Beware all building theives

So I'm standing outside of a 5 story sell building in ddl waiting for a group to form with my 81 laffer. I have a task for 5 story buildings in DDL plus I need around 80 or so merits to VP. I toon walks up to me and says "Let's wait for my friend" and I reply "OK". His friend tp's and he says "Let's wait for my friend"... again I reply "OK" and the new toon pops in. Well they SF chat for a minute and I see them backing up. All of a sudden another toon appears and they make a run for it. I see the Hee Hee's and I need more merits from the toons well that did it.

As the doors close my big toon pops in! Opps, somehow that sell building just got invaded by penny pinchers. Looks like they won't be getting any merits and wouldn't you know it after the pinchers took over then a blood sucker invasion occured, and after that one pencil pushers decided to invaded. As the door opened I said "Opps! and I need more merits" and my big toon takes a bow and tp's out. Needless to say those toons atmost got 20 merits out of the building and I'm hoping they learned a lesson cause I still have Invasions left!

the building should be first ones there. to steal it from another toon is just plain mean. we all have waited for building before so we know what its like to finally find what you need then to have a group come and take it from you is not right.

LOL At least someone has found a good use for the invasion rewards, other than earning more notices to earn more invasion rewards. At last, a way to hit building thieves where it hurts...in their merits.

You'll find that stealing buildings will get you a reputation pretty quickly, and not one you'll enjoy having. Yeah, you got the building, but now people know what you play like as well. If anyone here needs to do some growing up, you might want to do some self evaluation. Consideration is something ALL people should use.

There is quite a moral argument going on. Let's look at it form both ways.
Yes- It serves them right for meddling in that building!
No- It's unfair for them. They got in, so they should get the rewards.
Yes-But they stole them from you. You were about to pounce, got a friend, and then more then you bargained for. It serves them right.
No- They got in!

The rest of the argument wiould be too long to write down. But on one hand, they're in the building. On the other you were going to go in it. The way I see it if you were early they stole your reward. You every right to try and destroy it. if you cam in late. It wasn't your reward, and it would be a waste of an invasion to use it. It's jsut my opinion, but it might work.

that happened to me yesterday

we were waiting for people adn then another grop came and started calling low laffers and she was stupid cause it was a 5 story sell, calling people under 60 laff and she was a 72 dog

we ended up leaving and going to a diff district and found another 5 story cashbot building

i wish i could have pushed thar dog into that building and have her die/go sad

i tried to ditch those toons so we could do the building and then they were there to ditch us and didnt wanna do it, just there for annoyance

edit: if i had alot of invasion cards i would call a Big Wig invasion or big cheese invasion, just to make it tough on them :-P

i agree completely that was an excellent way to use your invasion. if more people would do the same thing that you did maybe that would be a deterant for building thieves.

True, a building belongs to no one until they are in the elevator. But just because something is legal doesn't make it right! There is actually NO shortage of 5 story sell buildings anymore, did you know that? The toons who took the building could have spent the time they spent calling friends and probably found another in less time. I personally found THREE on one street in DDL last night, with no one around. Also, if it was only merits you were after (if you didn't need the building for a task) - did you know you now get WAY more merits in the factory? You do the math - oops, looks like you can't. But now you are stuck with the time wasted and a reputation to go with it. Woohoo! I sure hope you find it was worth it in the end.

OP I sure wish there were some way to let me know those other names...oh well *sigh*

I am curious though Dusty why you and your friends would take this building from a toon who has a task for it? With all of the invasions going on you can get big merits by doing the factory. I got over 700 merits for one long run the other day. Well I guess to each their own..
