Yes, kudos to Disney for listening to our pleas on that score. No more shall we be unable to get into Nutty River because of all the toons who stay logged in 24/7 and yet hardly play. I wish I had seen them all fall asleep too, oh well, i'm sure they will still try.

I dont know about macro users or jumpers/swimmers elsewhere but the toons in ddl were leaving one by, although there were some still joining. i think after a while once people realise that leaving there toon jumping serves no purpose other than to waste electricity they will soon stop. there seemed to be about 20 toons there, alot less than the 60 or so ive seen in the past. I think disney must be logging our actions now, so i would advise macro users to be abit more careful, any repetative quitting from estates will be more noticable to there logging systems. you never know what there upto

Even if I am known to jump my uber there, I still say.. Excellent! It will make it easier to get into river to begin with.

It appears the SBHQ beanfest is still in operation. The CCG fest is being planned and the Stratics beanfest is every Sunday as usual. That'll be more than enough beans for anyone who is too lazy to get them (like my uber).

Unless they fixed the bad estate lag with this new update, I wouldn't WANT to macro at my estate.

I went on for a few minutes this afternoon. I actually saw Nutty River turn green. Just for a second, but it was the first time in months I've seen it green. Lets hope this works.

Only problem is I was booted off when I went to get a snack and something to drink this afternoon. My toon was swimming at my estate for just a few minutes before going to sleep. I wish they'd let you stay on a little longer than that! Maybe put them to sleep if idle for more than an hour? With three kids around I have to leave the computer often and sometimes for more than a couple minutes. If this helps keep NR green I am all for it, but I think it will always be a red district for the invasions (though maybe I'll be able to get in easier in the mornings now!). In the meantime I will have to let my 4 yr old run my toon around if I need to step away from the computer for more than a couple minutes, lol

Yeah swimming for AFK doesn't work as well. However, i think this is a good thing coz today I saw NR with green light and also not laggy when i went to shop for my gags as always.

Good Job Disney...Way to go!

I timed it last night, and without activity, a toon goes sleepy (ZZZZs above head, but not logged out yet) in 2 minutes. I was going into a CJ, so didn't have time to experiment with how long it would take to completely log you out... will try that sometime soon.

It's five minutes before they log you out. You fall asleep after two minutes and get kicked after another three.

I think they should actually extend that a little bit. It'd be nice to have time to answer a telephone or get a glass of water. They should kick a toon out after 15 minutes of idleness or repeated jumping action I think.

I mean, I go and stand at beanfests, or jump, or even walk around in circles, but I am HERE. I do not leave my game unattended while I'm online unless I'm making coffee, getting water, or changing the baby. I will make my toons jump/swim/walk if I'm running the vacuum or standing at the door (8 feet away, I can still see my character) while puppy goes out. I will even let them jump while I am right here at the keyboard reading or writing. It's a household rule that we're not to leave a toon online without someone attending it. After I get the beans I need I go off on my merry way.

I even log out for ten or fifteen minutes to get the mail or clean another room just to come back and log right back in again. I'd rather log out than leave a toon online.

And I actually prefer to fish for my beans, it's just that my ubers can't fish and I don't have the hours to play trolley games.

I don't mind the beanfesters as much as I mind those who are just jumping to save their spot in the "busy district" (and who are actually CREATING their own problem). If toons would just log out then the "busy district" would cycle through all the servers as it is intended to and not bog down just one every day.

BTW, I've notice Funnyfield was just flooded with invasions yesterday. Everytime I logged back in I was put there and invasions were coming one or two minutes apart there, even though it wasn't red, just green.

I'm with you... I think 5 minutes is too short. When (ahem) nature calls, or you need to answer the phone, I think doubling that to ten minutes would be better. 15 would probably work too.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy about this! Made my blood boil everytime I would get into the busy district (after half hour or more) to see 100 toons jumping in DDL.

Are you sure its five minutes? I was taking breaks that were longer than 5 yesterday and never got logged off. Actually maybe its so much time doing a repetitive thing like jumping or swimming then you go to sleep, then 3 minutes later you get logged off. I jumped for up to 10 minutes today without being kicked off, but I did see jumpers get the boot.

Also, I don't know how well the jumping was fixed as i had an SF jumping outside of the CFO for well over 7 hours yesterday so we could TP from gag shop to her.

Maybe it is something to do with the way you jump. I have never used a Macro to jump...I just put a paperweight on my CTRL key. I call this my non-geek macro.

sorry to say this doesn't really fix anything. now people will just tape down the arrow keys so that they run around in circles.

I wondered about that. . I've always tried to get into River, and at first it seemed easy, when I'd look to see if it was open, it wouldn't take long to see it green and then go, but lately when I tried it took over 15 minutes for it to finally let me in.

I guess this is good, and yet bad. I hate when I go away to clean or something and don't want to get booted out; So I go to my pond and swim (And this is really just in any district) It's annoying coming back onto game sometimes, because it get's laggy here and there.

Does this mean we can no longer be 'swimmer's?'
