I'll be taking a break from TTC due to various reasons, mostly because this community got boring.
I might come on from time to time.
Bye.

Your entitled to your own opinions about the site.

To touch on moderators though, we are all volunteers. We aren't paid (except in doughnuts) and some of us have families to take care of. We can't be expected to stay on the site 24/7 but we do try and stay on as much as possible.

"Slow mods"? Why was that included? Doc makes a good point and I agree. Repetitive community? Okay, so you have a good point as well...

Reptitive community?

Slow mods?

Now, I know the mods aren't slow; there is usually at least 1 online at all times.

But if you feel that way, then see ya.

Slow mods........

Same as Big Flip said, there are a REALLY good 48 of them, so at least 1 should be online at all times, and plus, they aren't robots. You can't really expect them to do what you say immediately. As Doc said, if they really ARE slow, they're probably...

A) Eating the doughnuts they're paid
B) Taking care of Real Life problems
C) You're forgetting that Toontown Central has 5 other sister sites, and half of the mods moderate on all 5 of them too.

Not true. Most of the time there are no moderators, Administrators, etc. online. Especially in the morning to almost the afternoon. But, they have there own lives to live as we do also. But, I have to agree with Matt. He is right. I love this site, but he does have a very good point.

The Mods are not slow, they try to be on 24/7 and we all know it. I disagree with that and the Reptitive community.

Just because you can't see us doesn't mean we are not here. Often when we are reading posts, approving pictures, etc, we are in invisible mode to reduce the number of interuptions that can occur.

Trust me - there is someone (usually several someones) keeping an eye on the boards all the time - the only time someone might not be here would be the wee hours of the night in the US, but we have several oversea mods, so they keep an eye out during those times.

Yeah, and what does slow mods have to do with anything? Do you need the mods for something you have, or are you just trying to complain? They do the best they can, and new ones are always being added. If you think a mod is not doing their business right, then PM Nick or Batleth and let them know.

Agreed. Strongly. Mods can be on invisible mode (Which we *I think* can not use) so there are probably more than 10 on EACH DAY. They work very hard. And Repetitive community? No. We are not Repetitive. We try to be very nice. Maybe a few fights or two, but we all do well if we try.

Kind of pointless to post on this thread as this person has already mad the decision to say goodbye. But just to back the mods up, I used to Moderate a forum that involved many members ranging from young kids to adults who are kids at heart. It's difficult when the forum consists of a relatively "large" member base. Admins and Mods are volunteers and can't be expected to be on all the time. What time zone each of them are in, depends on what time they can be on. What helps them most is when members follow the forum rules. And yes... Admins and Mods can be in invisible mode.

Boy - maybe you were the boring part? When you leave, we'll start the fun back up. We were hiding it from you....

Sorry to be blunt, but if you are leaving do you really feel it necessary to shoot off a snide comment on your way? Just leave already....

People who do this usually want someone to beg them to stay. I personally say "have fun - sorry we didn't meet your standards!"
