricks ordered to it.

In addition to needing less commands to perform and recovery time, the DDL Doodles gain "trick experience" faster. The lower cost Doodles advance in training 1 out of 3-4 tricks performed. The DDL Doodles gain a "click" of experience every other trick. The more experienced they are in a given trick.....the more often they do it AND don't get tired as easy.

My Doodle Pavlov has reached 7 Laff for JUMP. I bought him in DDL He can do 3 consecutive jumps before getting tired.

As far as attributes go, the other posts are right! I prefer "Rarely/Never Confused" over Rarely/Never Lonely. Confused is what happens when they don't perform when asked.

Cool Topic.....Later Taters
