New Task Idea :)

[Loosy Goosy]

I posted this in the idea thread, but am starting a new one here
for discussion.

Fun Task, available in Dreamland only:

Defeat XXX cogs
(or whatever)

Reward: boost Squirting Flower damage by 10
(or any other L1 gag)

They could cap it if necessary, depending on the gag. For
example, Squirting Flower could be capped at a max of 40
damage, so a toon could take the task 4 times to get it that high.

They could even factor in an experience boost for using them as
well, but it wouldn't be necessary.

How fun would it be to see uber toons using L1 gags! There
really would be no harm, since DL taskers will have already
achieved L5 gags.

What do ya think?

I'm sorry to say that I don't agree with you. Although it is a good idea, it would cause some major task confusion as in your example, a LV 1 squirt woulld have the same power as a LV 4 Drop gag, which would be insane because then soon enough, the Damage point inflation would cause a LV 12 cog to be beaten up by a bunch of Squirt flowers. Now that's scary. But I do like your idea if it were only appied to maxxed gags in preparation for Cog HQ.

Level 1 Gags are my absolute favorite, I love this idea. "Gemming" our squirting flowers! Muahahaha!

Gemming is from another game, but similar idea.

Maybe make them slightly different colours so that you know it's a level 1 gag made stronger though. I can imagine a bunch of toons breaking out these Blue Super Squirting Flowers or a Blazing Bike Horn! Bring it on!

Yea that's a good idea to make a distinction between a tweaked
L1 gag and a non-tweaked one. Perhaps in the other toon's gag
selection window have the background red, and have the actual
gag much larger than normal.

Interesting, though..When I first started playing I would see 100 laff toons and would click open to see their gags and some would have some lev. 1 gags filled up. I thought that after completing the row it would maybe circulate with the lil gags being worth big points. Well, then I got a brain, found ttc, met some sf toons and saw WHY those 100 laffers (and others) chose those cute lil baby gags

hehe yea, actually I'm only at L54 and carry the Squirting Flower
for my dropping comrades. It's a good habit to adopt

Call me a Mercenary. Being able to carry 80 gags is great for helping others train because you can carry some extra Lvl. 1 gags w/out jeapardizing your ability to carry the larger gags.

Or you can just break out the flower to be silly & have fun

With the eminent arrival of cog HQ...it might be nice to be able to level up ALL gags in that fashion.

Taking that idea and kicking it up a notch. I keep hoping for some sort of tweak of our gags. Heck...I'd be happy to have an extra TNT or Piano too

That sounds cool if applied to all gags, but it would change the
balance of the fight too much, especially in buildings. If it applied
to CogHQ only, it might be nice.

Limiting it to L1 gags wouldn't harm the current
neighborhood battles

itd be nice if something new came out! ive lost interest arg i wish i could trade in my old tasks im working on for new ones caz i hate them so much i dont wanna play!
